My dental hygienist Irena is phenomenal and does a full check up to see if you have any signs of mouth cancer while checking your lymph nodes. found this spot thru YELP and after running it by my insurance we locked in a teeth cleaning appt. it's located in a large building with a lot of different businesses but the unit itself is not hard to find if you just read the directory. try to find street parking, if not then you will be paying a $15-30 fee to park in their garage. such a scam. the dentistry is professional and clean. i checked in and was in the chair within 15mins. Dr. Farahmand got down to business and was quick and efficient with my cleaning. he went over my x-rays and answered all my questions with detail and honestly - which is always appreciated. so far i'm a fan of this location and look forward to coming back in six months. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Farahmand and his team. Both times I went (once for a dental cleaning and the other for a cavity refill), staff were genuinely friendly, helpful and I felt comfortable. The wonderful lady at the front desk always has a smile on her face. As for Dr. Farahmand, he is an EXCELLENT dentist. I am pleased with my results so far even though it's only been a few hours since I had the procedure done (I had a cavity refilled). I couldn't believe how fast the procedure was (finished in less than 25 minutes). I didn't feel any pain with the anesthetic injection given and everything went smoothly. As for the dental cleaning I received several weeks prior, he did the cleaning himself and it was definitely a more thorough cleaning than any other dentist I've had. But beyond that is his friendly lowkey vibe, he's personable without overdoing it, I love his work demeanor, the way he talks you thru a process or procedure, and that he's efficient but not rushed, and gentle as can be. Dr. Farahmand and his team are fantastic. The dentist is never my favorite place, but I know that I'm in good hands here. They also do a great job of explaining why they recommend certain things and the importance of your home oral care. In his West Hollywood office, you have a lovely view while you receive your cleaning. Note that parking is in a structure with a valet, so be prepared to pay for that if you choose to use it. read more

Has my first check up and routine cleaning Dr Omid was super professional. The cleaning was more thorough than most that I recall and I was happy about that. Great lighting inside the booths. The personnel at Dr. Farahmand's Arcadia office are friendly, courteous and efficient. Cindy, the office manager? is a real gem. I'd imagine a few of these reviews were bought. 85 5-star reviews.. yea right. Here's my experience: I visited a different dentist in West Hollywood and got X-rays from there. I decided to switch dentists to Omid Farahmand. Boy, was that a mistake. When I got there, they requested the X-rays from the previous dentists office. They then told me the X-rays were "unsatisfactory" so they'd need to take more X-rays (aka: more money). Then, when the new X-rays came in, they told me I'd need a deep cleaning. Fair enough. I hadn't been to the dentists office in over a year so that made sense and no issues there. They went over the pricing with me letting me know what the insurance would cover and what I'd be responsible for. The deep cleaning was supposed to be partially covered by the insurance and I would pay the remainder (which I did - up front - at the dentists office). Come to find out, a month later, I'm slammed with the full bill for the deep cleaning. I call the insurance and they tell me that the X-rays didn't show sufficient bone loss. I call the receptionist and she tells me they submitted the proper X-rays and it should have been covered. They treat based on what the patient needs in terms of dental work. But you're telling me, you have TWO sets of X-rays, (the second of which you probably didn't need), but neither one was sufficient evidence of a need for a deep cleaning to the insurance?! Then it is your fault for not taking the proper x-rays yet you want to stick me with the bill?! And when I called the receptionist she tells me that if the insurance company won't cover the cost then I'll be responsible for the remainder. Why didn't she explain, when she went over pricing, that a deep cleaning may be deemed unnecessary by the insurance if they don't have the proper evidence of bone loss. Why not go over what insurance covers and what might become my responsibility should there be, I don't know, faulty X-rays on your part.. Nothing discussed and when I spoke with her she says "well it was written on the paperwork" OKAY. Won't be back. Will be calling this week to get copies of the paperwork and X-rays to submit to a new dentist and will be seeking any recourse I can through the proper channels to show malpractice. Don't go here. Also no small talk, no pleasantries, nothing. Everyone I encountered had a weirdly sour attitude. Not a great dentist and I'm stuck with a huge bill. Thanks a lot Omid! Reply: you did take new X-rays. I have the paperwork in front of me. You said that the last dentist I visited didn't take sufficient X-rays and so I agreed for you to take new X-rays. Regardless, it is your responsibility as the provider to either take sufficient X-rays or use the ones given to provide proof to the insurance of need for the care you recommended. At no point did the front desk receptionist explain anything regarding pricing variability due to insurance not covering the procedure but yes, it is in the paperwork. Perhaps to avoid a person feeling as though they've been duped, you could have the receptionist explain these things rather than have fine print and sign off. The only information i got was what the pricing was, highlighted, on my paperwork, of what I'd need to pay through my FSA. Do better! read more

I've been seeing Dr. Farahmand for a couple of years now, and honestly he and the entire staff have been great. I've had some pretty intense dental issues to deal with, and the entire team has been so great addressing them without making me feel like I need to do it all once (and go broke, you know what I mean?). Another thing I'd add is that the staff is very inclusive and accepting. I've left many doctor's offices feeling judged (either for being queer, or larger, or whatever), but I've never felt that way here. read more

I believe this is my 3rd review for Dr. Farahmand in 3-4 years. Yesterday I had a routine cleaning and as I was reclining in the chair, I was thinking of how much I appreciate Dr. Farahmand and his "chairside manner." Not only do I always feel at home and well taken care of, but also seen and known. He genuinely expresses care for me as an individual who happens also to be his patient, not just as a patient who happened along. I'd also like to say that at 62, he is the first dentist who has really inspired me to be more attentive to the best care of my teeth. This doesn't mean, of course, that I didn't care about my teeth previously, but as a direct result of Dr. Farahmand's ability to connect in a genuine way with me, I'm making a genuine effort to put his advice into daily practice. And yesterday I learned that this is paying off. My home dental care habits, he said, were clearly working out well. In short, he's the best dentist in town! I found Dr. Omid Farahmand office in 2019 and immediately wished I had found them years ago. They are a very efficient, professional and friendly office. In 2020, I moved to Orange Country and sadly had to find a new dentist that was closer in my city. I tried a couple of different dentist offices and neither of them were the caliber of Dr. Farahmand.
