We have a service agreement with On Time Experts. Our heater went out during the January 2026 cold storm. Our tech that came out Joey was extremely knowledgeable and got us back up running quickly. We were appreciative of that. Lifesaver and really knows his stuff. However, in the end we needed a new unit. We went through that sales process with Lance which was painless. The next day we had the system installed. The crew installing was Ricardo and Johnny. They were amazing. Very professional, knowledgeable and quick. Full HVAC installed in about 7 hours. Seamless. The Ricardo and Johnny came back later to do some additional duct work. The house is night and day in terms of air flow and efficiency. Highly recommend On Time Experts for any HVAC needs. Called for a quote on duct cleaning was told i had to do the $59 AC/ Heater maintenance, I asked specifically if it covered the inside unit coil clean was told it does but when the tech came over told me he would charge extra for that. Their technicians are great, but their prices are high AND they have trouble meeting reasonable time expectations. I just terminated my long term contract with them for my two AC units because they failed to show up at the requested time FOUR times in a row. I made four attempts to schedule the first appointment of the day because I did not want to dedicate a full day to preventive maintenance on my AC systems - which usually takes 4-5 hours to complete. They failed four times in a row so I terminated my contract. I had previously warned them that I would terminate our contract if they missed the appointment again. read more

I had a plumber come out to do a simple diverter repair. He gave 2 options. We took the less expensive route of just replace the parts ($500). While pulling the parts out he got a screw stuck in the water diverter line. Now he said that we have to do the expensive route of ($1500). Very interesting how his mistake was now my problem. I paid him this $95 dollar come out fee and told him no thanks. What a rip off!!! read more

We bought a brand new AC unit for our house two years ago and since then we've had to replace multiple parts on a brand new unit. $11,000 unit worth $2.00! It was leaking so bad, it messed up our roof and we had to get that fixed as well. We honestly feel as though they sold us a faulty unit!!! Every time they've come out to your house to fix the same unit, they charged us hundreds of dollars to fix something that shouldn't be broken, but it is! They came August 2025 to fix a problem and now they're back January 206 for another problem and want to charge us $300+ to fix it. When we said we have the maintenance membership, they said they didn't save our credit card information and that we hav a balance from that but never reached out to us to advise our membership was not intact. It's been a real shit show with this company! I would not take the word of any of the positive reviews on here or anywhere, because from real experience, you're in for a nightmare if you use this company. The tech Sean was awesome. now mind you.. he is with AC Colony. the same company I use for 9 years... except for ONE time I decided to try On Time Experts for a free inspection promo. this was a few years ago and one of the techs that came was Sean. its wild he ended up coming to my house as a AC Colony team member. He did a super job & was direct and honest..then & now.. and On Time Experts should NOT have let him leave. I must add .. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. We had them come out to do a free cleaning. Our system is brand new, installed a year ago. We have had moderate weather for the last week so when the AC kicked on a week later the core froze - I noticed water dripping through our patio ceiling. I called them back out (a year of flawless operation) because obviously they did or didn't do something. The tech came out and proceeded to tell me the refrigerant is no longer approved, and that we had a leak somewhere. Both turned out to be incorrect. Luckily my system was under warranty so the builder came out and confirmed everything the tech was trying to sell us was not needed. I honestly believe the guy who cleaned the system let refrigerant out to create this whole thing. Unethical - beware. read more

On-time Experts replaced 2 clean-outs and 1 cap on the sewer pipe under the driveway on 3-4-26. I was out to dinner when the work was finished. I was called at dinner. I said I would be happy to settle up and asked if I could pay on-line. They said that wasn't a problem. When I got home, the 3 caps were missing. On 3-5-26 around 0900, I called to find out what had happened. I received a callback around 1 or 2 pm from Luis. He stated that he had removed the caps, because I hadn't paid them yet. I stated he was allowing sewage to drain out over the driveway and into the lake. I would pay them, but not until I had checked the work. I said it was extremely unprofessional of them to do that. He said it was unprofessional of me to not being there when he completed the work. About 15 min later, I got a call from Gary (manager). He stated I needed to pay before they would replace the caps. I stated I was at work and wouldn't be home until the next day. He said I should call them when I was home. I explained that raw sewage would be draining into the lake. He reiterated they wouldn't replace the caps until I paid. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he stated, "you don't need to worry about that". I called the company directly and asked to file a complaint. I was told to expect a call on the following day. On my way home from work, I purchased 3 caps to replace them myself and stop the sewage leak. When I got home, the 3 caps had been replaced. At that time, I went on-line and paid the bill of $1488.94. I received a call from Jacob on 3-9-26. He expressed regret but indicated he was a subordinate to Gary so was limited in what he could do. I can't believe that this company was so unprofessional as to purposely leave the caps off the sewer line clean-outs, allowing sewage to drain down the driveway and into the lake. When I spoke with the manager, he was equally unprofessional. I will never use this company again, and strongly advise others to stay away from them also. read more

Every time I called to get an update I got a fake AI voice, finally at 11pm , they called me back and said no one's coming! In July 2024, we purchased a new A/C unit from On Time Experts at a cost of approximately $24,000. The system came with a two-year warranty, which included semi-annual maintenance visits--covering filter replacements, tune-ups, and other routine servicing. However, I became concerned early on when I had to initiate contact with the company to schedule the first maintenance visit, rather than them proactively reaching out as the agreement implied. As of today, August 18, 2025, we are still dealing with the aftermath of a defective A/C drain line, which caused significant water damage. On July 7th, On Time Experts acknowledged the issue and arranged for the removal of damaged drywall and cabinetry in our master bathroom. Over a month later, the space remains unusable--there are still no cabinets, mirrors, or functional amenities. I was asked by the company to obtain a repair estimate, which I did through Lowe's. However, after submitting the bid (approximately $7,036), I was informed that the company is unwilling to cover the cost of restoring our master bathroom The only reason for the 2 star is because they fixed the A/C problem but obviously not the damage it caused. Over 1 month has passed. PS Communication needs be improve seriously - over 2-3 weeks no communication before writing my first google review. They would be great if they would just treat the customer as though it was their home. read more

HIGHWAY ROBBERY. Our downstairs unit stopped heating the house Saturday, the igniter had failed. My wife couldn't wait for the home warranty people to respond and picked on time experts ? The service technician confirmed the issue. They quoted us $844 to replace igniter in both units. The OEM igniter is $26 and it takes 10 minutes labor to replace each! HVAC unit installed in May of 2024. I have had numerous issues with this unit and incompetent techs. Every time they come out something else is discovered to be faulty. This weekend the tech came out for a general check and wanted to charge me to fix something that should not be broken under 2 years. Terrible company. This happened in July 2025. I will give them credit for coming out on a Sunday, but they are a total scam. They spent 4 hours looking at my attic unit and said they found a leak. That 4 hour service call cost over $500. They said they would have to look for a replacement part which could take up to 2 days, and the quote for replacement was over $2,400. The technician convinced us to sign up for their membership to get a discount on the bill, and that we could cancel at any time for no charge. We did and said we cancel now. He said ok. The next morning I called a second company. They took 30 minutes to find the leak and had a part to make the repair on them, and it cost less than $1,100. The only reason the repair was even that much was because the technician from On Time somehow broke our thermostat while he was there the day before. We have been getting invoices for the membership every month since then. I would not recommend this company to anyone for anything. read more

Exceptional service from On Time Experts. Colin came out in the middle of a frigid winter storm to assess why our upstairs wasn't heating. Unfortunately our upstairs system was 17 years old. On Time Experts was able to get Freddy and Rito out the next day to replace our entire upstairs system, furnace and outdoor unit, on a day with ice and snow on the ground and below freezing temps all day. On time expert, Ac Repair . Warning: overcharging then . The AC technician was professional, respectful, and did the job well. He provided the quote upfront, but I was in a situation where I didn't have time to shop around or wait. I ended up paying $525 for a basic capacitor replacement. If I had declined the repair, I would've still been charged a $95 service visit fee, which is higher than what many other companies charge. Given the urgency, I agreed to the price, but later realized that the total cost was well above average for this type of repair. This is not a complaint about the technician himself--he did his part. But I do want to warn others to ask detailed questions about pricing ahead of time, especially if the situation isn't urgent. It's a lesson learned, and hopefully this helps someone else avoid an overpriced repair. read more

Mark was great! We had the whole house cleaned and sanitized - 10 ducts, 1 return, the HVAC unit. Had not been cleaned since 2011 when the HVAC was replaced. He made a recommendation on changing the HVAC filter type we are currently using to make the system run more efficiently - an educational moment we didn't know we needed! Anytime in Texas when your A/C can be more efficient - that is a bonus in my book. We also had a deep clean of our dryer venting, and when I tell you that was years overdue....that is not an exaggeration. It looked like it was snowing out with all the buildup he got out of our duct system! Mark was polite, personable, and efficient in his work, explaining small changes we could make to improve efficiency, and a time line for a maintenance cleaning rather than a deep cleaning, which would be more cost effective. 100% would recommend this company! read more

I've been a loyal customer since 2013, but that's about to change. OTE has replaced our water heater, HVAC, and most recently all new drain pipes under the house. They've never missed charging my card monthly to be a VIP customer, but I am definitely not a VIP. I got a call about two weeks prior to April 8th, saying my AC summer tune up was due. The girl said they could come out April 8th. I asked, "Are y'all open that day, it's Good Friday?" She assured me they were. I was on the schedule to work that day, so I made arrangements to work a half day. At 08:35 that Friday morning I got the confirmation call. I confirmed the appointment. The tech's window was 12 - 4PM, and the next call would be the tech calling with his ETA. The next call came at 13:00, but was the office girl saying the tech was running behind and wouldn't be able to make it that day, would I like to reschedule? I should have prefaced this with, this is the third time I've had to reschedule service with these guys on different issues. I say to her, "What's the point?" I wanted to launch into a Seinfeld bit about taking reservations, but I was NOT in the mood. I said, "Everytime we make an appointment, you guys cancel it day of. Tell you what, let me speak to a supervisor or manager." She incredulously asks, "What does it concern?" "IT'S A COMPLAINT." She puts me on hold, then comes back, "The managers all just went to a meeting. Do you want me to give them a message to call you back.....I'll send an email." That was Friday, April 8th. Three times had to explain to agents which AC unit, where it's located next to the house. Then I scheduled at my job and work to be at home around the appointment time they gave me only to have them no show. In addition, for another AC unit's repair they recommended a full replacement of a system at $19K when another AC company was able to address the same problem, replace a part for $4K and warrantee it for 10 years. read more

I'm ONLY editing my review because of the Tech Tom. He went above and beyond to help fix the problem by coming back out and cleaning the dryer vent. If you go through this company then make sure you get your techs number because if you have to deal with their customer service line then you will never get help. The manager never called me back and the customer service line just hangs up on you non stop. They eventually started sending my number to a random voicemail or they would answer and hang up. I eventually had to call the old school way by *67 and still would answer and hang up. Tom is an amazing tech and personally deserves to work for a better company! read more
