So we turned to a moving company. After reading through review for several companies, and excluding ones that weren't available on the upcoming weekend we landed on Jaguar movers, and I'm super happy with our choice. The initial communication with them was very professionally, they gave us all the details we needed, and followed up with any questions we had. On the day of the move both Cory and Waymon showed up a few minutes early, did a walk through of the house, and then got right to work. My wife and I had packed up most of the stuff already but they wrapped up anything that might get damaged in any way. At the new house they were patient while we pointed out where everything went, and were super careful putting things down on the hardwood floors. To top the entire experience off; a very small support piece from an Ikea piece got misplaced in the move and none of use could find it. We looked through the truck and I really feel like Cory and Waymon did a great job looking for it. Even though we couldn't find it, it must have been in the truck somewhere because the next day they drove back to our new house to return it! Said there was a personal emergency and it would be 10:30. 11 rolls around, still nothing. I call again because they are not keeping me updated, they finally arrive around 11:30. It took over six and a half hours, constant complaints of how a third guy wasn't sent, they didn't wrap anything other than my tv, and actually broke off some of the brick on my steps at my new place for how rough they were being with my belongings. At the beginning of the conversation, I was very clear that I was just calling for a quote, and once the person gave me the information, he wanted to lock in and pay a down payment towards the quote. I told him once again that I have other companies to check out, and I am not deciding on the first quote that I receive. he went on to tell me that it was the best quote, that the other company can scam me, and other additional stuff. Once more, I informed him of my plan, and while I was speaking, he hung up on me. If this reflects how the company conducts itself, I am definitely not using them. And I would advise everyone not to use them because they are very unprofessional.
