We were in the area and decided to stop by and shop for our expecting little one. Once Upon A Child is known for being the kiddo's version of a Plato's closet where you can resell gently used items and new items. We came in shopped around, we were sticker shocked at some of these prices because we have seen better prices at a Burlington, and what not but wanted to give them a try. That being said, we did end up finding a few great deals after digging around. They have a $10 for 10 onesies area where we were able to find a bunch of newborn onesies in great condition. A lot of their toys, and walkers were super high priced for a resale and with missing pieces. The other thing is that we had little to no interaction with the staff, but the little interaction we did have they were actually very brunt and rather rude for no reason. I overheard a few conversations with others and they did get a bit snippy. Not sure we'll be back to this location, but if you're looking for a deal on gently used items, and have the time to dig around you're bound to find a few great things. read more

Rude staff! Items marked wrong! The cashier rolled her eyes when she saw us waiting at the register. Picked up a body suit that was marked as a t-shirt tried to argue it was a t-shirt. CLEARLY WASNT went to a coworker and a manager to say it was a t-shirt and then ended up charging me full price and didn't do the 10 for 10. I had to add more and still pay for those. This location is money hungry for holiday items will never be going back. Also treat the people selling you stuff rude a lady asked a question and was given a snippy remark. read more

I called to ask if they would take certain items and was told yes. What they didn't tell me during the phone call was that I was limited to only a certain amount of items/boxes. I left some and took the rest home. When I checked on my items after the two week time frame, I was told that the items were too old. They only take toys that are ten years old or younger. I picked up my items, but won't be taking anything back there. They should be more clear over the phone and during drop off. read more

The prices of clothing and toys are pretty high for a second hand shop. Baby shoes were $25 and up with stains and discoloration. This kitchen set was priced at $150! I'm pretty sure the retail price isn't even that high plus you can find the same one on Facebook marketplace place for less than half the price. I'm better off at Ross, Burlington or TJmaxx and buying something brand new! The service wasn't the best either... nobody greets you when you walk in and it just feels uninviting. read more

I've never been to a Once Upon a Child before so i'm not sure if it was just this location or if it's all of them but i brought my clothes in a bag, not like a garbage bag but a brown paper bag they were all folded and everything and they turned me away at the door saying they don't accept clothes in bags they need to be in bins. The lady then said something about bringing them back in a week but i drove 30 mins and wasn't about to waste my time again so i dumped them at a goodwill on the way home. I am unfamiliar with how this place works - it was my first time. The lady at the front was extremely rude and condescending. I didn't understand the process & instead of explaining it - she basically treated me like a 3 year old. I was going to bring things in so she could go through what I had - I guess they don't accept a lot of things. As I was going to get my things I changed my mind and left. First time here and kind of disappointing. I was trying to unload some baby stuff my youngest has grown out of and they won't accept anything that is in a bag. They expect things to be in a container. There is no mention of this on their website just a hand written note on the store door. I have never been treated this rudely by an employee. I went in on 8/17/22 to drop of 4 bins of clothing and shoes. Items that I spent HOURS washing, folding, separating, pairing together to make it easier for whomever would be tasked to go through it. I went on their site to see if there were any particular rules about what they accepted, the process, etc. (there was VERY little -- only the large categories for which they buy). I entered the store and a tallish woman with straight brown hair in an orange t-shirt wearing knee pads states, "You CAN'T bring in overflowing bins." No greeting, no THANK YOU for bringing in things for which we will GIVE YOU PENNIES on the dollar while we mark them up 100-200%. No gratitude. I was so shocked I didn't say anything other than, "I have 3 other bins to get from my car." The same woman says, "Well I hope one of them has some space in them or you will have to take some clothes back with you." I explained to her that I hadn't sold here before and therefore wasn't aware of the rules. She then began to rapid-fire: "You bring them in. We review them. You give us 3-5 days to review and we expect you to come and pick up the bins the day we call you....which of these will you be taking back with you?" She went on, "Everyone is here doing the same thing as you....back to school and all." Her communication was harsh, matter of fact, and terse. Again, never once did she express gratitude that I brought my neatly folded and clean, not to mention brand named, items in. I placed a review on FaceBook and the next day got a call from James at the store stating I needed to come and pick up my items. He said he didn't know the details, but the owners thought it was best. So, the owners, instead of trying to resolve the problem, offer me an apology asked me to come and get my items (without reviewing them to determine if they wanted to buy any). I said, "If this is how the owners are choosing to deal with this, than I wish them well. It's now how I run any of my businesses." I couldn't believe it. I will never be spending any money in this store again and I have three kids. Never again. read more

My first time coming here was very nice. A small greeting at the door when I came in. I shopped for a longer time with my husband (like an hour/hour and a half) and was only asked once or twice if i needed help, but I let them know I was just looking my baby isn't here yet but will be here soon and got into a light conversation. She walked away so my husband and I could continue shopping and thanked us for coming in since it was our first time. The store was really neat and organized down to the clothes of the same size and color were all together. It made looking very easy and finding the sales they had easier as well. When we got to the register finally and she told us about the store, how they get their items, rules for donating, rewards all that good stuff. She was very nice and excited for us which was a very nice experience. I wish I remembered her name so I could give her a shout out! Highly recommend this location. This store is very unorganized in the baby girl department. I was looking through what I thought was 3-6 months but it was all mixed up with newborn and 0-3. I couldn't even find 6-9 months! I also dropped up some clothes of my sons and you really don't get much selling to them. They took 24 items and received $25. It's more than I would get donating but not as much as local consignment shops in the area read more

This place has gotten a little rugged over the years. It's becoming a little dirty and unorganized. The bathroom the public uses is never cleaned. The prices have gotten a little steep for the same quality as before. And no longer do they have the punch hole coupons they have points which you can never use on the day you actually gain them. read more

I've had no issues while ever shopping here. I needed an extra Bobby pillow for my mom's house and they had one at a reasonable price and it was clean. I needed one of those activity walkers for my daughter and they had dozens to pick from. CHEAP! I've bought so many outfits and sleepers here. The only thing I don't like is how tight the aisles are. A little difficult to navigate when the store is crowded. I have never sold items here so cannot speak to that experience. read more

I wish I could give this store a higher rating, I really do. Overall, I'm a big fan of Once Upon a Child stores, but they vary greatly from one location to the next. This location didn't meet my expectations, unfortunately. Let's start with the positives from my recent visit. The employees were very friendly and professional. I found a couple of cute outfits for an upcoming trip to Disney World that cost waaaaay less than they would at the mall. They also offered a wide variety of items, including all types of clothes, shoes, toys, and books. But our experience definitely had some room for improvement. First of all, be prepared to wait if you're planning on selling something. We wanted to sell a couple of boxes of items but were told it wouldn't be processed until the next day. That's pretty inconvenient for the seller. Perhaps they need to hire on a couple of other workers? This seems to be a common issue at several OUACs. Also, we went there looking specifically to buy boy's sweatpants. They seemed to be clearing out for summer inventory but we still have a good two months of sweatpants weather ahead! They had approximately 10-15 pairs of pants in my son's size, most of which were black dress pants. I found one pair of pants I liked until I saw a large hole in the knee and they were marked at $7.50! I also wanted to buy a pair of jeans for my son's upcoming concert but the one nice pair they had in his size were $12.50. Maybe I'm cheap, but that seems pricey for a pair of used jeans. One final gripe: the shoes needed some major resorting by size. In looking in the size 10 bin, I found at least five pairs of shoes that belonged elsewhere. I found myself helping to reorganize their shelves rather than shopping. read more

Been very happy with all three transactions I've had so far here. Bought a single umbrella stroller for 6$, I was in a huge hurry and the lady was a HUGE help. Second time I bought a double umbrella stroller for 40$ a second lady was just as helpful. The prices are nice for second hand. Nothing is gross or dirty. Prices are right. Very good collection for buyers. This store has larger space compared to one in hardwood heights. They had hugh collection of strollers, swings, bouncer etc. We found very good deals in general. Great selection for girls and boys clothes upto size 16. Good inventory of shoes, toys, books, DVDs. Clean aisle shopping. Well organized. Staff will leave you alone while you shop. And is quickly available to help you find anything. Pricing is fairly reasonable $3-$10 clothing. Going on a sale day is best. I occasionally found clearance $1 clothes. I dropped off items to sell, need to pick up unsold items 24hrs after receiving phone call. Sold 31 items of clothes, toys, and shoes for $57. Rejected 20+ items probably too outdated, old, or worn out. Didn't get much but allowed me to shop for some clothes and stuff. Staff is busy sorting items dropped off by customers. But will stop to ring up items when you're ready to check out. read more

I struggle to buy new clothes for my infant son due to him only fitting in them for a few months, at most. I love this place since I can find current clothes for more than half what I'd pay in department stores brand new. Also, if you think it's "too used" then don't buy it!
