East Bay Prep was worth the time, effort and money! My son took the SAT prep class and improved his score by 120. He will be attending Santa Clara University this fall. In my opinion, Easy Bay Prep is the best SAT Prep Class in the area. Their team is very organized and knowledgeable. With my son's rigorous class and sports schedule, East Bay Prep was very accommodating and flexible. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for some extra support and prep for SAT/ACT exams. THANK YOU East Bay Prep!

    Started Prep January 2019, Finished April 2019. Score:33 (English 35, Reading 34, Math 30, Science 34)

I do not know what I would have done without East Bay Prep. This is by far the Best Act Prep Class. On my first practice ACT, I had gotten a 26. Four months later, on my real ACT, my score had gone up to a 33, which was way better than I could have imagined. Going every other Sunday morning for four months was actually enjoyable because the team was so nice and approachable. They really helped me with questions that I did not understand and gave me test strategies that helped me tremendously on the actual ACT. I highly recommend using Test Preparation from East Bay Prep!!

My daughters attended East Bay Prep together, Maddalena in preparation for ACT, Ariel in preparation for SAT. Both found their teams patient, thorough, and extremely knowledgeable. The proof came on test day, as Maddalena raised her score by seven points, and Ariel lifted hers by 140. We would recommend East Bay Prep to everyone planning to take the ACT, SAT or both. East Bay Prep is up to date on test trends, and is frankly the best business of its kind. If you want to maximize your test scores, contact East Bay Prep.

Can't say enough about this program, we just received the results of my child's December ACT test and her score went up 4 points from her first try to a score of 35. We are absolutely thrilled. The East Bay Prep approach really works! The students attend a prep class one day a week and then also take practice ACT tests every 3 weeks or so. The repetition and training the students receive from the East Bay Prep staff during the prep classes is targeted and individualized to your student, focusing on the problems they struggle to give them the tools needed to be successful. The other thing we really appreciated was the flexibility of the program, she could start her individualized program at a time that worked for us, we didn't have to wait for another session to start. If you are looking for a program that is individual and specialized, at a reasonable cost, in a flexible environment with true professionals, I'd highly recommend East Bay Prep.

I changed my score from a 25 to 34! Perfect score in English and Science!

Both of us have been quite happy with the tutors and staff at Alpha. Academically, my son has raised his gpa, test scores and equally important, learned the subject matter. The tutors understand how to work with teenagers and my son feels more confident in the subject areas after his tutoring sessions. Lastly, their rates are reasonable and hours are flexible to suit the needs of students. We've been to other tutoring centers in Berkeley and El Cerrito, but none of them has produced as great a result as Alpha.

I worked with Jennifer, who was absolutely wonderful, and she managed to help me write my college apps that got me into top universities like UC Berkeley, Northeastern, and UCLA. With this, I also got scholarships from other universities I applied to and had an overall amazing college application experience. She helped me facilitate and better explain my ideas on paper which helped a lot. Also, before the SATs got cancelled, I used the Alpha College Prep to mainly help with the math portion of the SAT and after the first session my score improved by 50 points. I would recommend Alpha College Prep for students who are looking for some guidance during the college admission process or looking for overall tutoring in any area. I will be a freshman at UC Berkeley this fall and thank Alpha College Prep for helping me write and formulate strong essays as I couldn't have done it without them.

I have two girls, who benefitted greatly over the years from their services. From middle school work to college level courses (they even helped my daughter who attended Cal Berkeley with her Business Statistics Course and my other daughter's Chemistry Course through San Diego State) Lafayette Academy had the appropriate staff on hand to assist with all of their needs. Their success can be attributed to the owners. The owner Mark B. with whom I conversed with regularly, is involved in his business and takes great care to ensure his clients are provided with excellent service. He and his staff are responsive and always have found the right fit for our daughters to ensure their academic success. I highly recommend Lafayette Academy! Simply put..they are the best! Aimee P. Guess what, the Director of Lanies Learning and the school associated didn't really care about my kid learning Math. Even though it was a bit sketchy how they charged me more because I won a district settlement and charged me the "district rate" vs. the cheaper family rate, although both come with the same work involved. I questioned that at our final meeting. So here I come on the first day all the way from Piedmont to Concord, and I barely get a "hello" and no official introduction to anyone or condolences. I had to ask for a little sit down before my kid went the tutor. Then when I picked him up, I peaked at where she was having the tutoring of multi-sensory tutoring, and he was on the floor w/ many desks all around him, squished. When I brought this up to the Director in an email. She was so offended, she tore up my check she said and would give me that lesson for free. She apparently didn't like me questioning what I saw or what I expected from a "round up" after a first session. I was so excited too, but it seemed it was about conforming and not asking too many questions, than really helping my child. We since got a very amazing tutor who is amazing and trained in the exactly what he needed. I was saddened that the Director of this center and the Core Academy that it is associated with would treat a widow this way. So disappointed that they acted in such a way, after they accepted my kid, then said "he wasn't a good fit," after I had a few questions about the first session. Then to make matters worse, they let him go and tore up my check as they let me know in an email. How cruel. I really hope they don't respond, but it did happen and nothing they say, will make it ok. accept an apology.
