My son is a graduating high school senior that has good grades, participates in sports year round and worked part time during the summers throughout high school. We needed to make sure he received a good enough ACT score to give myself the best chance of getting into the universities that I was targeting. After visiting with another costly national test prep center, I learned of On Track Learning through a poster at Las Lomas High School. I contacted them and was very pleased with the plan and cost they suggested to help our son. I also appreciated the customized plan that they put together to work on what he needed for improvement. With the amazing help from On Track Learning coaches Michael and Joan, our son was able to increase his ACT score by 5 points after 5 small group sessions for the first test during the Spring of his Junior year and then another 6 points after 4 additional private sessions for the second test in the Fall of his Senior year. My advice to other parents would be to start this process much earlier during Junior year of high school so you have the score that you need by the time college applications need to be filled out during the Fall of Senior year. Michael tutored my son for the ACT. Michael is a fantastic tutor. He created a detailed and personalized tutoring plan for my son. More importantly, he checked in regularly with him to make sure he was on track. He was encouraging and really raised his confidence throughout the process, which is the most important factor in taking standardized test. Michael kept me in the loop on progress by email and phone calls. We were really pleased with the results. He reached the high end of his goal. I researched two other ACT tutoring companies and when I sat down with Michael and they explained their methodology, I knew it was the right place. I knew sophomore year was going to be tough for my daughter. Math and science are not really her subjects, so I was a bit concerned with Geometry and Chemistry! She started off well, but gradually her test grades started falling...along with her grades. I had seen On Track Learning and decided to give them a call. Dan quickly set up my daughter with Vivian (it was getting close to finals and we needed the help fast!). Vivian worked with my daughter 2 nights a week to bring both her grades up from a C to a B-. My review is long overdue! Hiring On Track Learning to tutor my son for ACT Prep was one of the best decisions ever. My son's score increased 7 points from the practice test to the first real test! I can't say enough wonderful things about Michael Bruns. His one-on-one, hands-on method of tutoring made it possible for my son to apply to a wider range of colleges. Colleges that clearly were not on his radar prior to Michael's tutoring. Michael is a tutor who genuinely cares about his students and their academic success. Michael began customizing a tutoring plan for my son at our very first meeting. He always kept me apprised of my son's progress, was always accessible to both me and my son, and was flexible when it came to my son's demanding baseball schedule. do not take your kids here. stay away!!!! the owner is an unethical business man who charges people different prices. he only cares about making money. he "advised" that my son take on extra tutoring lessons; however, when i checked with my son's teacher she said that he was doing completely fine and did not need tutoring. i do not trust dan the owner bc he cares more about making his wallet fatter than the education of our young ones. do not let him fool you. unethical business owners should not be doing business in our cities, in our schools, or with the future minds of this country. dan harrington is a liar. he is not a fair and honest man. and i know this for a fact since he does not keep his prices consistent with anyone and his tutoring staff continuously changes since no one wants to be working with a con artist. do not take your kids here! read more

Over the course of the last two years, both our sons received tutoring in math and/or physics at On Track Learning. Each times, we were very happy with the quality of the tutors and the results our sons obtained. One of our sons completely Trigonometry and Pre-Calculus with them over the summer and took a placement test at Diablo Community College. He placed exactly where we wanted him to be to start Calculus. Dan, the director, is very friendly and quick to respond. It was easy and fast to schedule appointments. More recently, my son started the SAT prep with Michael. So far we are extremely pleased. The program is very well organized and Michael is an excellent tutor. My son struggled in Honor's Chemistry class last year so I searched Internet found On Track Learning center.. Dan, who runs this learning center, recommended Will, a tutor.. After having tutoring sessions with Will, my son's grade went up so my son continually met him until the end of school year. We met several tutors before On Track Learning center but they couldn't really help my son out except one tutor who was always busy. My son told me that Will always explained problems until my son understand very easy and clearly, and sometimes Will taught him more than one hour without any extra charge. My son was having trouble with math, and it was leading to battles at home. After a conference with his teacher, she recommended On Track Learning, and I'm so grateful she did. Two months later we see the difference that they have made! My son is more confident with math, and seems to have gained skills to help him focus better, too. (Fewer battles at home and higher test scores are some of the wonderful side effects!) Dan strives to understand the issues your child is experiencing, so that he can match them with the right tutor. The tutor my son works with is a teacher, so she understands different ways to get through to him, and also knows what will be coming with Common Core. Our daughter started with On Track Learning during her Junior year for ACT preparation. Initially she started in the semi-private courses which worked well for keeping her on track with the prep curriculum. During the March SIP, OTL was extremely flexible with transitioning her to private tutoring as she was determined to continue to improve her score. Her tutors were very easy to schedule and gave her good advice for where to focus her studying based on the outcomes of her ACT prep tests. Test scores have never been my son's strength. He will be graduating Spring 2020 and currently has a 4.53 GPA, has earned his Eagle Scout, and played both Varsity and Club Soccer. I took my, then, second grader to Dan. He was in a split class with 3rd graders and was lacking confidence in math and felt he was falling behind the other kids. Dan quickly took him under his wing and we saw almost immediate results. By the time he reached third grade he was top of the class, and that is where he stay throughout third and fourth grade. Truly excellent tutoring center! My 14 year old son has used other tutors in the past, but none have "clicked" for him like the team at On Track. Dan is very professional, responds to communications promptly, and has been flexible in our scheduling in order to accommodate changing athletic schedules.
