The restaurant was less crowded than last time, I guess because schools are back in session. My sandwich arrived promptly. I gobbled a couple of bites down, before realizing I had wanted to take some pictures. Oh well, take my word for it - the sandwich was fabulous. A thick piece of grouper with beautifully blackening on a toasted roll with lettuce, red onion and Jonah's sauce. The fries were hot, the slaw could've used some seasoning. The golf ball sized hush puppy was moist on the inside and crispy outside. Great flavors. Very attentive server. Checked back several times and refilled my tea. It was pricey for lunch - $47 with tip. I don't mind paying for outstanding food!

As listed in the name itself, this place is known for their fish and grits. Let me tell you.. it didn't disappoint at all. I would definitely return back for their fish & grits. I also tried their gator bites appetizer which was good too. Only complaint it wasn't seasoned but it was fried to perfection. I still enjoyed it. The reason I will rate this restaurant a 4 star is due to their menu items being basically all listed as "market price". I understand it's seafood and it's expensive but that's how you get a unexpected high bill. My gator bites appetizer was $24 which was expensive for a small appetizer. I settled in for the fried shrimp, sweet potato fries and coleslaw, while Dawn had the Greek-shrimp salad. We were served quickly and the shrimp was fresh and cooked nicely. I like my fries just a little more crispy than what I received, but they weren't bad. The slaw was good, with just a hint of dill in the mix. Dawn absolutely loved her salad, it was seasoned just right according to her. Everyone was friendly, the waitress made sure we were okay, and the ambience was good. It's a little pricey for everyday dining, but it was definitely worth the price. Give George and Louie's a try if you are in the Thomasville Ga. Area!

Food: I ordered the blue cheese burger, tots, and an ice tea. With tax, $18.33 The burger was very tasty, but it's barely bigger than a slider. The photo I took shows a normal tot in relation to the burger. Tots: cooked right and a good portion. Tipping: optional, and I'm still not sold on tipping for counter service. But here, they do bring it to your table. The issue is the credit card screen; you have 4 options: 20%, 25%, 30%, and "no tip". As I didn't have the option to choose less than 20%, I chose no tip. (Did cash tip the server though) Food good. Service good, value and portion not so much.

We stumbled upon this place after not wanting to wait the long wait at our fave spot, Jonah's. It was sort of hard to tell if it was open or not but we quickly learned that it was and decided to give it a try. It looked pretty empty upon walking in, but that's also because the layout is interesting. Our server was nice, when we saw him which wasn't much. Food wise, it could've been better but again, wasn't the absolute worst. I did the build a sampler with 3 items from the appetizer menu to include fried cheese sticks, fried calamari, and popcorn shrimp. The calamari was unseasoned and I didn't like the breading. The cheese sticks seemed to use old cheese. The shrimp were pretty okay, I'd probably get those if I were to go back again. My mom had a boil with just headless shrimp that came with corn and potatoes. I had her corn and it was not done enough or seasoned well. Overall, the experience could've been better.

We were warmly greeted and seated immediately. Our server was super nice, and very patient as we went over the menu deciding what to order. Unfortunately, aside from the seafood boils, there are no items on the menu that include broiled/grilled/blackened, etc. food items. Almost everything is fried! Note, there is salad and a small number of veggies on the menu. But, it is ok to "indulge" every now and then! :o) My mom ordered the Flounder with coleslaw and sweet potato fries; I had shrimp tacos and sweet potato fries. My daughter and one of my sisters both ordered the shrimp and sausage boil; and my other sister had catfish, shrimp, and cajun fries. We started the meal off with the sampler (cheese sticks, chicken fingers, shrimp, hushpuppies). We also ordered the beignets (two orders) and decided to have those come out with the appetizers! Sometimes, it is good to eat your dessert first! LOL! All in all, we enjoyed our meal; everything tasted fresh and was really good. There was a minor issue with my check/bill, but the manager resolved it quickly. Though this restaurant will probably not be on my list of "favorites" (due to the menu full of fried items), I am sure I will visit another time just to try one of the seafood boils. However, I will certainly recommend this place to others - especially those who are in the mood for fried foods.
