This is one of those times I wish Yelp had either a negative star or a not recommend option. Came in on a Friday to place an order for the following Tuesday. My first clue that this was not going to go well was that I stood at the reception area for a good 5-7mins while the lady in the front desk proceeded to text on her phone and pick up calls instead of attending me. That should of been a red flag. After she finally decided to attend me. I showed her a picture of what I wanted. I wanted a graduation lei. I give her a reference picture. We negotiate a price and I placed the order. This took about 10 minutes in between her continuing to text and answering calls. Even one time hanging up on someone. Tuesday comes, I go to pick up my order. There is another receptionist there. She has no idea about my order. I hand her a hard copy of my order. She is clueless. She asks me who took my order. I describe her the lady to whom she says its the manager. She can't find my order. She texts her about my order and then says it wasn't done because I wanted blue/purple orchids and they can't get that till after 1:30pm. I told her what do you mean I have an order they should of had them come in because I requested to pick up at 11am. She basically tells me well we can cancel the order or I can wait. At this point I have no choice but to wait. I told her I needed it to be ready by 1pm. She agreed. Come back at 1:20 and they proceeded to hand me the most sad excuse for a flower lei. The florist comes out and tries to please me by adding some yellow flowers after hearing me be so upset. I don't recommend this establishment. Reading the reviews I totally believe the good and the bad. I ordered an arrangement fir my mother based on a picture posted by Bloom Nation and Omel Flowers came up as their rep. The flowers my mother received where a very sad looking bunch. I wrote an email to the shop and copied Bloom Nation. Within a few minutes I got a phone call from the manager at Omel Flowers and once I explained the situation and he saw the pics of what I ordered and what my mother received he agreed that the difference was "black and white" (his words). He immediately asked me to give him a chance to make it up to my mom and I accepted. The second arrangement was MUCH nicer and I appreciate the fact that the manager tried to right the wrong. I hate giving a bad review to a Hialeah busines, but my family fled Cuba to be able to speak the truth. We ordered flowers from this company in memorial of my aunt, whose memorial service was tonight. We placed our order online through avasflowers dot com, and they assigned Omel to make the delivery. Being a funeral, we ordered a traditional white bouquet for the 5pm memorial service. After multiple calls, since family members were starting to leave, our flowers arrived late at 9pm. The flowers that arrived were white, purple and wilting. The arrangement looked scrawny compared to the picture on the website. Although we paid for a memorial ribbon with inscription, only a card was on the delivered arrangement. The one star is for the driver, since he was apologetic. However, given our experience tonight and seeing the other reviews, I don't think my family or I will be using this florist again. read more

Will never use this place again paid $125 to have flower send on Mother's Day with balloons. First they left the flower on the door step could have been taken by anyone then there were no balloon. The first photo is what was sent truly subpar the second photo is what I sent my wife for about the same price and it was two of them and they don't leave them at the door step. I called to tell them I was unhappy with the flowers and items were missing the women on the phone sound uninterested said sorry that it was a busy day for them. My husband went out of his way to order flowers for my birthday. He used Ava's flowers online which in turn used Omel Flowers as their "designer". I thought they were pretty until he told me how much he paid. What a disappointment. He was changed $103.93 for an arrangement that was worth $15 tops. I called Ava's and first they told me they would reimburse me $10. I told them I wanted a full refund and would send them pictures. Once they saw the pictures they agreed, apologized and are in the process of working with my credit card company for the full refund. They told me that someone form the flower shop would be by to pick up the unwanted arrangement ... it's been 2 days. They LIED about delivering the flowers and when they did finally deliver the flowers A DAY LATE, they delivered a cheap bouquet that looked nothing like the picture at all! To top things off on the card they put the delivery date of the day before as if they had delivered the day before. I usually don't write reviews but need to make others aware. Have to say Omel flowers is one of the worst businesses I have ever dealt with. Ordered a $200 dollar wreath from Proflowers for my wife's grandmothers funeral services. Not only was the wreath delivered 2 hours late but it looked like it was not worth more than $25 dollars. Called Proflowers furiously and got a refund. The general manager at Omel contacted me the next day with the following email: Dear Simjo, From our team we would like to extend our honest apologizes for the issue we have caused to you and your family during this difficult time. We did not do it intentionally and we hope you understand this. Our driver has informed us that you have contacted ProFlowers with the issue, but besides of what ProFlowers has offered you, we want to make sure we do this right and we want to offer you a in-store credit for the full value of your order for any future purchase you may ever need, as I mentioned before we are deeply sorry and hope to make it better as some point. Shame on FTD for using this low quality florist. Thankfully, we were refunded after they saw the poor quality and mis representation of what was ordered. My fiancé ordered a just because bouquet and I felt so bad and embarrassed to tell him the flowers were awful. This place must know that women feel that way so they think they can get away with it. The $50 bouquet plus $20 delivery fee looked more like a $10 bouquet from Publix or fresh market. In fact, it was way worse than those. The owner did try and make up for it, and sent me another bouquet the next day but it was even worse than the first one I received. Do yourself a favor and read all their reviews. It's for a reason. Hi, I would like to let you know how disappointed I was with your flowers and service. My husband ordered me Valentine's Day flowers through FTD. They were to be delivered on February 14, between 8am-5pm. There were people at my job facility until 7pm and the flowers were still not delivered. My boss came in at 6:15am the next day and the flowers were left outside by the front door overnight. The flowers were soaking wet because the got wet from our sprinklers. The flowers were half dead upon my inspection at 8am. My husband contacted FTD and they tried to reach out to you. As of 2:3opm on Feb. 16th, FTD could not reach you. I must say I was very disappointed and I don't see how any delivery person could leave flowers outside of a closed business like that. read more

Placed order for flowers for Mother's Day delivery one month prior to delivery date. Mother's Day comes and no flowers. I called twice that day, 3:30PM and 5:30 PM to find out what happened to the flowers. Each time was told they were on the way. By this time Mother's Day was all but over. I asked for a refund and a cancellation of the order. The FTD customer rep supervisor agreed to my request. The next day the flowers get delivered. I call FTD to ask about the refund. I am placed on hold for 10 miutes only to be told that the florists says the flowers were delivered on Mother's Day. and they have a signed log stating so. I advised her that the date was altered. The arrangement came a day early. In retrospect, I am glad it did because otherwise I would have been screwed. What they delivered was horrible and embarrassing. It looked like the arrangement came from a grimy gas station. It looked nothing like what I actually ordered, and the rose they used was brown. It was half dead. They actually used weeds in the arrangement. When I called them to request they provide me with what I actually ordered they said ok no problem. HORRIBLE experience. Once Omel sold the flower shop to Maria it has been a disaster. We would use this flower shop to buy arrangements for all sorts of occasions. After attempting to do business with them on multiple occasions, they have lied to me over the phone about the DAY (not the time) the arrangement would be arriving (that has been the latest lie). yes she said it would arrive today and it didn't. After calling back to speak to the owner (Maria) she never attended to me on the phone again, was supposedly busy and never returned my call, as she said she would. Needless to say they have basically lied to me three times, at this point, I am taking my business elsewhere. Find another shop, these people have no business running this place. My daughter just recently graduated University. 3 and a half weeks before her graduation ceremony date my husband and I came over to this shop to create a custom order that we would pick up on her special day as a surprise for her. The arrangement we ordered had beautiful different colored petals and were going to be inscribed. You'd think that with a costly ($120) arrangement a certain level of professionalism or responsibility would come into play. Sadly this was not the case. After waiting for about 3 weeks, I placed a call the day before in order to confirm pick up at 4pm the next day, everything was all set. Then, the day of at around 1pm I called again just as a reminder that I would be going for pick up in a few hours, sure they said. My husband daughter and I stopped by the shop on our way to the ceremony at 6pm and when we arrived, our flowers had not even begun to be made. Needless to say I was outraged. The level of disrespect and unprofessionalism it takes to take a costly payment almost 4 weeks beforehand and confirm MULTIPLE times the pickup date and time and not even START the arrangement is mind boggling. It was a special day for my daughter and was heartbreaking to arrive at her graduation without any flowers. No refund would make up for the anger and frustration felt on what was supposed to be a beautiful surprise on four hard years of studies.
