We had the whole place to ourselves so didn't have to worry about the boys getting split up, or random people being around. We were able to bring in our own food and drinks, and the kids came and ate as they pleased. If I throw my son a party next year, we will likely come back here. It's a 20 min drive from Solana Beach, but well worth it.

It's like if someone crossed a SkyZone Trampoline Park with a McDonald's Playpen and slapped it with a coat of pastel paint and candy stickers. Sorry, CANDEE stickers. I will say that the prices are very reasonable. $25 buys you two hours of playtime. Grip socks are extra, food is extra, some of the games are extra. And the area itself is impressively clean, especially considering the number of young children traipsing about. On the negative side of things, however, the list is a bit longer. First, there's not a ton to do. Candeeland has limited space to work with and much of it is taken up by sitting areas for parents. The empty space could easily house 2-3 more small activities without sacrificing any existing areas. Still, what activities they do have are pretty intricate, with the multilevel play area having a nice array of padded areas for children to crawl through and a toddler area with nice pneumatic tube setup to delight the young. Next, even though the place is less than a year old, there's already some breakage of some of the area. There's a floor made up of touch screens that displays numerous games for kids to step on a play with. However, it's apparent that some larger kids have smacked a number of screens, causing them to go out or flicker. Which leads to my biggest issue. There are not that many people working here. This means that there are usually people minding the gate and checking if your kid is leaving with the right person. But, there aren't enough people on the floor to ensure safety or police older kids from doing things they shouldn't be doing. Candeeland really is a place that caters to those between 3-8 years of age. Older kids either don't fit on some of the slides or play a bit too rough with the environment. More than once, a screaming 12 year old almost barreled over my kid, knocked her off a slide, or hit her with one of the nerf axes. Sure, they balk when you glare at them. But, they just go back to screaming and thrashing about while their parents sleep oblivious in the corner. So, does my seven year old like Candeeland? Yes, she loved it and wants to come back. Did I like Candeeland? M'eh, not particularly. Still, I'm sure I'll be back eventually...

I wanted to find a wedding planner to join our team that would help my mom feel confident in all the big (and little) decisions we had to make. Pat was perfect for that as I was able to take the lead on a lot of aspects of the wedding, but she was there to help and assist whenever I needed extra guidance, advice, or simply knowledge of the local industry! Our wedding went off without any issues - something that I feel rarely happens - and my husband and I were able to enjoy the day without thinking about everything happening behind the scenes, which is the biggest thing anyone could ask for on their big day. Below is my mom's thoughts as well in case you're a mother of the bride or you're looking for someone your mom will get along well with. From my mom: As a first time mother of the bride I was very overwhelmed and worried about how to manage all that goes into a wedding. My daughter was very organized but I felt I needed help in the process. Pat did an excellent job from start to finish in creating the wedding my daughter and now son-in-law had hoped for while providing the support for me as well. Pat had excellent practical suggestions that saved us money and time. She allowed us to really enjoy the wedding day while she made sure all the many moving parts of the day worked smoothly. She was open to our thoughts and ideas, and helped us with these seedlings of ideas - to grow into the most perfect, stunning, unique theme - just for our daughter (and one that appealed not not only 30 teenage girls, but the 100 other adults as well). My daughter and I knew the colors we liked, but we didn't have a true vision, and Pat was instrumental in really getting us all on the same page and developing an eye catching and solid theme. We met her, she asked my daughter questions about her interests, and Pat came up with the most fantastic ideas. As a parent, my big concern was "day of." I wanted to enjoy the Bat Mitzvah and not have to come to the hotel to decorate. I wanted to count on someone to do this, meet with the balloon person, flower person, etc, and so I could just show up with my family. PAT did this! She had it all covered, and I trusted her, and when my daughter and I came, all dressed up and came into the room before the guests arrived, we cried! It looked SO amazing, ,it was EVERYTHING we had talked about and MORE!!!! Finally, ,Pat knew that I was on a budget, and when I told her things like, "I'll figure the furniture for a lounge" since I didn't want to pay the high cost she said "ok." She didn't ever try to push me in any direction, she just goes with the client, and works alongside you, if that is your style. I also know if your style is for her to do it ALL she WILL do it all (I have 2 friends that wanted her to do it all and they said she was AMAZING as well). She works SO HARD, she does not forget ONE DETAIL, she is absolutely amazing. This was our 2nd Bat/Bar Mitzvah, and this was the BEST experience we have ever had!!! If you have a Bat/Bar Mitzvah, a big birthday, a graduation, any type of celebration - big or small that you would like some help, I highly recommend Pat. She will help you with Z PERFECT PARTY!!!
