Ross buys overproduced and unsold merchandise from manufacturers at a discount. Typical merchandise includes clothing, footwear, linens, home decor, beauty products, housewares, etcetera. When I was walking around the store, I noticed that the racks and shelves were full of miscellaneous merchandise. Especially for clothing, customers must really sift through the racks to find what they like. I selected a bath mat for $7 and a jar of fig preserves for $4. Both of these products had prices that were significantly lower than what other retailers would charge. The cashier interacted with me in a very friendly manner. Overall, Ross is not one of my favorite stores, but I like to shop here occasionally to find bargains.

Still 5 stars amazing store. My mom is such a big fan she got their credit card. Today they were having IT issues and the credit card got charged twice, but it was showing as declined. Jessica came in on a day off to help the new girl get it sorted out and called like 5 customer service lines herself too. Eventually it went through and she's working on getting the duplicate charges removed. It's apparently a Corp wide IT problem today. The new girl was very friendly helping us find new outfits for a wedding. She set up a changing room for my handicapped mom and was running around for her with different sizes and suggestions today. My mom got 2 outfits, a sweater, and a t shirt today. We love Torrid and how Jessica runs this location, she really cares about it and about her customers. I've been a regular for many years and will continue to be.

I live in Los Angeles now, and my sister was kind enough to buy me some gauged earrings from Earthshine for Christmas. They were not the size on the packaging. I called the store and asked to return them, expecting the same friendliness I had experienced in person for so many years. Instead, the owner, in a very rude tone, refused to take back the merchandise. I was working in the fashion industry at the time, and knew it was her responsibility to ask for a refund from her supplier. I remained calm, but instead of discussing it like an adult, she raised her voice to me and then said: "I have REAL customers coming in the store now," and hung up on me. These is not even so much about me as it is about my sister. She only had $100 to her name at the time and spent $20 on these earrings. I know how hard she worked to get them. To be honest and fair: They have great items there. I loved supporting them as a local small business before this happened. The girls that worked for the owner were also great. I would just recommend not buying any body jewelry from them unless you have a gauge wheel with you. It's been a couple years since this happened, but every once in a while something reminds me of it and it still bugs me.
