My highschool son started working with tutors at On Track in the summer of 2020 (between his 9th and 10th grade years). My son, always a good student, took a nose dive during the spring 2020 distance learning period. We needed to right size the ship and get him a head start for his sophomore year. During the summer Nate took an online geometry class (which he would take again at school in the fall) and although tutors were provided through that program, we supplemented with an On Track Learning tutor in the areas where my son was having a very difficult time grasping the concepts. Nate found the On Track tutors better than the online program ones because they were able to help him comprehend the concepts better. Later in the summer, I realized that Nate's writing skills were average at best. I contacted Dan and he found a writing tutor who Nate has been working with on a weekly basis since August (Including on school breaks at Nate's request). In add'n to helping Nate with essays and written assignments for his English class, this tutor also works with Nate on improving his writing skills outside of the class assignments. The tutor has been very creative, getting to know Nate and what interests Nate...and then giving Nate writing assignments in those areas. In late Nov, I contacted Dan with a concern that Nate really did not know how to prepare and study for finals. Dan found a tutor to work with Nate to develop a plan for studying for his finals based on his current grades and with what Nate was hoping to end the semester. That proved to be extremely effective. Nate did incredibly well on his finals and actually beat the GPA he was aiming for. The finals prep tutor was also a geometry tutor and we hired him for two sessions to help Nate prepare for his final since geometry is a challenge for Nate. What I like most about On Track is how Dan is able to respond the the changing needs of the student and provide ongoing or surgical help depending on the student and the issue. Given Nate's success in the fall of 2020 semester, we will continue to work with multiple tutors at On Track, ongoing and surgically, and we will also use On Track when we get to ACT and SAT prep. read more

My son is a graduating high school senior that has good grades, participates in sports year round and worked part time during the summers throughout high school. We needed to make sure he received a good enough ACT score to give myself the best chance of getting into the universities that I was targeting. After visiting with another costly national test prep center, I learned of On Track Learning through a poster at Las Lomas High School. I contacted them and was very pleased with the plan and cost they suggested to help our son. I also appreciated the customized plan that they put together to work on what he needed for improvement. With the amazing help from On Track Learning coaches Michael and Joan, our son was able to increase his ACT score by 5 points after 5 small group sessions for the first test during the Spring of his Junior year and then another 6 points after 4 additional private sessions for the second test in the Fall of his Senior year. My advice to other parents would be to start this process much earlier during Junior year of high school so you have the score that you need by the time college applications need to be filled out during the Fall of Senior year. Thank you so much to the On Track Learning Team! read more

I'd like to give a shout-out to Dan Harrington and his staff at On-Track Learning, an academic tutoring center that made a difference in our lives this past year. Remote learning was immeasurably stressful for students and teachers alike. For my freshman in high school, learning algebra was a super-challenge. Having been a teacher/tutor long ago, myself (in a different subject!), I knew what I was looking for in the way of help: I was looking for professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, effective instruction from a tutor who could truly connect with my teenager. I found all of that with Dan and his team. Even virtually, my high schooler was able to benefit from the one-on-one time, twice a week, to gain the understanding and confidence that raised her grade on her final exam by 3 grade levels. I credit Dan and his staff as much as my teen's will to turn things around for this success. I highly recommend Dan and On Track Learning! https://www.ontracklearning.net/ read more

Michael tutored my son for the ACT. Michael is a fantastic tutor. He created a detailed and personalized tutoring plan for my son. More importantly, he checked in regularly with him to make sure he was on track. He was encouraging and really raised his confidence throughout the process, which is the most important factor in taking standardized test. Michael kept me in the loop on progress by email and phone calls. We were really pleased with the results. He reached the high end of his goal. I researched two other ACT tutoring companies and when I sat down with Michael and they explained their methodology, I knew it was the right place. As a result, we also now use their math tutoring services. The calculus tutor has been really helpful, and Dan was able to find someone right away. As anyone knows - when you realize your child needs a tutor...you want to start right away, and both times, Dan was able to find the right tutor quickly. read more

I knew sophomore year was going to be tough for my daughter. Math and science are not really her subjects, so I was a bit concerned with Geometry and Chemistry! She started off well, but gradually her test grades started falling...along with her grades. I had seen On Track Learning and decided to give them a call. Dan quickly set up my daughter with Vivian (it was getting close to finals and we needed the help fast!). Vivian worked with my daughter 2 nights a week to bring both her grades up from a C to a B-. We continued with Vivian one night a week during second semester and it was like a lightbulb went on in my daughters head. She started understanding the subject matter more and scored much better on her tests. Finals were awesome! She finished Chemistry with an A- and Geometry with a B+! She couldn't have been happier! We are so grateful for Dan and Vivian. Up next...SAT prep! Thank you!! read more

My review is long overdue! Hiring On Track Learning to tutor my son for ACT Prep was one of the best decisions ever. My son's score increased 7 points from the practice test to the first real test! I can't say enough wonderful things about Michael Bruns. His one-on-one, hands-on method of tutoring made it possible for my son to apply to a wider range of colleges. Colleges that clearly were not on his radar prior to Michael's tutoring. Michael is a tutor who genuinely cares about his students and their academic success. Michael began customizing a tutoring plan for my son at our very first meeting. He always kept me apprised of my son's progress, was always accessible to both me and my son, and was flexible when it came to my son's demanding baseball schedule. This was the second ACT Prep Tutoring organization we tried and it is worth every penny. read more

do not take your kids here. stay away!!!! the owner is an unethical business man who charges people different prices. he only cares about making money. he "advised" that my son take on extra tutoring lessons; however, when i checked with my son's teacher she said that he was doing completely fine and did not need tutoring. i do not trust dan the owner bc he cares more about making his wallet fatter than the education of our young ones. do not let him fool you. unethical business owners should not be doing business in our cities, in our schools, or with the future minds of this country. dan harrington is a liar. he is not a fair and honest man. and i know this for a fact since he does not keep his prices consistent with anyone and his tutoring staff continuously changes since no one wants to be working with a con artist. do not take your kids here! read more

Over the course of the last two years, both our sons received tutoring in math and/or physics at On Track Learning. Each times, we were very happy with the quality of the tutors and the results our sons obtained. One of our sons completely Trigonometry and Pre-Calculus with them over the summer and took a placement test at Diablo Community College. He placed exactly where we wanted him to be to start Calculus. Dan, the director, is very friendly and quick to respond. It was easy and fast to schedule appointments. More recently, my son started the SAT prep with Michael. So far we are extremely pleased. The program is very well organized and Michael is an excellent tutor. On Track Learning is the place to go if you need extra tutoring to boost your grades in a particular subject, or get a better score in your SAT or ACT. It is a wonderful program read more

We are so incredibly grateful for Mike Lee and the impact he's had on our daughter's education. In just a short time, he completely turned around her confidence and understanding of math. She went from struggling and discouraged to thriving and actually enjoying the subject -- and it's all thanks to Mike's patient, kind, and encouraging approach. Our daughter is in second grade and can be quite emotional when she feels overwhelmed, but Mike knew exactly how to connect with her. He created a safe space for her to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. His calm demeanor and consistent support helped her not only improve her grades but also truly believe in her own abilities. Mike is a gifted tutor, and we can't thank him enough for the difference he's made in our child's life. Highly recommend! read more

My son struggled in Honor's Chemistry class last year so I searched Internet found On Track Learning center.. Dan, who runs this learning center, recommended Will, a tutor.. After having tutoring sessions with Will, my son's grade went up so my son continually met him until the end of school year. We met several tutors before On Track Learning center but they couldn't really help my son out except one tutor who was always busy. My son told me that Will always explained problems until my son understand very easy and clearly, and sometimes Will taught him more than one hour without any extra charge. Dan always replied and scheduled quickly when we needed. I really like to recommend this learning center specially Will to other people who need help. He is kind and very helpful. read more

My son was having trouble with math, and it was leading to battles at home. After a conference with his teacher, she recommended On Track Learning, and I'm so grateful she did. Two months later we see the difference that they have made! My son is more confident with math, and seems to have gained skills to help him focus better, too. (Fewer battles at home and higher test scores are some of the wonderful side effects!) Dan strives to understand the issues your child is experiencing, so that he can match them with the right tutor. The tutor my son works with is a teacher, so she understands different ways to get through to him, and also knows what will be coming with Common Core. If she can't make it, Dan tutors my son himself. All in all, a quality program. read more

Our daughter started with On Track Learning during her Junior year for ACT preparation. Initially she started in the semi-private courses which worked well for keeping her on track with the prep curriculum. During the March SIP, OTL was extremely flexible with transitioning her to private tutoring as she was determined to continue to improve her score. Her tutors were very easy to schedule and gave her good advice for where to focus her studying based on the outcomes of her ACT prep tests. We felt like the tutors genuinely cared about how she was doing and how they could help her be most prepared. Our daughter improved her ACT score by 11 points from her first attempt and will attend USC! read more

Test scores have never been my son's strength. He will be graduating Spring 2020 and currently has a 4.53 GPA, has earned his Eagle Scout, and played both Varsity and Club Soccer. On Track Learning helped him decide not to pursue the ACT, but focus on the SAT, and with semi-private tutoring, a schedule, and a binder full of materials, increase his score 120 points. This made all the difference in his applications; he has been accepted to the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and UC Berkeley with an invitation to apply to be a Regent Scholar. Thank you On Track Learning! read more

I took my, then, second grader to Dan. He was in a split class with 3rd graders and was lacking confidence in math and felt he was falling behind the other kids. Dan quickly took him under his wing and we saw almost immediate results. By the time he reached third grade he was top of the class, and that is where he stay throughout third and fourth grade. Now a 5th grader my son continues to be very strong in math. More importantly he is no longer feeling insecure and the confidence he gained through Dan has transferred to other areas of his life. read more

My son began at OTL, with Dan and his team, for AP Calculus tutoring. Dan was always available, even for those short notices, and always worked around my son's busy schedule. When my son began his junior year, we started his ACT test prep at OTL as well. My son's ACT score improved 6 points after taking an ACT test prep course and was accepted into his first choice college! He couldn't have done it without OTL! I highly recommend Dan and his team. Thank you OTL for all the years you've helped my kids advance and reach their goals. read more

Our daughter, a junior at MVHS, turned to On Track Learning for help with Chem and she was assigned to a graduate student from UC Berkeley. He has provided the help she needed to grasp the material. The place itself is very homey, bustling with the activity of tutors and learners. Our daughter really enjoys going. In addition, Dan, the owner and the one responsible for scheduling, is easy to reach by text and he makes every effort to accommodate changes due to busy schedules. We recommend this place highly for help with Chem. read more

Truly excellent tutoring center! My 14 year old son has used other tutors in the past, but none have "clicked" for him like the team at On Track. Dan is very professional, responds to communications promptly, and has been flexible in our scheduling in order to accommodate changing athletic schedules. My son used On Track for Spanish and English last year and immediately began to see an improvement in grades. We immediately scheduled tutoring for the new school year as it has become an additional learning resource for him. read more

Dan Harrington and his team were instrumental with regards to our son's recent academic success. Through On Track Learning our son was able to raise his SAT test scores significantly and develop excellent new skills for studying test material which will be an absolute benefit as he will be attending University of Oregon, Class of 2023 ! We are so excited for him and want to thank OTL for being so available and creating a workable schedule for our son and our family. I highly recommend OTL. read more

We have been going to OnLearning for a couple months now and have had a very consistent experience that is overwhelmingly positive. My daughter has been comfortable with each Math session and goes into her tests the next day with a feeling of confidence and the time spent has resulted in success. On top of the tutoring experience, Dan has been more then accommodating in fitting in with our changing calendar and has always had someone available to fit our schedule. read more
