The , founder and owner, always knew just what you wanted. After having my little Princess, Sara; I shopped Carousel for all of her dresses and thanks to the owners exceptional service:; me and my daughter fell in love with the high quality and wholesome goodness offered at The Carousel. Every time we popped in to take a look at what was new, the owner always had my Sara"s something special hanging behind the register in a dress bag waiting for us; as if we called! The Spirit of God lived in this lady; which she shared with the community and has grown her store through the years. Later, I enrolled my little Princess Data into Private School and was troubled in being able yo gain the uniform. And as I walked into The Carousel to get her dress, the lady,owner I had been dealing with all of these years had it st the cash desk, already, God spoke to her. I never called to ask about the Uniform. Then, The Carousel began having them regularly. Sara, loved shopping at the Carousel; the owner helped her try things on and added decorative socks and head bands. Dara often said, 'its like going to grandmas house with everything in my size! This lady made shopping for those very special once in your child's life moments so extra special, flawless, high quality exceptional beyond belief personalized service. Later, I had a son. Joshua and my Sara was set on us shopping for him st her dress shop as it became known. Joshua, was raised in shopping at The Carousel, for his suits, every day clothes and Holiday, special occasion. He, like my daughter quickly became spoiled and a custom to The Carousels high end quality, exceptional service directed at a parents needs and the child's desires. As a mom, I found this to be cute. My son found the play and wait area beneficial, as girls may take longer to try things on. And often, the owners husband would be sitting in a chair keeping watch on the young fellow. I was grateful! Although, my daughter and son, no longer wear The Carousel clothing sizes,; I am proud to say, so very excited to say and share with all if you, I am now shopping for my very first Grand Daughter, Victoria and get first Christmas Dress; which allows me to return to The Carousel and embrace high end quality and wholesome goodness again. And most of all spoil my little Victoria! Now, if my daughter can decide on red or pink, I can go crazy. Because the daughter, of original owner had just the dress behind the register last night; I know it was meant for my grand daughter. The same as it had been for over 25 years. So many thank you to the family that works in The Carousel, for dedication to our community. And for the original owners vision and obedience to God, in following through on the vision he gave her that has blessed many families for generations. No radio, no tv, no MuZak, no clock ticking or outside traffic... nothing. I happened to stroll over because the bakery next door was out of tamales. I asked about hatchets and machetes and, from behind the counter, he pointed to the back wall and some other area. I took a tour of the store three times and eventually came back nearer to the counter and asked again. Again he gestures and tells me there's a "whole row" of hatches "over there". By the time I actually found them on the back wall, there were only two in the camping area, so was no wonder I couldn't quite locate them. The machetes were behind the counter, turns out. He mentioned the prices. Last couple questions were about Army blankets and whether he offered a military discount, which he answered politely enough. No military discount, ironically. I'm not sure if the guy is lazy or has a bad foot/knee or doesn't like to walk or interact but he doesn't have nearly enough clients to justify being so disengaged. Not sure what he's distracted behind that counter doing, but it sure isn't selling anything. Much of the merchandise I remember from my days in service (canteen kits, camos, hats) so it seems pretty authentic while other merch is kind of weekend warrior/camping type stuff, so there's a nice mix. Army green wool blanket (64x80 stamped "US" on it = $35.99. I may actually return to purchase this considering the ones on Amazon appear so cheaply made by comparison. The stuff here is only a few bucks more expensive than anything I've seen online. Interesting store. Don't be prepared to get WoW'd with much service or conversation though.

Hats are great quality, but the stitched logo is poor quality and sloppily done. The owner told us the uniforms would be made locally, which is ultimately why we went through them to support the local manufacturer. Turns out that they were manufactured elsewhere and shipped in with the incorrect color scheme. Communication is horrible as they dont respond to emails (after receiving payment). When you call they are rather rude. Asked when the uniforms pending would arrive and the response was "your guess is as good as mine" Beware of hidden credit card fees. If it's too good to be true, run away..
