Such a cute spot! I haven't gone thrifting in so long so I took one weekend afternoon to visit a few local spots around the city and Once Upon a Child was on the list. Located in a huge plaza, parking was a breeze, even on a Saturday. When I entered, I was greeted by the two young ladies behind the counter and started looking around. It's not the biggest place and it's a bittt cramped, but it's incredibly organized. There are racks and racks of clothes for littles, a toy section, a section including bigger items such a car seats and bassinets, and more. The selection was incredible. There were a number of sales happening, and even a rack of $1 onesies but pricing beyond that could have been a wee bit lower, but what I saw was great quality. I ended up leaving with only a few items that were in great condition but I'd definitely return. read more

Exterior Lots of free parking. Interior Clean and well organized. Customer Service Great. I was greeted upon entering the store. Within a few moments, the store associate asked if they could help me find anything in particular. I explained that I was looking for a wooden baby gym with play mat. They didn't have it, but they assured me that they get them in all the time and to feel free to call before driving in. I've called a few time since then and each time, the person answering the phone is very pleasant, places me on a brief hold, then comes back on the line to let me know they don't have it (while offering alternatives - lol). Value / Pricing I think the prices were fair (on the items I saw - but I didn't do a whole lot of browsing since I was looking for a specific item.) Overall Overall, I had a great experience and I'll be sure to stop back in the next time I'm looking for an affordable baby item. read more

My daughter and I went to sell some of her old clothes and was met with wonderful service from 2 young ladies at the front. It only took them a short wait time to go through the clothes and give me pricing for them, which is very unlike the other locations I've been to. As they went through the clothing items, my baby was offered a sweet treat and we browsed through what the store had on hand at the time. To my surprise, there were a large quantity of diapers which I love- maybe it's bc they just got a large shipment of them but I've never seen a once upon a child have so many packs in stock. I love that they have second Saturday story hour now where they read books and enjoy milk and cookies with all the babies. This is definitely my new go to location! read more

I was just in this store. There were six employees behind the counter; only two appeared to be working. The rest were having a grand time visiting, and talking very loudly. Meanwhile, the racks are completely messed up, with sizes all mixed together. I was shopping in the 3T girls section, and found everything from 18 months to size 5. Maybe if the employees actually did their job, it would be a more pleasant shopping experience. The owner has been trying to sell this store for months, due to retirement. I wish her luck. read more

The service is terrible!!! Ran by rude people with a nasty attitude. called to speak to a manager was told to leave my name and number, because she was busy. So I did, and never received a response. So just like anyone I called again and the lady had a nasty attitude from the beginning of the the conversation. She stated the manager wasn't there ( When is she there then?). I asked what I was supposed to do bc something needed to be done before Friday morning so I didn't waste my time, it's Thursday today. She then with nasty attitude told me again to leave my name and number and she would get back to me whenever she could. I stated I couldn't wait and to just not worry about it. And then hangs up when I tried to speak. they will just have one less employee!!! the service ain't no better been in there and the manager had a nasty attitude just like her employee. read more

The owner gave me a $5 coupon and when I can back to use it she told me I couldn't use it because she didn't sign it even after one of the employees confirmed she indeed gave me the coupon. Definitely won't be coming back to this location read more

I almost never post reviews, but my last 2 experiences here were so poor that I feel compelled. First the service is awful- customers are not acknowledged or really even spoken to. I recently took in multiple brand new school uniform items with tags (too late to return to Target) along with other high quality items worn maybe once. I was offered $6 for the whole lot. I declined and sold everything on marketplace for $40. I used to shop here when my child was an infant 6-7 years ago and the service and quality were light years better. I don't even browse anymore because the children's clothing items are not at all the quality they used to be. Will not be going back...Goodwill is a far better. read more

There were 2 work behind the counter and I was selling my baby clothes, but I only received 8 $ . some how my large bag of baby clothes could not fit in with there amount of baby clothes. Yet if you checked there was plenty of space for the baby clothes. There was a worker who didn't pay attention to any of us . She had a rude attitude towards us and barely spoke. When we were ready to leave , we asked why our baby clothes couldn't be bought. She told us " those clothes weren't bought because there wasn't...room for those clothes. Yeah that's it so leave. If you are having a child or have one that is younger than 12, this is your place! They sell recycled clothes for really low prices! If you come in during one of their sales you can buy ten items for $10. The place is well organized and tidy. It's a little cramped, but it's worth it for the deals. Shoes, accessories, clothes, high chairs, car seats, toys, etc.... all at amazing prices. Look here, look at Carters then thank me later. read more

I was trying to sell a ton of clothes here at this location and I called this location ahead of time and was told that I didn't need an appointment to sell clothes so I packed up my 2 kids, clothes and made it all the way to the store for the lazy employees to question if I called the correct location and that they stop buying back clothes at 445 and it was 440 when I walked in the door. If you don't want to do your job then go something else to do but don't accuse your customers of not knowing what they're talking about. I drove 45 minutes to get treated like I didn't know what I was talking about. I definitely will not be going back to this location. Poor customer service is an understatement. read more

I just brought 5 very large boxes of mostly name brand baby clothes to this location. On the first two boxes that I handed them they noticed that one of of pieces had 2 dog hairs on it. She says, "sir, do you have pets"? I was like yes what's wrong. She explained how they could not except the clothes despite the fact that 99% of the clothes in the box were in pristine condition and no hairs. It's 100% obvious that they are lazy and did not wish to go though the 1500 pieces of clothing we brought in. I even called ahead to them before bringing the clothes. I've bought clothes here before too, never again. DONT GO TO SEE THESE LAZY, BAD ATTITUDE WOMEN! read more

Terrible service. If you stop buying at 4:45 MAKE IT KNOWN. Came the next day had 3 boxes and struggled with my 1 year old in the stroller while holding the boxes none of the lazy employees offered to help instead just watched me struggle to multitask, also 3 boxes of clothes just to get back 12$ some of the clothes didn't even look as if it was touched, i DEFINITELY recommend once upon a child in the Kennesaw area very helpful, and with The most Positive attitude. read more

First let me start by saying that I have never, until today, had a problem with this store. I have spent hundreds of dollars here, and it's always been a pleasure buying and selling for my 4 children ages 9 through 6 months. Today when I brought in a large amount of size 8 boys clothes (which they never have) the woman in the front of the store said my clothes had cat hair on them and I needed to wash them. When I told her to show me the "hair" ( we don't even own a cat) she picked through my clothes like they had the plague on them, barely touching them, and using two fingers to pick through them. What she showed me looked to be stuffed animal hair ( and there were maybe two tiny strands, not even the length of a cm.) She then told me I needed to wash them. After she said this to me again, in the presence of other customers, I felt humiliated. I take pride in my appearance and that of my children so I knew they were clean. My husband and I took our clothes to the car, and went through each piece to inspect them. He took them back in this time, and another employee took them and told him to return in 20 minutes . When he returned they offered him $3 and some change for the full basket of clothing. They only took 3 shirts out of about 20. They also didn't take a pair of Jordan's (shoes) that we had previously purchased but turned out to be too small for my son. Never been worn since buying them. I will wait until the douglasville location opens, this experience left a very bad impression. I have referred so many mommies here and praised this store. Extremely disappointed! read more

I understand that this place gets backed up but they will do ANYTHING and find anything to not have to go through your clothes. Assuming because they do not want the work of having to sort, price, and put away the clothes. I brought two large bags of clothes mostly brand new items my son has never even worn just to get rid of them, next stop was goodwill. The employee found a dog hair on an item on top of the bag and said she wouldn't go through the rest of the bag because they were "not clean." I said okay and they continued to try and justify it. I'm not sure if they were trying to convince me or themselves to justify the act. Sad I lost 5 minutes of my time on this store. read more

Only clothing store, and once upon a child, I've ever seen that doesn't allow the clothing to be tried on.

This place is always a mess. I don't know why they don't have their clothing sorted in tops, bottoms, one pieces, jackets, dresses Etc. And you can hardly get through the aisles with a shopping cart or stroller because everything is so tightly packed in. Every other Once Upon a Child I've been to is so much more neatly organized. read more

I did NOT have a good experience at this location. They offer the bare minimum for the items that you attempt to sale and the quality of items in the store is very much sub-par. I had a large amount of items to sale, they offered very little for really quality items so I did not sell much to them. They also "kept" a Graco Swing that I did not want to sell because they gave me a very minimal monetary offer. Thereafter, they called and left a Voice message that I "forgot" the swing (they apparently had the swing behind the desk so I missed it when loading my car back up). When I checked their voice message (granted, just a few days later) I sent my spouse to the store to pick the swing up. They informed him that they DONATED it. I s/w the Manager and Owner and gave them the opportunity to "make it right" but they declined. In essence, these are very dishonest people and I feel very much taken advantage of. Take your business elsewhere. read more
