I went to this Labcorp for blood work. It went relatively smoothly. You have to use a kiosk to…read morecheck in when you get there. For me this was simple and easy to do. But I could see how an elderly person or someone who might have cognitive issues might struggle with this. You're instructed to check in using the kiosk. Period. I was called to the front desk to put my credit card on file in case my insurance company wouldn't pay for my labs. This is something new since the last time I was there. I complied and within a few minutes I was called to have my labs done. The phlebotomist was very friendly and nice. She did a great job finding my vein and I didn't hardly feel the needle go in. That part of my visit was five stars. Overall, it was a very good experience. I just personally think someone should sign people in at the front desk as well as have the kiosk available for others, just in case someone might struggle with using the kiosk.

The win: we got the draw. The first phlebotomist listened…read morewhen I asked for butterfly but the request to find it before going in was acknowledge unfortunately it wasn't done. Started left. Tried right. Utilized the vein finder machine which I had only heard of but never seen or had it used on me. Yet here I am with a bloody arm and I felt stick #2. Stick 3 was fiercer and that's where we got the viles filled and now you'll see the bloodshed afterwards via my pictures below. I usually don't allow 3 sticks nor digging to find my vein as I'd had a lump from one bad draw abroad in 2024 and a horrid experience with a. IV in 2000 with a RN that resulted in having to change the bedsheets. See, 2000 and know that's how traumatizing it was and remains to date. Phlebotomy is a science and an art. Pain shouldn't happen nor excessive bleeding neither a bump under the skin from a rough draw. But it feels like that's the attitude here... Pain or not, so long as we get it done. I wish Novant didn't use said 3rd party because they don't upload results on my chart per the tech. I'll sign up with LabCorp. Holy smokes Batman. Posting June 12, 2026 and this incident took place 1 year ago. I returned today to give them another try and promptly left for the W. Mallard Creek location as the catterwalling and giggling told me nothing has changed. C'est la vié
