Photo Booth R US, ROCK! Shawn and his team were retained for a "surprise" and themed Birthday Party, and the Photo Booth and pictures, tied the whole party together. Not only did everyone have a blast in the booth, but we all have fabulous photos to remember this super evening, forever (with the photo strips having the birthday date and honoree noted). Although the themed party had all of our guests in costume, the provided photo props, also gave everyone a chance to mix up their look, in the individual and group photos. The laughter coming from the booth was contagious and constant, thoughout the entire evening! In addition to the instant photo strips provided from the booth, we also received all of the photos from the evening, in a digital scrapbook via a provided USB. Super rates and value and we did shop around; with no equal in terms of price and quality. Completely unprofessional. I contacted the company inquiring about the package that was included in the Groupon deal. Shawn email me back, asking for the type of event and location I needed the service for, which I had already included in the online form. After I replied, he said that the Groupon deal does not include weddings. I thanked him and suggested that he put it in the limitations and fine print. He told me to check it again! I replied with a screen shot of his fine print that doesn't include the wedding limitation, and he continued to argue back. Don't be fooled. My interaction with Shawn was the reason I chose this company. He was friendly, helpful and gave me lots of money saving tips (like bringing my own thumb drive to get a copy of all the photos right away, purchasing my own scrapbook etc.) Their artwork was hideous and they totally disregarded the direction I gave them. After 2 miserable attempts by them, I ended up designing my own artwork which they were able to easily incorporate. If you notice, the great reviews are about Shawn .... I did not get Shawn as my photo booth attendant. No one was informed when the photo booth was ready and the clock started ticking. So my guests missed out on around 20 minutes. I only paid for 2 hours so this meant there were actually a few guests that didn't get a chance to take any photos. My attendant wasn't very attentive ... kinda defeats the purpose of an attendant. Yes, my party wasn't very large and it wasn't busy, but he was just sitting there playing on his phone which made him not very approachable. The booth was also set up poorly, check out one of the photos. I mean, do you think you should be able to see the bar and top of the curtain? We had a wedding in July and hired them to do our wedding. One word.. GHETTO!! I spoke with Shawn the owner and he supposedly gave me a "good deal" of $350 for 3 hours. He had a groupon and didn't take it which was the same rate b/c he said he only does one of those a day. Already shady.. So we scheduled it and I told him the wedding was formal. He kept saying "no problem, I'll take care of everything" I asked him about props, book, extra prints. I had to pay for it all myself! Wedding day comes and his ghetto machine is sitting in the corner of the wedding like a huge eye sore!! The guy who's there has on t shirt. shorts and tube socks!!! I was mortified! Then the guy wasn't even showing guests how to use the machine or encouraging the to use it.. A few pictures came out with heads missing and neck shots. The props table was a filthy black linen cloth with a few masks and hats on it. Then when I went to look at pictures after there were so many random pictures of people I didn't know! I found photo booth r us on groupon, but after reading the fine print and calling Shawn, I decided it was better to book through them directly (a note to the previous reviews, most negative reviews had groupon involved, best to reserve a photo booth directly rather than through groupon). Let me say, too, that I did my research and you will not find a better deal out there! The photo booth was such a hit at my wedding!! I reserved it for two hours, before 4 pm (cheaper), and it was perfect. All my guests had a blast taking pictures with the provided props, and they loved taking a copy home (and the photo strip had our names and wedding date awwww!). The other copy went into a scrapbook that I provided (another cause for complaint from other reviews, I do not understand. Big deal, you bring your own book!), and I also provided stickers and markers. I ended up with a book full of awesome pictures, messages, and artwork, it was wonderful!! From start to finish, this has been hands down the best experience! My phone calls never went to a recording, every question and even those I dint think of were answered completely. The technician who came to set up and help was on time, polite, knowledgeable and professional!. I had a great experience with this company. I found them through Groupon and decided to contact them directly before purchasing. I found Shawn to be very professional. I felt comfortable enough to book him and went ahead and pre-paid the full amount. Days before event he followed up with me via email, and via phone the day before. I recently planned a last minute employee holiday party for our catering company . I called Shawn about a week before our event and was hoping he had the evening available. He was so helpful in explaining his services to me and offered me a really great package. He made the contract and deposit process super simple as well! He even had the actual printed photos customized with our company logo! The night of the event he showed up on time and ready to set up for the event. The photobooth set up was simple and you could fit 1- 6 guest in at a time. He also had a good amount of props.(I would like a little bit more variety). He made sure everyone was comfortable and having fun! My favorite part about his services is he went around the whole room and made sure everyone took at least one picture in the booth. That's never going to happen. These were my wedding memories. It was an easy fix. He would not fix the initial's on the photo strips. I recently threw a surprise party and Photo Booth R Us was a successful addition to the party! I wish I threw parties often just so I can use Photo Booth R Us again and again! I highly recommend using Photo Booth R Us to make any event that much more fun!! CUSTOMER SERVICE From the beginning, Shawn was super helpful! Every time I called him, he picked up the phone. I tried calling other places and only got voicemails. He created a custom package based on what I wanted. At the event, Shawn was super friendly and guided the guests with fun ways to pose. When we forgot to use props, he would bring them to us. PHOTOS The photo strips printed with great quality. It prints two copies with three photos to a strip. Shawn also customized with an overlay indicating name, event title and date at the bottom of the photo strip. The photo booth had three options: black and white, color or video. The next day, Shawn sent me a link to all of the photo booth pictures. The digital photos he provided were not just the photo strips but the actual photo! I appreciate how fast the turnaround time was and that he provided the photos in high quality!! PROPS Photo Booth R Us provided the props table and props. The props were fun and funky. There were hats, boas, masks, wigs, plastic glasses, etc. BOOTH EXTERIOR Shawn mentioned that he needed a 6x6 area to set up the photo booth and props table. The photo booth had black curtains. At times, we removed the curtains to take pictures with more than 6 or 7 people. They also provided 3 stools for the booth. Overall, our party had so much fun with Photo Booth R Us!! They do such a great job at such a good deal! This is the second time we've used them. First I used them for my sisters wedding at Twin Oaks Wedding Estate in February 2014. They did an amazing job and had lots of great props. They let you customize the printout so it can say the date and your names for he wedding or graduation or whatever. Everyone loved it! We also got all the pictures emailed to us so we had everyone's pictures online! We loved them so much we hired them again for my wedding his past February at Green Gables Wedding Estate! I rarely write negative reviews. I regret going with Photo Booth R Us for my daughter's recent sweet 16, and I wouldn't recommend them because my experience was not such a good one. THE GOOD (worth 2 stars): - Shawn did answer the phone most times personally and returned my calls when needed. - The photo booth was a hit at the party. - Props were great, and photo quality was good. - I was refunded a portion (less than what I asked for, however) of what I paid because things fell apart. THE BAD: - I was going to buy their Groupon, but upon asking Qs (always ask Qs!) I found out I would only get 50 pics per hour and no props. Shawn quoted me a certain price for 2 hours with unlimited pics (with graphic), props and scrapbook. I accepted and confirmed date/time I wanted was ok. A few days later I was told he had multiple parties booked that day, and his "sister company" was the only one who could do it....AND it would cost me $50 more. Brought the term "bait and switch" to mind. I was upset, but it was close to the event, so I paid and signed the contract. I had other things to do. - Day of the event the 2 ladies showed up an hour late at 7pm. They had trouble setting up and didn't seem to know what they were doing. Once they got going at 8pm things seemed to be going ok, but I discovered 1. they were giving both photo strips to the guest (1 strip was supposed to go to the guest, and the other was supposed to go in the scrapbook), 2. the graphic on the pic was different than approved, and 3. there was no scrapbook! - I had the venue until 10pm and had to start cleaning up around 9:45pm, so I told the ladies to start packing up at 9:40pm. I didn't get my full time, but decided to take it up with the company the next day or so. - I was told by Shawn the equipment was new and other excuses like the number of parties that were booked that day, but that only reflected poorly on his business. Professional businesses only schedule as many events as they know they can handle successfully, they show up on time or early, and they deliver what was promised. I was refunded a portion of what I paid, and Shawn did offer an additional credit to use for a future event, but I didn't want to risk a repeat performance. Photo Booth R Us was not stellar. We hired Photo Booth R Us for our End of Year party in Dec 2013 and at first everything was going fine. Very responsive in setting the date, getting the overlay designed, and getting the contract underway. The night of the party they were to arrive 30-45 mins prior to the start time. After calling to see where they were (party already started) I was told they were on their way from another function. Shawn apologized for having entered the start time of the party wrong, which is why they were late. A young man and his assistant finally arrived and were starting to set up. After checking the status, they were having a difficult time getting the machine to turn on. I got help from the hotel to verify the outlet worked (which it did). During my meal, I went to check the status and come to find out that the young man & assist left with out mentioning that they were leaving. I've been trying for two months to get a refund for a service that was NOT provided and have not received anything. Shawn has been giving, what I feel, is a run around story. Needless to say, I will not use Shawn or Photo Booths R us in the future, nor will I recommend the company to anyone. The hotel also has put them on their DO NOT USE LIST. I had to give a one star rating in order to save my review, but in my book, zero stars should be given. read more

He told me that for the night that I wanted he "did not have availability" for the promotional price, but that he had available spots for regular price and could "give me a deal" without the groupon, meaning much more than the groupon and the price that he wanted.... Not only did they save me after a different company canceled two days before my party, but they were also the hit of the party. All of our photos came out great and Shawn and his staff were absolutely professional and all about our guests having a good time in the photo booth. WE hired Shawn and his company for our wedding. The price was right, he answered all my questions over the phone, and took a good amount of time out of his day to make sure I felt confident in his business... which I did. I am giving them 3 out of 5 stars because overall his company wasn't terrible but they were very disorganized. Every time I emailed to check if they received check, he said he didn't receive it or couldn't find it. I told him my fiancé had written the check and then two days later he wrote back. We designed our own artwork for the photo strips because he said his "design team" would not do it until the week before the wedding. I don't know about you, but that is a little too close for comfort. And with the disorganization via email and information, this didn't settle well with me. Day of the Wedding. Shawn insured me that he would bring a "booth." This is something that was a concern of ours. We wanted an actual booth and he told me that yes, he has an enclosed booth... it wasn't. He stood at the booth the entire time and had to push the button manually for pictures to be taken. I wasn't a huge fan of this. Not everyone is as confident to be silly and goofy while someone is staring at them. After he pushed the manual button to take a photo, it took a good 6 seconds for each photo to be taken... which is an awkward amount of time when you are holding a pose. After you did what you wanted in the Photo Booth and your 3 pictures printed, he took over. "Ok, now we do it my way!" and he would direct you of what to do in the Photo Booth. I didn't mind this too much but then I noticed he did it every time. He also had an attendant there who stood at the table with the props they brought-which he said they had 1000s! I only saw a few varieties. The attendant that was there, looked like he had just walked off the street. Baggy white t-shirt, hat, shorts, tube socks and sneakers. While that may look cool to him, it is not professional. This man seemed extremely sketchy and at first I was taken back when I saw him wandering the foyer. Shawn looked nicer but he still was not wearing wedding vendor appropriate attire. Also, not all the pictures were to frame which was a bummer. Luckily we had an open bar so I'm hoping guests didn't feel as much awkwardness as we did.A plus was that I forgot to include a flash drive to bring to him that day to put all the pictures on, but he had one that he threw in with the binder where the prints were. I thought that was very nice of him and I greatly appreciate it--although there weren't many prints on it. We had more in our book so I am not sure where the missing ones are. Long story longer... use Photo Booth R Us if you're on a very tight budget and have a casual party. Shawn will definitely bring up the mood. Do not hire him for a wedding. read more

I hired these guys for my daughters 10th birthday party at a bowling alley and it was awesome! Sean was so fun and took charge the moment he walked in getting everything set up.He was a wonderful help getting people ready and helping them with poses! He told me to bring a thumb drive and a photo album. While the girls were all in and out of the booth his assistant started in on our birthday scrapbook. Two pictures came out one for our scrapbook and one for the birthday guests to take home. My daughter plays soccer so he had her team colors,name and birthday on the bottom of all of the photos. We got a thumbdrive of all of the photos we took and were able to use them for our social media :) For the price I was extremely impressed! I would hire him again! read more

Shawn was great! We recently used Photo Booth R Us for a Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony we had that included 5 couples renewing their vows at once. The photo quality was perfect, the props were great, and people obviously enjoyed themselves taking photos! During one of the dances when the couple that were married the longest were given center stage (55+ years!) and so adorable; Shawn walked up to them and put flowers around their necks from his props and it was such a personal touch that so pleased the happy couple! I would not recommend these people, 1st Thing they took my payment in full after Sean and talked about paying half deposit, and then other half day of event. 2nd Talked to Sean was suppose to have the half put back into my account and paid day of event, (never happen) 3. Paid in full/booked in March, event was not til April. 4th. Did not hear from this company til the day of event after I reached out to them asking if they were still coming. And 5th lastly they ended up putting the wrong event date on my daughter's picture's, so now we have a life time of pictures all with the wrong date. They are reasonable priced but they is others out there that will match their prices and wont make you feel rushed and with more confidence in their work. I had the WORST experience that I have EVER had with this company. Shawn cancelled on me TWO HOURS INTO the graduation party. He promised he would refund me the money, however the refund took months. I called, emailed, and texted numerous times. He either lied through his teeth promising me time and time again that I would receive my refund, came up with every excuse in the book for why I hadn't gotten it, or straight up ignored my attempts to reach him. It wasn't until I threatened to take him to small claims court that he finally, 3 months later, PARTIALLY refunded me. I wasted so much time and energy trying to get my money back.
