Fantastic storage unit. Easy to get to- located directly off US 1, and it runs behind a larger plaza, with the main office being directly off the highway. There are tons of different options in terms of the size of the storage units needed, and the majority are climate controlled. Also, being only one level, it's easy to get to where you're going. Park nearest one of the doors, or if you have an outdoor unit park next to your door, and loading/unloading is a snap. There are a lot of carts available if you need help moving anything heavy. The units are in great shape, thanks mostly to the awesome caretaker who spends all day driving around, fixing problems, and making sure the place looks great. The staff is the greatest part of this place, however. I believe it's a couple that runs the entire storage unit, the husband is the caretaker, and the wife runs the main office. Super friendly, super helpful, and always in a great mood. The office also sells moving supplies if you need some in a pinch, although they're only open during regular business hours. We had our unit for 4 months when they raised the rates by $50. Called to inquire, had it lowered back to the original rate, but not before they charged me the ridiculous amount. The following month, there was no attempt to 'make it right' for the customer and crediting us the over-charge. We called a large-box competitor and got a larger unit for less money and were able to pay for six months at the lower rate! Look elsewhere as this particular site at 3990 US Hwy 1 S in St Augustine Shores is old, dark & not well maintained. As someone who has used this for storage for over 5 years- they greatly over charge for what you're getting. My payments started out around 115 and are now almost 200 per month. WE are paying for them to open more facilities!! There are tons of options in the area for storage that won't charge an arm and a leg and raise the fees all the time! Also- I totally thought I would need 24/7 access to my stuff- but I didn't. I was never there after 6. It's just something else for them to charge extra for! read more

The antithesis of the experience I had at the Atlantic Self Storage on the island. Walked in to a friendly, helpful environment. The folks worked to save me as much as they could by applying the latest deals. I ended up with a climate controlled unit and an outside unit. The layout of the units is simple, easy to access the outside units (pull up), straightforward, fairly large doorways to access the climate controlled units. This place seems to sit a little higher than the one on the island, but there aren't any upstairs units, like on the island. Their prices are very reasonable ($120/month on a 10x30 outside and $145/mo on a 10x20 climate controlled). The place is easy to get to from I-95, on US-1 South. Highly recommended. read more

Dana & Dean, the managers, were always very helpful. The facility was very clean and our unit stayed cool.

My 'climate controlled' unit hasn't been air conditioned in 2 weeks and is considered a 'non emergency' but she feels really bad about it. I have no idea if or when it will get fixed, she can't call all of us but she does have a call in to the service people. Unfortunately she is busy fighting spiders...,on the flip side, I did find a space that actually fixes their units..,can't wait to move, just wish I didn't have to move again. read more
