Saw this little drive-thru coffee stop near my hotel for the week and decided to give it a try on one of my mornings. I was actually a little nervous the one morning I pulled up, since the line was almost to the street, but the line moved SO fast. I ordered a large refresher that was packed with ice -- I couldn't even insert a straw. When I asked for some ice to be removed, it came back diluted and still underfilled by about a quarter. This place is great if you need a quick coffee in like 2-3mins. The way I see this place is kind of like the fast food of coffee. U just drive through, order, and receive your coffee immediately when reaching the window. However the coffee itself was not very good. It did the job, however if you are coming here for any other reason besides just trying to get some caffeine before work, this place probably isn't the best choice. It was very watery and the flavors were kind of dull. So again, don't come here if you are wanting a really good cup of coffee, as you probably won't get that. I love supporting my local vendors vs commercial vendors most of the time. I asked for large tea with very little ice and was told I would only get a half a cup full. Tea is more water than anything else. I understand if it had alcohol that they had to measure but tea. They wanted me to pay for a large half cup for regular price. As many stamped cards I have I refuse to return. Other facilities have not had no problem serving me a large tea with no ice. DO NOT GET AN ICED DRINK! I asked for a green tea with no ice. They said they can't do that, so I asked for light ice. I was given a cup so packed with ice the first straw broke trying to get it in. It's the cheapest thing to make. I am completely lost for words and do not understand. I can not have extremely cold drinks because of many oral surgeries but there was no negotiation. This is not the first time this has happened. Its also extremely expensive so a cup of ice and a few sips of plain tea. Hot items are good. Staff is nice. Iced drinks are a total scam. read more

They also have their version on a pup cup like Starbucks but they include a little bone too!!! Get it bone free for your kiddos and they love it as well!! AWFUL EMPLOYEES!! I am enraged! The customer service is absolutely diabolical. If I could give this place 0-stars, I would! The staff was mocking, and so rude and told me they didn't have time for me and my friends to pay separately, so I paid for the ENTIRE bill. They proceeded to argue with me when they forgot a drink I ordered. I left with no receipt. To make things worse, they charged me for one of the orders that was already paid for. This a welcomed change to Boerne especially since Starbucks is overpriced, not located in a convenient location and along with Black Rifle Coffee Company who are overpriced and overrated. On the Grind prices are less than these two mentioned above and their coffee products are superior. Although the same incident regarding waking up to place an order as opposed to using the drive through option occurred where the employee told us we couldn't use the walk up option after we had previously used that option. We will continue to support On the Grind, but On the Grind management if you care about customer service and monitor what customers are saying, get rid of the ridiculous rule about customers not being able to order at the walk up window unless they are from an adjacent business or waking along Main Street. News flash.... there are no local stores along Main Street where On the Grind is located. Don't hassle customers and let them use the walk up window if that is their preference or this nonsensical rule will continue to irritate customers and just cause them to take their business and money elsewhere. If it weren't for this, On the Grind would have received five stars and a more favorable review. read more

Originally took to this place as alternative to my usual spot as it's conveniently on Main St. However, one day I used the walk up window to order, which I usually had done in past. As I was paying, the young person advised me not use the walk up window. I said excuse me, as I thought I heard wrong. But nope, I was told if I drive up I have to use drive thru. I asked them why have walk up window? I was told it's for jiffy lube workers next door or people walking along Main Street! Made no sense to me so i just paid & left. I underestimated the quickness! I just had a few minutes to grab a quick coffee, and the drive-thru seemed long. I walked up to the window, hoping that would be faster. Been coming here since this place opened because this is my wife's favorite place to get smoothies. I stopped after work and was trying to get home to my family. It was not busy, so there was one car in front of me. So, I waited patiently! Then, two cars got behind me. The girl at the window served the person who was in front of me and she paid. Used to really love this place . The last 5 times I have gotten frozen coffee from here it has been watery and I have also been given regular coffee when it was clearly stated to be decaf. I've been going because I'm obsessed with the dragon fruit & lychee drink with coconut milk and lemonade ! I love their coconut joy coffee because it reminds so much of my favorite candy which is almond joy ! My husband and I have gone 3 times this past week ! We didn't have an issue whatsoever with customer service ! They were all so helpful and nice even in the evening ! I live like 7 mins away and I couldn't believe the reviews ... it's a small coffee shop and it's crazy that people order so many drinks and ask to pay separately in the drive thru !
