Assorted donuts

Picked up donuts this morning and received great service from the sweet young lady at the counter! She was so patient with our indecision and we finally chose our dozen donuts and she packed everything well. The donuts were delicious! The Asian family making the donuts do a wonderful job keeping the donuts light and fluffy and glazing them properly to achieve a nice clear shiny glaze!

This place is a hidden gem. I just happened to see a sign at the end of the road one day and have been going there each time that "got to have a donut" urge hits. It is a small shop but offers a wide assortment of donuts and drinks. The store is very clean and bright, and all the staff I have met have been friendly and courteous. We picked up a dozen assorted donuts for our granddaughter and her overnight guest. To get a dozen assorted donuts, it costs $14.99 right now which is the going rate, which is cheaper than Indy. They did run out of glazed donuts this time so to insure you get your favorite, try to go early! This donut shop is so much better than getting donuts from grocery stores. There really is no comparison, they are all freshly made that day and we have never been disappointed. I have been known to sneak a few of their donut holes on the drive home. There is no drive-thru at this location. Later in the day, I tried a plain glazed donut that was solid in the middle, i.e. no hole. OMG puts the filing in the donuts after you chose your filing, not ahead of time. But this donut had no filing. I was surprised how much I liked it with no filing. I loved it so much I had a second one.

Still lovely! The employees and overs are so nice. The latte I assume is what I would call a cuban. The espresso definitely came across as such and they automatically add a sweetened syrup. I probably would've loved it if this was my expectation, but I was in the mood for something slightly different so didn't enjoy it quite the same at the time. Donuts still good.

Friendly staff, great selection of of donuts, pastries to choose from. Honestly everything in the case looked good. I wanted to sample it all. I'll have to come back and try some of the other flavors. Today I walked away with a red velvet cake donut & an apple fritter. Mrs daughter went with a maple glazed & a chocolate glazed. The donuts were delicious and I look forward to trying more in the future. Also noteworthy is that they serve kolaches, which I haven't seen in Lexington before. I'd like to try one to compare to the great one that I had in Texas.

This tiny place is obviously popular. There was a line out the door. I perused the showcase, listening to the orders. The Tigertail seemed a popular choice, and it was a good one. This glazed donut had a cinnamony swirl in it. I only bought the one as it was my breakfast. Close donuts can be a dangerous thing. 97

First time trying this establishment. My first impression of this is a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde mishmash. On the one hand, the chocolate donut with the chocolate icing should have been tossed out two days okay as it was dry and hard. Big no. But the glazed donut was soft and light and airy. So that's a yes. The bacon, egg and cheese biscuit appears to be a canned biscuit in size and consistency (even has the flaky layers you see in a refrigerated canned biscuit) -- so, that's a pass. The croissants on the other hand are tasty and good consistency, so that was okay. They serve gravy and biscuits that look like gravy and biscuits so that's a plus for this Appalachian girl. But they failed to send any utensils and I'm not eating gravy with my hands so that's a big no and nothing else was worth writing home about, sadly. Ps. When I did try the gravy and biscuits it did indeed appear to be that they use a refrigerated canned biscuit and what tasted like gravy from a mix. Not horrible but not restaurant quality either. The price at first appeared good at two donuts, two sandwiches and a small gravy biscuit for just 20.00 - but when you consider the quality and what you're getting or not getting - it's not a bargain in the long run. Overall, I was disappointed. I mean the place is called OMG donuts for Pete's sake. With a name like that, you need consistent and amazing donuts across the board and they just can't deliver on that, sad to say. Bottom line - my advice, For donuts... skip this place and head over to Dunkin. Donuts or just about anywhere else for a better variety and quality. If you're nearby and hungry, then it might be worth stopping in for a croissant or gravy and biscuit. We Doordashed and won't be choosing this place again because it just didn't have enough positives going for it. Also, in the days of safety and packaging, donuts were dropped unwrapped in a small paper bag, wrapped sandwiches in another small brown bag and biscuits and gravy in a Styafoam container in yet a third brown bag which was stapled. All three of the brown bags were placed in a Plato's bag that was tied up. Wanted to love this one. Just couldn't do it.

I have heard about this place about 2 week ago, but I never got to go. Saturday I had some free time and I decided to go. I was told they had some unique pastries, but I didn't see anything special. I only purchased donut holes. Great deal at 6 for 99 cents. Nothing special. If I'm in mood for donuts, I'm going to Parlor.

OMG Donuts was one of my last stops on my Lexington "Donut Tour" because it's a bit further away from me, but let me tell you, this is not a place to skip out on!! I had my favorite kinds of donuts which are chocolate cream filled long Johns and blueberry cake donuts. The long John was one of the lightest fluffiest donuts I've ever had. The cream was also very good and had a strong vanilla flavor. The blueberry cake donut had a lot of glaze which made it deliciously crispy on the outside but very soft inside. The employees were very friendly and I would definitely love to come back again! I went around 8:30am on a Friday and there were plenty of donuts and no crowd.

We stopped in to get coffee again. My friend got a regular coffee and two glazed donuts. I got the…read moreiced vanilla bean latte and the caramel turtle donut. I must admit when I saw the size of her donuts I laughed because they were so big. Long story short what she got was a cronut not the traditional cake donut. Previously I've had the raspberry filled donut there and it was really good. The caramel turtle is also a cronut. She asked what kind of dough it was my guess was brioche because of the texture. I could be wrong. I liked my donut although it was a little messy to eat . My friend on the other hand didn't care for the cronut. The coffee though is always on point and it didn't disappoint. As for customer service they really are on point. I've been there a total of three times so far and every time they've been friendly and patient. Plenty of seating indoors and on the patio. I think after 1 pm they do donuts made to order (I didn't see the sign when we first walked in until after we placed our order). I just thought they sold out but the woman at the counter told me they do made to order.

One word, Dangerous…read more Parlour Donuts has officially ruined my self-control in the best way possible. These donuts aren't just good, they're dangerously good. The kind where you fully intend to order one... and somehow walk out with two. Or three. The layers are perfectly flaky, the flavors works well well together, and every bite feels like it was engineered to make you say "okay, just one more." Fair warning to anyone with even a shred of restraint: you will lose it the moment you take your first bite.

We decided to try this place based on reviews but left disappointed. The reviews that we had seen…read moremade it seem like a typical donut shop that would have a big variety to pick from. Unfortunately they only had about 5 different pastries to choose from and they did not appear to be freshly made. We ended up leaving empty handed. It was very loud inside and the layout was confusing. People were going different directions to line up so I'm not sure which way you're actually supposed to line up. This place is more like a Starbucks than a donut shop which isn't our vibe.

But the next morning, Hubby was craving donuts so we headed straight to the Greyline Station location. First impression, the interior is much more spacious than I expected! Also, I really dig the music that is played. I inquired about the music, and they were playing Indie Coffee Shop Vibes on Spotify. There are a few cushy chairs to sit in, lots of tables, chairs, a few booths, and a tiny library with children's books about donuts. One wall has a colorful mural, and near one of entrances behind the coffee counter is a poser of Britney Spears with a speech bubble containing the bathroom code. Looking at the donut selection, there was one vegan option. I believe they always carry one vegan option with a rotating flavor. On this particular day, it was a Vegan Snickers Donut. It's a chocolate donut, two icings (one being chocolate), and crushed peanuts. The flavor brought me instand joy! I especially liked the little bit of crisp biting into this cakey donut. Yum! https://bit.ly/4hJoppT I also had a Earl Grey Tea Latte with Almond Milk. Not sure where they get their tea but I was wowed on that first taste. The barista who helped us was welcoming and friendly. I appreciated that she shared her favorites while we were making decisions on what to order. I wish we had an opportunity to visit a second day while visiting Lexington for the week. Will definitely come back the next time we're in town.
