We use On the Move petcare every time we leave town. They are a great service and are very reliable. They have a very, very quick response time. I love the notes we get after each visit. They are also very flexible and attuned to your pet's needs. For example, when we were gone for a longer stretch of time, the sitter recomended longer visits based on our cat's behavior, and they were able to make that change easily. I also feel like the folks taking care of out cat genuinely enjoy spending time with him, and it feels good to leave him in the care of people who genuinely appreciate him and care like we do! read more

Excellent service. Highly recommend. My 2 cats were very well cared for and the communication while we were away was great. Will definitely use again! Kitty B. read more

Sent multiple emails trying to get them to even look at my two small dogs for weekday walking/visits. Could not get timely responses and ultimately couldn't get anyone to even come and look at my dogs for a visit. I wouldn't waste your time trying to get them hired. They clearly aren't interested in your business. read more

Peace of Mind! i had plans to travel and when things changed for coverage for my foster dog, On the Move Pet Care came through. They knew just how to help him get comfortable with having new people come in the house to take care of him. In fact, this turned out to be a wonderful socialization experience for him. I received reassuring, detailed reports on how he is doing and am really grateful to Paula, Lisa, Alyssa, Hillary, Doug and the team! read more

I have been using OTM for a couple years to take care of my three pups 14, 12 and 5 when I go away until I found this service I never went anywhere since I had no one to watch them. Two of my pups take medication and I always feel confident they are receiving good care. They always try to accommodate my request for specific sitters even on short notice. I love the updates they send with pics when I am away. Great service I don't hesitate to recommend them. read more

On the Move Pet Care - Little Man 5, Ebony 12 and Lucy 14. - Dog Walkers Near Me

We love On the Move! We are lucky enough to have Lisa as our primary walker. Our dog absolutely adores her, and we love getting funny, thoughtful messages/photos about their walks. Lisa has become so integral to our family, regularly going above and beyond to ensure Josie is happy and healthy. We recently welcomed a newborn into our family, and we credit Lisa with making sure our dog feels happy, loved, and well-exercised throughout the transition period! (Lisa even got us adorable matching outfits for our dog and baby.) It might not be the least expensive option but it is worth every penny knowing our dog is getting the best care/attention. They have been able to accommodate our long work hours and were even able to schedule a last-minute walk when we had an emergency come up. The best pet services in town! read more

My dogs and I LOVE On The Move! My travel schedule changes constantly for work and they have been able to accommodate every single last minute change. I don't know what I'd do without them!! It is comforting to know that the same girl, Alyssa, comes out each time and writes me a note to share how the visit went. I also love to get text pictures and funny tidbits about the goofballs. I can tell she truly cares about Cooper and Ferdinand and gives them lots of love, treats, and attention. We typically have 30 minute, mid-day visits and sometimes an additional visit at 5 or 6pm with dinner if I have a long work day. The prices are VERY reasonable and I like how flexible they are with time slots. I highly recommend this service! read more

I've been using OTM for 3 years when I have to be out of town. I have multiple senior dogs and cats and have been very satisfied with the care they get. I get updates with pictures after every visit and know my crew is getting the best of care. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Their service was cheaper than boarding and with a blind dog I couldn't leave her in a kennel. The peace of mind of having them at home is priceless. Having the ability to schedule service and pay invoices through their online portal is very convenient. read more

We have been using OTM for years - the best! The staff are caring, reliable, problem solvers who have helped us with various issues that inadvertently came up while we were away. From pool filter noises, to alarm system low-battery beeping, to waiting for a locksmith to open a forgotten door...always willing to go the extra mile to help us sleep better while away. Thank you OTM! read more

My instructions were ignored and I came home to a big mess. My cat couldn't get to his food and water because my instruction to keep the kitchen door to the basement open for him was ignored; the door was closed. I wondered how many times it had been reversed and he couldn't get to his litter box in the basement. My elderly dog was in the living room and had peed all over the carpet. I had asked she be behind a baby gate to the bedroom hallway so she could go into any bedroom, but not have access to the living room. Because she is older, I thought she might have an accident and I wanted to prevent a mess in the living room. On one of the mornings the sitter was over two hours late to take my dogs out and feed them and my cat. I was sent videos of my older dog listless and I considered coming home early. My sister went to my home to check on my pets. She said they were fine, but later told me that she felt they seemed a bit stressed; she knew I would be home the next day and didn't want me to cut my vacation time with my family short. The sitter couldn't get my older dog to go out one day and then the younger one didn't want to go out either. There was also a mess in the room my dogs stay in and I wondered if the sitter had ever cleaned up a dog mess. At least there were no accidents where any of my pets were hurt or got away and they probably would have been more stressed if I had boarded them at a kennel or at the vet's. I was not offered any kind of compensation or refund. read more

Recently used On the Move Pet Care to watch our three dogs for five nights. Could not be happier with the service. We opted for sitter to stay overnight from 8 PM to 8 AM, and two visits during the day. Great communication - we received texts and pictures every day! Came home to very happy & spoiled dogs! We are definitely using this company again. (Don't know why Yelp is saying I am from San Francisco - we are in the Rochester NY area.) read more

I've been using On the Move Pet Care for about a year now and I've always had the best experience. Using the client portal is so convenient and makes scheduling appointments & communicating with my cat sitter so easy. They have taken the worry out of leaving my cat behind when we travel. Shout out to Alyse for being the best & sending the best photos of Otto while we're away! :) read more

Awesome service. The best part is that everything is scheduled and paid through the online portal. All walk reports/photos are recorded in the portal and sent via email and text. Walkers are very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend On the Move. read more

Great reliable & caring pet care service. I've not used them in a while (thus 4 stars) BUT know their there & would not use anyone else for our fur family. Keep up the good work. read more

Great service, great people! My wife and I had never employed a dog walking service (though On The Move does much more than that) and weren't sure what to expect. Prior to starting their service, they came over to visit our pups while my wife was home to introduce themselves and get to know our dogs. They asked a lot of questions and it was clear that they were thoughtful and caring about our pets and our house! Each walk/visit includes a detailed note to discuss what they did and if there were any concerns about our dogs. Its fun to see these when we get home from work! Communicating with On the Move is very easy and they quickly respond to any concerns. They are highly recommended! read more

I just used OTM Pet Care for the first time for a feral kitten I have been caretaking for several months. They accommodated these special needs perfectly. We had daily reports and pictures by Kathryn, who was quick enough to catch sight of this very shy kitty...we were so pleased and reassured by this while out of town for a few days, and won't hesitate to use this service again. read more

I love the peace of mind knowing that my kitty is well taken care of while we are away. I know she is because I get photos of her texted to me every day! That's the best part. This service has been a life-saver and their approach is very personal. Warm fuzzy feelings all around. read more

On the Move is a wonderful company that I've been using for the last four years. I've also moved four times in the last four years and they've followed me each time and kept up with visits seamlessly. They are incredibly responsible and flexible, and my dog is so excited every time his walker arrives! I have much more peace of mind when I go out of town having OTM watch my dog, knowing he is well taken care of and getting all of the exercise and love he needs. I would recommend this company to anyone with pets big or small! read more

They absolutely deserve a five-star review. Their portal is easy to use to schedule appointments; my cats were well taken care of (and I got pictures via email); the manager was super accommodating; and with multiple sitters available, I always got what I needed, when I needed it, even on short notice. What's not to like? I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a pet sitter in Rochester! read more

An amazing service that I didn't know existed in Rochester! I leave for work early in the morning and am not always able to make it home to let my dog out during the day. I signed up for midday walks and now I'm covered Monday through Friday. Plus when I go out of town On The Move rates beat paying for a kennel and my dog gets to stay in my house without the hassle of boarding. read more

When my schedule changed and lined up with my girlfriend's and we were not able to walk our Rottie mid-day anymore, we knew we needed to find a solution. I'd heard great things about OTM and figured we'd give it a shot. From the onboarding procedure up till now (a year later) we have been thoroughly impressed!! We receive an email note after every visit, many times with a picture of our pooch. In all honesty, I never thought a dog walking company would be so professional and sophisticated! All of the billing information is online, you can add and remove walks with ease and they are incredibly responsive to emails. If you love your dog like we do and want the absolute best care for them, OTM is it. Oh and one other minor detail, they have better pricing than anywhere else I've checked!! read more

Great service, very reliable. I have a cat with chronic asthma, which requires the inhaler twice a day everyday. And On the Move Pet Care let's me go out of town for the weekend or longer vacation with no worries. Their service charge is very affordable, the sitters are willing to learn more about your pets! And they always take pictures of you pet and keep you updated! Im glad I found on the move Pet care and they are the only one I will always get pretty sitting service in town! Definitely recommended. But be sure to have an extra set of keys to your house/apt since they usually hold on to the keys. I didn't have a spare key the first time I used the service and had to pay extra just to get my apt key back (key drop off service) . I wasn't informed about this at all so I had to go make a copy of my keys by the time I needed the pet sitting service again. But they are nice people and work hard, trustful :) I'd recommend to use their service with no doubt! read more

Very professional and convenient pet sitter! They have an app that makes it so easy to schedule services. I have used them for cat and dog sitting services - highly recommend! read more

We have been with On The Move since it's inception in 2013! Bethany came to our house and met with us, to learn about our dogs (really, they're our kids, let's be real), and we came to an agreement on what we were looking for and what she had to offer. Fast forward now to 2018 and our original girls have passed on and we are now onto 3 new ones! And OTM has been right there with us every step of the way! Two crazy dog moms with special needs "kids", and they have always been respectful of our force free training methods, kind and courteous to our ever changing needs, more than understanding about last minute cancellations or "oh my god I forgot to request this date, can it be done?!?", and honestly they are almost like family to us! The last time I wrote a review was in 2014...4 years later, still love these guys! I refer everyone to OTM! Aside from great care for us and the kids, Bethany is wonderful at having fun with social media (like them on Facebook; she does treasure hunts in the summer!) and many of the dog-walkers/pet visitors do send photos of your kids during the day and may even text you updates! 5 years with Bethany and On The Move Pet Care and we wouldn't change it! read more

These guys are great! I only use this service when I go out of town, and they take fabulous care of my cat. They took the time to come out to my home first, taking extensive notes on what a visit would entail & where everything was. They are reliable & seem genuinely excited to be doing the work they're doing. The rates are reasonable, and I appreciate that there are lots of choices for length of the visit. Best of all, I got text photos of my cat while I was away, which was a great surprise. read more

We just came back from having Laura sit for our cat for a week, and we couldn't be happier! We came home and she had even done a few stray dishes in the sink--she also kept the whole feeding and litter area so clean! Laura was amazing at sending us updates (and pictures!) every feeding (twice a day!) for the entire week we were gone, which made us feel very in the loop. We will absolutely be using them again! read more

I really can't say enough great things about this service. My husband and I both work strange shifts and sometimes we need help taking care of our chocolate lab. When we decided to sign up for their service, Bethany, the owner came out to us on a Sunday and had us fill out the paperwork. There were so many questions about our dog's habits, schedule, personality traits, specific training goals, etc. It was very thorough and well thought out. Since having the dog walkers come to our home, I'm even more impressed. They are available any time, even with relatively short notice. All I have to do is send an email requesting times for him to be walked, and they respond almost immediately letting me know he will be taken care of. Their rates are also completely reasonable. They have a system where you pay monthly for all of the walks/services they have provided. It's very streamlined and makes everything so much easier. We will definitely continue to use their services in the future. They are a great choice for busy pet owners. read more
