Joseph came out to my home to give me an estimate for moving my home gym. He was punctual and explained how everything would be broken down and wrapped before transport. DO NOT TAKE TRAD RAVON AT HIS WORD. Get every detail in writing! TRAD RAVON DOES NOT HONOR HIS WORD. Trad Ravon, the salesman, came to our home to provide us with an estimated cost to move our property from Florida to Pennsylvania. He surveyed every thing that we wanted move. He said we would need to book an entire 53 foot trailer for our move. He said we would have exclusive use of the 53 foot trailer and it would transport our goods directly to our new home in Pennsylvania. Only our goods would be onboard the trailer from our home in Florida to our new home in Pennsylvania. He told us our property would be at our new address in Pennsylvania between 12/26 and 12/30. The truck finally arrived on 1/6/24. The 53 foot trailer had 23 feet of empty space aboard when it arrived with my goods in PA. The truck driver said he made two delivery stops before arriving at my door. . One stop in New Jersey and the other stop in Massachusetts. I spent the entire day helping the movers and using my truck to drive our goods up the driveway to assist in the move. Trad also promised a second smaller truck would come to our new home in Pa. to transport our goods up to the house from the big truck in the street. It didn't materialize. When we asked National Van Lines for a partial refund of the cost of the exclusive use on the 53 foot trailer they rejected our claim out-of-hand. They said there wasn't anything in writing that stated that we had exclusive use of the entire 53 Foot trailer. Trad Ravon denied he made any representation for exclusive use of the 53 foot truck to the National Van Lines claims investigator. Instead, they sent a check for a measly $100 per day of delayed delivery. $15,080 in moving charges and Trad would not admit that he promised us exclusive use of a 53 foot truck which cost an extra $2000. I guess that went into Trad's pocket! Still making repairs to the items they broke. Still putting stuff back together to the items they took apart. I read a lot of confusing reviews. I have had these guys move me 3 times with professional and fast service. I never had an issue with communication, price or damage so again not getting all the negative reviews. Anyway if I ever need someone to move me will definitely be these guys!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! A few weeks before our cross-country move, we had someone come over from On Time Moving to provide us with an estimate. During this time, they inventories the items that would be taken, made a check-list and had us sign off. We agreed to pay $4600 flat rate based on the items listed. The person who did the walk-through explained to us that if anything was broken, we would receive the value back (minus depreciation). Nothing else was said about replacement, insurance etc. We were told to sign and that 1 week ahead of our move, we would receive an exact arrival date. A week before, we did not receive a call. We called a few times and were told we would not get an exact date until they were on the road. This was a little irritating as we were told something different, but we understand. The next issue came when the movers left behind several large items: patio furniture, bicycle, rug. Every item was supposed to be removed, so it is confusing how they got left behind. We immediately called and texted to see if they could be put on the truck, but we did not get an answer besides "sorry call on Monday". So they left without nearly $800 of our stuff. We immediately began trying to get help with this situation and get it rectified. We were given the run around since August 7th and as of today (8/24) we still have not gotten to speak to George who we have been told would call us for nearly 3 weeks. In addition to missing items, several large items were broken. We understand some things being broken in a long distance move, but multiple pieces of furniture, a pizza oven, art work etc. that the movers packed is unacceptable. After doing the research requested for the claim, the value of items left behind and/or ruined was $1900. The company offered us $400. Every person we spoke to besides Leda was condescending, rude, and disrespectful. As I write this, we are still waiting to hear from George. We tried really hard to solve this politely- we understand mistakes happen. But we are now out nearly $2000, a lot of time, and frankly are just incredibly disappointed by this company and their treatment of us. If we come to some sort of solution, I of course will update this. But as it stands, I highly recommend you AVOID this company at all costs. read more

Buyer beware! I packed my own items, marked them clearly, and the movers came in and stuffed my "Fragile items" into big boxes, the most Fragile of course on the bottom. I was complaining, they told me they would guarantee nothing would be broken, that there were just too many little boxes for them to carry. No guarantee! What a mess, I am still finding broken stuff. And their name should be "show up when ever they want.. not On Time" They were 3.5 hours late arriving to our home, I kept calling to see where our stuff was. We had other appointments to be to that day, everything had to be cancelled because nobody would call me back. The excuse was they didn't have my phone # correctly. It was plainly printed on the order. AND here is the best one!!! The driver, Ricky was sick as a dog when he showed up, in the middle of COVID-19. No masks for either of the two drivers. My husband has COPD, and we both have RA. The driver spent almost 3/4 of an hour in MY bathroom, his excuse "bad fries" for breakfast. But, he charged me for two hours of work @ $100 per hour. My husband and I ended up having to help get stuff moved off truck because it was pouring down rain and we didn't want our stuff soaking wet. I had to totally sterilize our home when they left. And quarantine ourselves from my family for a week. I called the company and was told the owner would call on Monday and speak with me. Nobody ever called. I am still opening boxes with broken items. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. THEY WILL TRICK YOU. A really nice lady will talk to you. Then all hell will break loose. As I said... Buyer beware! COMPLETE BAIT & SWITCH ON TIME OF DELIVERY As an announcer for WWE, I travel often for work, and don't have much time at home. For this reason, I required a small delivery window of 2-3 days. I was given a few options as seen QUOTED from their email (as seen below). "We could do a drop August 22nd to 23rd for about $2400.00. I hope that makes sense. The estimate attached shows the flat rate cost 2 ways. 1st - with a 10 day delivery window at $2150.00 2nd -with a 5 Day delivery window at $2300.00" My original choice was the 22nd-23rd for the $2400. However, their representative told me that if I chose the 5 Day Window, that I could save myself $100 because they would still be able to get it there in the shorter amount of time. However, I just received a voicemail from Chris (and made a subsequent follow up call) and was told that it would be the 25th or 26th (the tail end of that 5-Day window). I explained the situation, as well as my work schedule and that I wouldn't even be home on the 26th. I also detailed the conversation I had with Leda, the person who set up my move and even offered to forward him the email with the quotes (as seen above), but he wanted no part of it. Rather than show any sort of empathy or try to make good in one form or another, I was told (and I quote) "Well sir, we are still getting you your stuff in the delivery window that you chose, so I don't know what to tell you...", to which I asked "So I shouldn't have taken your company at it's word?!" His response was "Nope. Like I said, we're getting there in the window." No interest in seeing the quotes, no interest in helping, and zero accountability. Their only interest is covering their @$$ on technicalities. Indeed, I did choose that window because I TRUSTED your COMPANY'S WORD! What a catastrophic mistake that was. I would have HAPPILY paid the extra $100 for the 22nd-23rd delivery if I knew what their true business practices were. On top of everything else, I paid a higher price to go with them rather than another company because of their "self-proclaimed" great customer service. I moved with OnTime Movers from Florida to Tennessee. The guys that arrived the load truck day were phenomenal! They packed and not one thing they packed was broken. However, the guy the first day and the three the second day were true amateurs. They broke $150.00 Waterford set of crystal candle holders and the glass lamp shade to my favorite lamp, a gift from my deceased husband along with several small items. It was so obvious who had packed what. Billy, Louis and James. ASK FOR BILLY, LUIS AND JAMES. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. They are extraordinary hard efficient workers. Five stars for all three of them. Absolutely excellent experience except for the first guy and then the second set who packed 11 boxes in four and a half hours. Smoking and talking was their agenda. I felt so badly for Billy, Luis and James unpacking for 14 hours with a 20 minute lunch break. Give them a bonus! read more

I hired On Time Moving and Storage to move items from my deceased fathers home in Florida to my home in Colorado. I was told in writing at the time of booking that I did not need extra insurance because all items being moved were insured for full replacement value, minus a $300 deductible. At the time of packing, a large valuable and fragile amethyst geode was pointed out to the packers and told that it needed to be packed separately. When the items were delivered, the amethyst geode was found at the bottom of a wardrobe box, under kitchen items, a toaster oven, and a small TV. One large piece was broken off the top of the geode, and the body of the geode now has a large crack in it. We filled out the proper claim forms, including a picture of a similar geode from the same store ours was purchased at, showing the value to be $2,590. On time moving and storage is now saying that our items were only insured at $6/lb. They have offered to replace our $2,500 museum grade geode with a poor quality geode from etsy.com for $200. We have tried for 10 months to work out a fair settlement, with no success. Their last email said "Just because you paid a certain amount for something doesn't mean it is worth that". read more

While I never used them for moving, someone had used my number for a moving quote through some website. I started to receive a TON of calls and texts. I called these companies back to explain there has been some sort of error, and I am NOT moving. The woman who answered was SO friendly and kind and she said she would first update her records and then reach out to the site directly so see if there was anything she could do. I had so many problems with them from lack of communication to one of the movers being shady and trying to get me to pay him under the table in exchange for "saving" us from extra charges that did not exist. This company LOST 6 OF MY BOXES. 6 BOXES WITH EXPENSIVE ITEMS GONE with NO EXPLAINATION. This company does not care about you nor will they care for your items. They cannot even tell me information on what they did to look for them. I took them through arbitration with the better business bureau and it was a joke and does not value the normal consumer, the companies pay to be in with the BBB so obviously things were ruled in their favor. They were caught lying multiple times while I had actual evidence showing this but nothing came of it. They either lost my boxes out of complete negligence or stole them. My wife and I had a terrible experience. Our packing was done by one On-Time Moving employee and his wife, whom had know experience and was not an employee of On Time Moving & Storage. I now know this because at one point she told us that she doesn't do this for a living. They used our bath towels as padding instead of properly padding the boxes with the material they brought. At one point when we were unpacking, the kitchen knives were sticking straight up and were not even wrapped. None of the boxes were even labeled so there was no way to tell where the boxes should be placed when the movers were bringing them in. After constantly reminding the moving coming upon arrival that they needed to be finished by 4 PM because of my condo rules & regulations, they did not listen. The movers arrived at 1:30 on the day of the delivery and did not finish until 5:30 PM , causing me to incur an overtime charge by the condo association. On Time Moving and Storage mis-placed my Dyson Vacuum cleaner, broke my paper shredder, and completely destroyed my $900 dresser. Their response was to send me a $127 check. Worst experience I have ever had and I will not recommend anyone to ever use this moving company. read more

I moved from Jacksonville, FL to Milwaukee, WI. However for a while, I did have my stuff in storage with On Time for approx. 9 months. The storage seemed ok. When they delivered my stuff in Milwaukee, they FORGOT 1/2 of my bed and a large bedroom mirror. It was placed in storage in a different location. Obviously, I was irate. When I talked to Chris, one of the store personnel, he basically said "at least you have the mattress on the floor to use for a while, you talking to me about this issue more won't change anything, you should suck it up". Yep, that's what he said. And since it was such a far move, they didn't deliver the other 1/2 of my bed and the mirror for a month. At this point of course, I wondered if they WOULD deliver it. I paid 1/2 in cash. Super dumb on my part. I asked for a partial refund - they didn't give it to me. I'm posting this review as many places as I can. If I could rates it lower, I would. They did not deliver my stuff within the agreed upon time frame. I was good that a truck broke down but they were going to use another one, which also ended up "broken down". After talking to someone else at the company, I found out one of the trucks was not broken down, I was lied too. I incurred a lot of extra expenses and they wouldn't give me a discount. I war told it was "not their fault the truck broke down and that my stuff was delivered many days late. Then when I got my stuff, some things were damaged. The guys that load and unload w set e very nice, but overall.... Horrible service.... If you have all the time in the world to move and money do stay in a hotel until your stuff arrives, then use them. If not, I would look at other companies. read more

I should have read all the reviews. While I was impressed with their being able to get the truck up to my condo on a narrow one-way street, I was really disappointed (understatement) with the condition of my stuff. One framed print had the glass broken; okay, that's understandable, but when I wrote to inquire about insurance covering it, I heard nothing for two weeks. When I nudged, the person wrote back saying she "didn't understand why she hadn't responded earlier." The worst thing was that they lost ALL my bracelets and pieces of the stand they were packed with. Probably 20 pieces with lots of value to me. I've written to inquire about whether they were found and heard back.... crickets. Really?? I paid a lot for insurance and it was apparently worth nothing. Items received were damaged and they refused to fix them. I recently moved from Texas to Florida, and was very worried about a high value computer that I had. After numerous calls and talking with the company, they agreed to pack PC and transport a few boxes that I needed moved. When they packed the pc, it was packed using boxes I had laying around the house. And with minimal protection. When I received the PC at my new place, the box was crushed, and the PC was not working. When I looked into it I found that due to the drop, the video card had broken. I did not ask them to replace the entire thing, but rather to just replace the one part that broke. It took a week and a half for someone to respond with a fraction of the cost of what they broke. They do not seem to care what their employees do, and if it breaks they just assume that you will not complain. Eventually they said I could contact their attorney. Worst moving experience I have ever had. They care nothing about your things, and do not cover damages that they cause. Don't use them. read more

This move was 2 1/2 hours from starting point to finish. This moving company moved me using two moving trucks starting out in the morning and finishing at 11:00 p.m. in the evening. Upon arrival of the furniture and boxes, 9 items were either broken or damaged, one interior wall damaged and two items were missing. I put a claim in with the moving company and they were nonresponsive. I would not recommend this company to do a long distance move. On Time Moving moved our 3-bedroom place from St Augustine to Tallahassee yesterday. They called us to confirm 1 week in advance & again the day ahead. They arrived on time and w/ all supplies & equipment needed. They were courteous, very efficient loading (2 men loaded entire 26-ft truck in 75 minutes. We had hired less expensive helpers to move everything into our garage beforehand). Their brand new truck drove faster than we could follow pulling our trailer so they arrived destination ahead of us. They unloaded our stuff into storage unit so fast made my head spin. Known locally within the moving community as "brokers" without the resources to handle interstate moves, which they invariably use to stage "hostage" crises -- illegally withholding the cargo of customers until they pay the "ransom" demanded by OTM -- in order to exploit either the willingness of the Feds to sell consumers out for the sake of licensing revenues or the possibility that Interstate Residential Moving is controlled by the Mob, which has its roots in this country in the Trucking Industry, whereas the Feds' approach to dealing with the Mob has always revolved around appeasement and compromise as a matter of necessity (perhaps accounting for why the laws governing Interstate Residential Moving are handled by a Federal licensing agency such as the DOT, as opposed to an actual Federal law enforcement agency such as the FBI). All it would take for the DOT to put an end to hostage crises throughout the country would be to utilize its authority to fine rogues up to $10,000 per day by simply telling consumers to spend whatever funds they had intended to pay rogue movers towards replacing their cargo until the DOT gets around to fining them, but the DOT flatly refuses to do so. In my particular scenario, I unwittingly signed a blank bill of lading when my cargo was picked up on 3/29/16 to be stored locally in Florida until I could locate an apartment in Georgia. When I notified OTM that I had located a prospective unit on 6/3/16 (a Friday), OTM promptly proceeded to demand payment upfront for transport to my new residence and to renege on its verbal agreement to charge by the actual weight of the cargo (reaffirmed when my items were picked up), claiming instead that the "high estimate" they had given me during the onsite inspection of $2,200 was actually a "flat rate" I had agreed to. Since these are behaviors singled out by the DOT as indicators that you are dealing with a "rogue", I immediately set about locating an alternate mover to transfer my cargo to for delivery to Georgia, only to be informed by OTM on 6/6/16 that it was already en route to Georgia at my request on 6/3/16 (I actually told OTM that I had not seen the prospective apartment yet and would get back to them once I had, which did not take place until 6/8/16) and that I would have to pay for both delivery to Georgia and transport back to Florida if I wanted to hire another mover. I proceeded to file complaints with the DOT & BBB that very same day -- to no avail whatsoever, as OTM remains accredited with the BBB and listed in its directory of local movers as one of the "businesses you can trust in Northeast Florida", whereas the DOT still refuses to intervene nearly 4 months after I contacted the DOT Supervisor assigned to my case directly on 8/24/16. OTM has been blatant about its criminality to the point of freely admitting to the aforementioned Supervisor that its 8/24/16 email offer for me to pick up my cargo free of charge was a fabrication and also threatening on 12/14/16 via email to auction my cargo off if the ransom is not paid immediately. Since OTM is holding a blank bill of lading with no value declared for my cargo (which OTM went out of its way to highlight when forwarding the bill to MoveRescue.com when I sought their intervention) that would leave them free to report it as "lost" as soon as they received the upfront cash/certified funds that they started demanding in response to my complaints, payment has never been a viable option. In short, every action OTM has taken since I contacted them to alert them that I had located a prospective apartment has been designed to discourage me from going through with the transport of my cargo to Georgia, so that it could ultimately be auctioned off once it became clear that I was never going to pay the ransom. If OTM had ever intended to do anything else from the outset, they would have released my cargo to the alternate mover as I requested (particularly if they really charge for storage like they claim), sent me a bill for whatever payment they felt was owed them and forwarded it to a collection agency if I refused to pay it for any reason. read more

The guys should up early which was a relief to my wife and the were nice and professional and packed up our 2 bedroom apartment in record time and drove it to my new house in Jacksonville. The estimator who came to our home was not only professional and friendly but so knowledgeable. The movers were hard workers and had such respect for our homes and items. And the office staff were beyond caring, informative and just so nice to work with! I strongly recommend them to everyone!!!! DO NOT MOVE UNLESS IT IS WITH ON TIME MOVING AND STORAGE. BEYOND FANTASTIC!!! I have moved across the country/ state to state a few times, but have never has such a care free and perfect experience. They not only took the time to come to our home and explain everything to us, they were actually honest about things! The amount they said I would pay is actually what I paid!!! I never knew you should not give a mover a deposit.... I can not say enough good things about this s\company. The estimator was wonderful, the office staff friendly and actually cared about helping us make this a simply process. Lastly, the movers who came to our home WOW - Polite and hard working men!!! I will never use another moving company and recommend them to anyone I know. In fact, they are moving my mother from MA in June and just helped my son while he was having his floors redone.
