Great tutors, flexible approach and easy to work with! Raised my students SAT score by over 100 points!

On Track Learning has significantly helped my two teenage daughters improve in Algebra 1 and Algebra 2. We also use OTL for ACT prep for my Junior daughter. The program which consists of weekly homework, 1 on 1 time with a qualified instructor, positive reinforcement and proctored practice exams has resulted in a significant increase in her score. The practice exams have helped not only with timing but with demystifying the exam itself. I highly recommend. read more

My son Mason improved his ACT score 7 points after completing On Track Learning's Test Prep Program! Myself, my wife and Mason were very happy about his score increased on the ACT. A +7 point gain on this difficult test is impressive! Mason's hard work and dedication in the program definitely paid off. We were pleased with the individualized Plan of Action (poa) Mason received for his ACT test preparation timeline. The straightforward curriculum, as well as knowing Mason had a specific score target were a few reasons we decided to trust On Track Learning with Mason's academics. We really appreciated the help and guidance from On Track Learning coaches to help Mason increase his ACT score. We really appreciated the flexibility OTL showed during the time Mason was in the program. Mason has always been very active with extracurricular activities in and outside school. So oftentimes there were conflicts with activities and OTL sessions. OTL was very flexible to reschedule sessions for Mason so he could make it to every session and keep his progress on track. The homework mix and volume was perfect for a busy student athlete. Mason's hard work and effort definitely paid off and I do recommend OTL as a great program for students to take to help them improve their ACT scores. Thank you so much to the On Track Learning Team! read more

Very impressed with this tutoring company! We used them to help with the ACT test. The owner is very hands on and involved and really takes an interest in your students status. More importantly, the tutor we had, Micheal, was amazing! He was so like able and worked well with my daughter. There was a clear plan of attack from the start and he was very consistent and went above and beyond read more

The structured approach and friendly tutor were very helpful. It definitely helped my son on his ACT test prep. I wish we signed up earlier. read more

My son improved his ACT score 7 points working with Dan and his team. The tutor was extremely encouraging, well prepared and knew how to motivate my son (who can be difficult to motivate). The tutor catered to my son's particular strengths and weakness. They had him study the specific areas that he was lacking in to maximize his study time and not waste valuable time generically studying areas he was already strong in. The tutor was extremely flexible with my sons ever changing schedule and always happy to answer any questions we had along the way. I would definitely recommend OTL to all wanting to improve their ACT or SAT scores! read more

Dan and his team of talented tutors do an incredible job. My daughter was struggling with Algebra 1, so we signed her up for sessions once a week with Jack prior to finals at the end of 2019. He has made an incredible difference, giving her more confidence with test taking, and has helped bring her scores up significantly. We are extremely grateful to Jack for his help and expertise. As far as scheduling is concerned, Dan is very responsive and flexible. If we have needed to change the day or time of a session, he has gone out of his way to accommodate us. Due to COVID-19 we are continuing to tutor via Zoom, which is working well. I highly recommend On Track Learning. read more

We LOVE this place!!!! My two step sons were begging for help with math. I looked all over even getting a list of tutors from the high school. Driving to get my morning coffee one day I saw the sign for On Track Learning and decided to call them. I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad I did!! Dan is extremely helpful and accommodating and the tutors are awesome!! We have a somewhat complicated custody arrangement and Dan makes it so easy to schedule sessions for both kids, he's also in the 21st century and uses text which is very helpful. I know I will always get a prompt response! I've never known 13&14 year olds to want to go to tutoring but both boys love to go and often times ask for more sessions!! read more

On Track Learning is a fantastic place to learn. We've been sending both of our kids to On Track for over a year. We could not be happier. Every tutor we've worked with have been genuinely invested in our kids. We came to On Track before our son started first grade because he was changing schools and was sorely behind in his reading readiness. I was seriously worried that he'd be starting from a real deficit. After only a few weeks at On Track his tutor had him reading at grade level. He started the school year right where he should have been and a year later, he's above grade level in both reading and math. He's happy to go to his tutoring session, has fun, and learns so much. If you have a kid who's struggling, falling behind, or isn't challenged enough in class, this is the place. The environment at On Track is full of tutors (many teachers) and kids working diligently. It's a quiet, well lit, clean place for kids to really get to work. There's plenty of parking and scheduling is easy. read more

I normally do not post reviews. However, I was so impressed with Ontrack Learning and owner Dan Harrington, that I had to write. From the minute I made initial contact, to the physics tutor that came for my 9th grader, very impressive. Tutor was on time every time and my child's grade has gone up significantly in just one week. Appreciate that Dan confirms appointment via text prior to session. Getting back to the physics tutor: very knowledgeable, very professional and very impressive! I would highly recommend. read more

Our son started tutoring a few months ago and we are pleased with the results as well as the new confidence he has in his math skills. His tutor is patient, encouraging and very helpful. They work with our schedules and provide flexibility in scheduling. Dan is great and is very engaged with the families. It's nice to see such a caring business owner. We highly recommend OTL! read more

On Track learning has been a great solution to my son's ever changing sports schedule. I like the fact that I don't have to commit to weekly sessions and that I can call just a few days before my son needs help and Dan always makes it happen. My son is currently being tutored in Biology and his tutor knows exactly what he is doing at a High School level and went from a B to an A by the end of the semester. read more

My daughter was failing geometry, so I called On Track Learning. Dan called me back almost immediately and set up a time for her to have a tutoring session. The cost is reasonable and my daughter loves her tutor. They are very accommodating schedule-wise. I highly recommend them for your tutoring needs! read more

Our son took an SAT preparation course from On-Track Learning and improved his score by 110 points in a few weeks. This course and overall On-Track Learning business is very well organized and managed, making it easy for parents to schedule and for kids to complete assignments and stay on track. There are several options (duration and group size) available as well as SAT vs. ACT option. Highly recommended!!! read more

We have been using On Track Learning since last school year, our son is now a Junior in high school. Dan Harrington (the owner) is excellent. Extremely responsive, and understanding with our last minute schedule changes. Every tutor we have used through his company has been an excellent help for our son. We have used them for geometry, and now Algebra II/Trig. The tutors have even spent extra time with our son so that they can completely explain the concepts. Our son went from getting Cs on tests to As. They also offer SAT prep tutoring as well! It helped our son improve his scores substantially. From the first point of contact, to the weekly tutoring, it has been great. I would highly recommend this company. read more

Possibly the best value out there. My son increased his ACT score from a 23 to a 29. This is obviously a huge jump and became the difference that got him in to the college he hoped for. The program is efficient and laser focused on score increase, rather than wasting time on things you don't need. The results speak for themselves and we would recommend this to any student who wants to improve their score. read more

My daughter has been going to On Track Learning for once a week hour tutoring for the last two months. The accelerated math program in middle school skips over a lot of the basic math concepts and my daughter started to struggle last year while trying to learn these concepts online and on her own. We went to a weekly group tutoring session last year and though it was closer to our home, she still struggled. This year, we decided to go with a one on one tutoring session to truly cater to her needs. She has found her sessions at On Track Learning with her tutor extremely helpful. Her tutor seems to explain concepts in a way that she is able to better comprehend them. In addition, Dan, the owner is easy to work with and is super accommodating with our scheduling needs. read more

We have had a great experience with OTL! Our daughter has been seeing Vivian for help with Algebra 2 and her grade has greatly improved! Dan is extremely professional and accommodating. I would give this negative stars. Please beware of this program - we have found it to be a total scam. Every single thing they told us is a lie. First - Dan, Mike and their team told our daughter the universities she was looking at required ACT scores 2-3 points higher than their websites indicate. Secondly, they assessed our daughter and said based on her assessment she should focus on the ACT not the SAT because she performed so well in science. Actually science brought her score down on every proctored exam AND official ACT. We entered into the program because they said after their assessment she would get a 29 on the September exam. Two weeks before the exam they said they made a mistake and her goal was a 26 not a 29 despite the fact that we spent over 5 thousand dollars in tutoring & the schools she is interested in according to them require a minimum if 29. They said she has no shot at a 29 after taking more than our 5000 dollars for tutoring. We asked about their guarantee as our daughter only improved by one point from her initial assessment and they said their guarantee wasn't for Actual exams - it was for their own proctored exams which they grade themselves. They failed in every way. They lied, they overcharged us - by changing the fees from what we agreed to in June (133 per session) to 200 per session. They assured us from the beginning that when their students go into the exams they know exactly what they will get - and there are no surprises. Our daughter performed 4 points below what they said she'd get on the exam. Again after 20 hours and 5000 dollars investment. Do NOT trust them. They are a scam. Dan has posted in response to this. This is not a smear campaign I am simply telling the truth. We were told the goal was 29 then two weeks before the exam the goal was changed to 26 with Dan saying they made a mistake. The original quote was 133 per session which changed to 200. The only uptick in scores Dan guarantees are his own proctored exams not official exams. I have no reason to say anything that isn't true - I've already lost my 5000 dollars and switched tutors. I'm hoping no one else falls for the scam. The new tutors said my daughter hadn't even learned most of the math yet and there was no way a program could have taught her enough to get the score Dan guaranteed. read more

On Track Learning has been an excellent resource for our daughter for over a year. When my daughter was in a panic over Pre-Calculus, Dan came through. We had a HS teacher that was difficult for my daughter to understand. She was distraught and frustrated. Dan worked with us to find the right Tutor and my daughter quickly turned around - grasping the concepts and improving her grade from a C to an A. A relief for her. In addition, Dan has always been flexible with scheduling. Dan is always responsive and professional. What a great local resource for our community to have available. read more

We used On Track Learning and specifically Michael to tutor our son for the ACT test. We could not be more pleased with the results. Michael tutored our son every Sunday at our home for a few months and his ACT score improved from 26 to 35 - just phenomenal. Michael was always professional, courteous and genuinely caring. We highly recommend Michael and On Track Learning for ACT prep. read more

My son is in 5th grade and was overwhelmed with the amount of homework he has. He struggles in some subjects (mostly math) so I decided to get him some extra help couple days a week instead of being pulled out of class during the day at school. The individualized attention he gets from his tutor at On track is worth the extra money you pay. He finishes his homework in an hour where at home it would take him double the time! They are very accommodating to our schedule and most importantly my son loves going! His math skills are improving and my piece of mind is getting better too! Im so happy a place like this exists in our neighborhood. read more

My two sons Isaac and Henry have used On Track Learning over the years, off and on, for help with math. Every tutor has been excellent! Our current tutor Sam is amazing! Working with Sam has given them a better understanding of math beyond just rote memorization of formulas. Dan, the owner is great at communicating, flexible, and really works with your schedule. I highly recommend On Track Learning! read more

How can I start to explain what an incredible 3/4 months of tutoring with On Track has been. Our family moves twice a year to live in two different states for my husbands job. If you can imagine, it is hard for our oldest daughter to catch up where she leaves off during every move. We were actively trying to get our daughter into a new school in Arizona, after our current one closed. In order to get into the new school our daughter had to take the AABL test. She did not pass. And she could not attend her dream school. My daughter was trying to get into first grade, so I really wasn't aware that she could be that behind. Putting my ego aside, I needed help to get her up to speed. The owner Dan was such a pleasure to work with! He was so kind to my daughter, and our whole family. He is always polite and profesional. He would do anything to make something work. I emailed him less then 20 hours before I needed a session, and he made it happen! I truly feel he did this because he genuinely cares about the children that walk through those doors. Our daughter needed a lot of help with her math, her handwriting, and most of all her reading. She saw that most of her classmates were reading, and it was making her insecure and unconfident that she couldn't. The summer with Dan and his tutors brought an insecure 6 year old that couldn't read into a confident 6 year old that now reads to me and her younger sister nightly. The first time she read to me I had tears running down my face. Her math skills have doubled. And her handwriting, which I could not recognize before the summer, actually looks like well thought out sentences! To top all of these amazing accomplishes off, my daughter retook the test, got better scores in every area. Her verbal recognition went from a 13% to a 95%. The principal actually asked if she cheated the scores were so different. So no, she did not cheat, she worked her butt off with the best, supportive tutors Dan could find and she got into her dream school. I try to recommend On Track to everyone I meet, to the point where it is probably annoying. But I really believe in what Dans doing for our youth. Let's give our youth the tools they need to succeed. I can't wait to report back to him on what an amazing school year it will be for my daughter this year, all thanks to him! Thank you so much Dan for making learning fun and engaging for Hartley. read more

Sadly I've had to change my 5 star review for On Track Learning to a 1 star. This review is for the owner Dan and if I could give him lower than a 1 star it couldn't be low enough. After using his services for the last 4 years and paying him thousands of dollars, he acted in such a rude and unprofessional way last Sunday that I was literally shocked by his behavior. I'm sure he'll want to reply to this with some excuse or story but there is absolutely no excuse. I contacted Dan on Friday to see if one of his tutors could work with my daughter On ELM review for 2 hours during the week. His first question was "What's ELM?" I shared what it was but said that I wanted someone that was very experienced with ELM tutoring and that it was fine if he didn't have someone because I knew of someone else. He got back to me that his tutor had looked at the material and was confident he could tutor her on it. He asked if she had study materials and I told him she DID NOT and that the tutor would need to be very familiar with the subject matter. Just to be sure I sent him a snapshot of CSU Math Success: Exam Prep and asked, "Will (x-tutor) have these resources/practice questions to work with?" He answered "Yes. Are we confirmed for tomorrow?" We booked for Sunday because that was the only time that the tutor had available (not because we needed it that soon). My daughter called me from the session asking for the login information for the Online tutorial for ELM. I told her that I didn't pay for an online tutoring class because she was getting live tutoring and Dan said they had the materials needed. Her tutor said not to worry and that they'd figure it out. I texted Dan to let him know and reminded him that I'd confirmed with him that he had the study materials because my daughter did not have any. He then texted me that the practice questions were online and that I needed to sign up to get all of them. WHAT? I texted back that I never signed her up for online tutoring because I was paying him for his tutoring services and he said they had all the materials. At this point we are just dealing with a misunderstanding. No big deal. I'm a little annoyed because I know that the session that I'm paying $85 per hour for isn't going to be as productive as it should be and I'm wondering why Dan said he had all the study materials when he clearly didn't. Here's where it goes from bad to a lot worse: Dan called me and said, "I think we need to end this session now." It totally caught me off guard. He then proceeded to tell me that I had my daughter show up unprepared, that I knew that she needed to have access to the website, that I called him last minute looking for a session for the next day, and then proceeded to tell me that I was "full of demands". He went on and on with his insults and accusations as I'm standing inside Home Goods, with my daughter standing next to me looking at me in total disbelief with how he's talking to me. This went on for over 5 minutes as I kept telling him to go back and read our text messages and he'd see that 'd told him that my daughter DID NOT have any study materials and that I had no idea that he wanted me to pay $50 to provide the practice questions. He told me, "You knew!" and that it was my responsibility to provide the practice test questions. What?! I reminded him it was exactly what I'd asked if he'd provide. I realized that he had no intention of backing up, reading the texts and apologizing. I told him I couldn't believe how rude he told me I was the one being rude. I then told him that I agreed, the session was over. I called my daughter and told her and the tutor what happened. The tutor apologized. I then sent the tutor and Dan screenshots of the text messages as proof since Dan was blaming me for ending the session. This phone call was so unbelievably rude and unprofessional I was in shock for about 10 minutes after. It is NEVER acceptable to speak to a paying customer in this way and it was completely out of line for him to talk to me as though I was a bad mother, when HE was the one responsible. If this hadn't actually happened to me, I'd have a hard time believing it. But it did and I regret ever giving On Track Learning a positive Yelp review, recommending it to other parents, and ever giving Dan a penny. I would never recommend this business and will warn everyone I know to LOOK ELSEWHERE. read more

As a teacher myself, I am always impressed when anyone who works with my children goes the extra mile on their behalf. On Track Learning did that for my son as he worked his way through SAT prep this fall. We started with an interview in the summer and Joan and Dan who laid out various plans, from individual classes to small group situations. They also talked with us about score ranges for the schools my son was interested in. There was never any pressure to sign up, just the guarantee that if our son followed the plan and finished his homework weekly, he was guaranteed a certain level of improvement. We enrolled our son for 12 weeks and he made the gains they promised, but after seeing the improvement in 12 weeks, he wanted to see if he could get his score even higher! He asked to enroll in another round of classes, but felt he was having trouble with concentration. We reached out to Joan, who was incredibly responsive. She researched, then talked through some strategies with our son in addition to the classes. It worked!! He took the test a second time and surpassed our expectations gaining 230 points! I was so impressed with their commitment and dedication to our son's success. They addressed both his educational needs, but also his concern about test focus, which he felt strongly was holding him back. With a daughter who will be starting SAT prep this summer, I am confident that On Track Learning will deliver the same incredible results! If you work with On Track Learning you will not be disappointed! read more

I strongly recommend the OTL Team for test prep tutoring. My daughter's first SAT score was not as high as she wanted. We looked at a few options for test prep tutoring, but we were really impressed with the program at OTL. We had heard of OTL from friends who loved it and decided to enroll. My daughter attended semi-private sessions weekly for about 15 weeks. In addition, OTL scheduled my daughter to take SAT practice tests throughout the program to monitor her progress. When she took the SAT for the second time, she increased her SAT score by 70 points. As a courtesy, at no additional charge, she continued with OTL for about 4 more weeks and then took the SAT again. Between the in-person help from Vaughn and video conferences with Joan, our daughter was able to increase her SAT score by a total of 180 points. Dan and his team are very organized, extremely supportive, and helpful. read more

Terrific value and results! My daughter, who is currently a high school senior, has great grades but needed an equally great SAT score to get into some pretty competitive universities. After initially scoring a 1260 on her practice test, we met with Dan and team. OnTrack came up with a plan to help my daughter achieve an appropriate target score for the colleges on her list. The test preparation consisted of weekly focused homework with student accountability, feedback, and instruction as well as regular practice tests taken under exam conditions. Aman, Makena, and Greg were great to work with - smart, friendly, efficient, flexible. OnTrack even accommodated my daughter while she studied abroad this summer by arranging for private Skype test preparation sessions and remote practice testing. Happily, she achieved a score of 1520 and has already been accepted to some of her top choices with scholarship money. My daughter couldn't have done it without OnTrack and their wonderful staff - thank you for the prep and all the support! read more
