INCREDIBLE! Was having terrible time finding someone to remodel bathroom. Decided to remove carpet in living room first and have new floor installed. Contacted Omega Flooring as they have storefront, been around a long time and bonus, they are local (not some big national impersonal store). Liked David and Wlanga instantly. Prices are better than competitive. After meeting them at their store, they came out with samples. After seeing some of the other remodels they have done, hired them to do flooring, painting, bathroom remodels. Nothing they ran into fazed David. He and his crew took care of everything. From the crawl space to the attic, they fixed it. New sewer line under house (amazing how good the water flows now). Their care in designing the remodel and coffee bar was greatly appreciated as I can't see the finished product ahead of time. Wlanga is an amazing designer with so many ideas. We love our new home (feels and looks brand new to us). The crew was very talented and cleaned up daily. We are definitely hiring David and crew again for kitchen upgrade and some electrical work. We were extremely pleased with David, Wlonga and his crew of the remodel of our galley kitchen. I was referred to David through a friend, whose bathroom they remodeled. He invited us to view both his bathroom work and his personal kitchen remodel before hiring him as our contractor. David is a very detailed oriented contractor~from the layout/design to the final touches. He oversaw the project from beginning to end and communicated well with us along the way. And the Him and his crew were also considerate of our personal space and cleanliness. As our kitchen connects our family room (where we spend most of our time) and our dining room. The cabinets and hardware which he recommended are excellent quality. Since this was our first kitchen remodel, it was hard for us, at times, to decide on things like tile layout; counter choice etc. David and Wlonga made recommendations that we are So happy with in the final product. My husband is knowledgeable of quality remodel work (as he's done (up to now) all of our remodel work w/ his contractor bff). Overall, we love our kitchen! I walked into Omega Flooring store looking for a wood match for a bedroom flooring DIY project, found what I needed, but also discovered they are licensed do all the jobs I needed done (popcorn ceiling removal, wall painting, and floor installation) and decided it would be best for my retired body to have them do it. NOT JUST FOR FLOORS! In addition to having an extensive amount of flooring options, Omega Floors and Carpet also offers full home improvement services. Besides replacing the flooring in my entire downstairs area, I recently had them remodel my kitchen, which included installing new cabinets, countertops, backsplash, plumbing and lighting. They were able to make some minor changes to the location of my appliances to give me twice as much cabinet and countertop space. They also installed crown molding in the downstairs area; counter tops, sinks, faucets, tile and lighting in the bathrooms; ceiling fans; closet doors; and a patio door. Had an absolutely excellent work experience with Omega Floor & Carpet of Concord, CA! My flooring project was particularly complicated and time consuming and David and his Team did an excellent job in correcting many issues with my home. Also, I desperately needed to paint the interior of the home and quotes and time schedules provided by other vendors failed to meet my reasonable time tables and Omega Floor & Carpet stepped in and got all the painting/ceiling fan replacements done in record time. I honestly wish I could give this place negative stars. While the customer service appears to be satisfactory, there are some holes in it. We are redoing our entire place and went in for hardwood floors. David, the owner, seemed very nice and knowledgable, as he promised the flooring to arrive at my place in 4 days from the purchase. Then, he never called, we had to call him. He stated that he was having a problem with customs. We were understanding. Another week he promised. To make a long story short, we waited almost a month and decided to go elsewhere (Carpet One). From what I know, he owed vendors money and he is a liar. Do not do business there. read more

Stopped into this store after leaving Home Depot today. We picked out our carpet there and showed the owner our quote from Depot. He claimed his carpet was much better quality stainmaster brand and would last much longer. He quoted us $3800 for the job and said he would come out today and measure. We took a sample of the carpet home and everything was perfect. It was $700 more than Depot but we were excited to purchase local and felt we were getting a better value overall. He came out tonight and confirmed the measurement. Everything was as stated. He then excused himself for a moment and came back inside with an inferior product half the quality of the one he sent us home with. After we questioned him, he said oh, I made a mistake when I priced it. You'll have to pay $4500 for the one you want. We questioned him and he said that's the price and I don't commit to prices until I come to your home. He then rudely said I have to go. Let me know if you change your mind. My wife and I looked at each other and thought WOW We were really wrong about this place. The man who came out claimed to be the owner. He's not a good business man and wasn't honest with us. read more

A Happy Customer: David put in tile floors for a friend of mine many years ago. The work was excellent so I used him for some tile work in my bathrooms about 8 years ago and I was very satisfied. This time it was for a much bigger job of putting new flooring in a family room, living room, kitchen , hallway and entry way. The job started on due date and was finished quickly. Being an A type personality I was nervous about all details and I'm the type that likes everything in its place. I c now I never needed to stress. First, note David is a perfectionist, detailed oriented, very knowledgeable , professional and nice to work with....he listens! Day one David shows up with his team and lays out everything so the workers know exactly what needs to be done. These guys were perfectionist....just what I ordered! Poor guys never took breaks, worked together like a well oiled machine and their lunch was less than an hour! The workers were so professional and very nice. I have a fireplace with uneven corners, nooks, crevices and they made it look easy placing, measuring, cutting the boards, very impressive. Each day they cleaned up well and made sure I knew what was planned for the next day. David checked in several times to note the work. David and crew r so good at their craft. All went smoothly and the floors look so professionally done I'm very, very pleased. Do note, I was there the whole time of this job and probably getting in their way but they were always cordial and professional. This company does high class work which doesn't look second rate. In fact, at the end of the job David showed up we got to talking and he just mentioned in passing, that the baseboards are painted wood not the cheap stuff that over time can corrode from moisture....something for u all to note. He was very flexible in our arrangement in a payment plan for the purchase and installation of hardwood flooring and Crown Moldings in one of our guest bedrooms. We hired Omega Flooring to install wood laminate flooring in our commercial/retail space which included 3 rooms and about 1000 sq.ft. They did a fantastic job for us. David was very helpful with reviewing the material options and the downsides and benefits of each brand. He provided a clear estimate and when hired provided high quality product & very professional installation. He went above and beyond and included extra trim that was required due to poor building construction - but not part of the quote - at no additional cost. As a single mother of 4 and on a budget, I was looking to replace my worn carpet. I priced flooring from 6 different places and Omega was by far the least expensive option. David did a home visit in the evening to scope out the job, since that's what worked best for me with my kids' schedules. I couldn't move all my furniture out of the family room so he handled it and didn't charge me extra. He took the tile into the closet, which he didn't include in the estimate, but didn't charge me extra since he didn't ask first and just knew it would look a lot better (and it did). He also had to empty out my entire closet, which was jam packed. I was expecting extra fees in the end and there weren't any! He completed the entire job in 1 day, just like he said he would. The result turned out amazing. I would definitely recommend Omega Flooring. At least do comparison shopping and you'll realize they are the best bang for your buck and do a fabulous job. read more

I hired Dave Sherdil/Omega Floors to install hardwood floors throughout my house which was built in 1949 and has an addition built in the early 1980s (~1500 sq. ft.). While I was apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, after having Dave come over I was very impressed that he had some great ideas as well as options for what I wanted done. Other contractors simply quoted for doing the install and nothing else. As it turns out this was extremely important as several unforeseen obstacles arose during this project and Dave and his team were able to come up with resolutions that not only solved the problems but were also cost-effective. Dave's crew was very knowledgeable, helpful, and extremely good at their craft. They included many little things that I would not have thought of such as trim and molding that make a huge difference in the finished product. Dave was also very accessible as I could call him at any time and he would discuss any questions I had. I look forward to hiring Omega Floors to redo the tile floor in one of the bathrooms in the near future. read more

I've been a customer of Omega for several years and have previously praised their work and their prices. I recently had a plumbing problem - yes - not a flooring issue, and used Omega. Now, don't expect that Omega Floors is branching out and extending their range of home services to include drain clearing and sewer line replacement! But I had recalled, when David at Omega replaced my counter tops in 2013, he used a very skilled plumber named Oscar to extend a gas line and install the plumbing for my kitchen sink. I had a few plumbing issues last week and reached out to my normal plumbing company - Contra Costa Sewer and Drain - but they were completely booked up. They do great work, but when they're booked, they're booked. On a whim, I called Omega and learned that Oscar the Plumber is a full time employee of Omega. David was able to send him to my home the next day where Oscar spent several hours solving four different plumbing problems. He was efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and cleaned up after himself. He gave me some tips for future problem-prevention and I was very pleased with his work. David runs a great business, is an honest fellow and goes out of his way to ensure that his customers are satisfied with his work. I really appreciate his way of doing business. read more

David with Omega floors did a beautiful job for us. Being a swimming pool contractor im always nervous about hiring a company that delivers what they say they will. I lived with squeaky carpeted floors for 15 years but no longer the case. They removed old carpet,then the old hardwood floors under that,then repaired and re screwed 700 s/f of sub floor down to the joist, then installed beautiful 3/4" Brazilian cherry hardwood which was then sanded & finished in place. They also installed base boards that turned out perfect. I couldn't be happier with with the end results. They also installed beautiful carpet in three bedrooms. I had 4 bedrooms of laminate installed. The hallway was done 3 years previously by Empire Floors. When I called them for an estimate this time it was $8000 for just the product. Omega Floors did it for under $5000. The installers worked hard and were wonderful to have around. They were polite, considerate and cleaned up well after themselves. The floors look fabulous. David does a good job of checking in and being involved. They even finished on a Saturday!!! read more

A few months ago we choose tile from Omega Floors. We were very pleased with our choice and the owner's attention to detail and great service. It was at tht time we discovered they also do painting, electrical and plumbing. We decided to hire Omega again to do painting and carpet. The job became much more complex than we anticipated but David Sherdil and his dedicated workers took the extra days needed on our job to complete the task and do additional work we requested. The prep they do before starting is impressive and workmanship and attention to detail outstanding. They left our home clean and neat every day. We had David's team whitewash an ugly rock firrplace which turned out lovely next to the newly painted walls. Our nasty looking garden patio cement that they refinished using a special process looks fabulous! We selected omega floor after extensive research. Our friend who just had entire floor done invited us to view omega's workmanship. We liked what we saw at the very competitive price. Quality crew, owner stopping by every day at least once, sometimes taking up projects himself. Very eager to please customers. One thing we are very satisfied is they are capable of fixing everything that was wrong. One area of the floor was one inch sloping lower and some area of the floor was wobbly, leaky valves for toilet, etc. This is a 30 year old house. We did not have to wait for other contractors or plumber to come to fix the problems. The problems were dealt with right there with very reasonable charge. The reasoning of the charges were fully explained and we witnessed the process. We always wanted to find a floor company that the owner is fully involved with the projects not just the sales. We found one from the designing stage to the completion. read more

I am very pleased with the work David and his crew did in my home. I had hardwood installed in a guest bedroom, and porcelain tile installed in a small bathroom. The quality of the installation was excellent, and the pricing was reasonable and fair. In addition, they installed a new bathroom countertop, sink, toilet, and crown moulding in the guest bedroom. I wasn't planning on getting all of this work done, but when I saw similar work that David had done in a neighbor's home, I was immediately impressed and inspired to do some updating in my home. David introduced me to a new white-wash wood finish that just came on the market, and I absolutely fell in love with it. It totally changed the look of my guest bedroom, which now looks chic -- with a touch of European flair. David was very hands-on with this project, continually checking on his crew and cleaning up afterwards. I think this shows integrity. His crew was respectful and hard working throughout the process. We first were impressed with the owner who runs the retail location. She was very helpful, not pushy and really listened to what we wanted - hardwood floors. She showed us lots of "before" and "after" photos which gave us some ideas to go home with. She lent us several large (2' x 3') samples to bring home and see how well the color worked next to our kitchen cabinets. Next, we met Dave (the other owner) - and were impressed with his knowledge of the best type of hardwood floor (stay away from those made in China!). I asked him some tough questions about guarantees and possible repairs in the future. Dave knows hardwood! We settled on the color, type and manufacturer, ordered the materials. Dave and his crew left yesterday, after returning to complete a few finishing touches to the job that included our entry, kitchen, dining and front room. He also did two sets of two stairs and they look fabulous! Dave did the extra work that was not part of the initial quote (and didn't charge us) to include repairing and replacing some molding and floor trim (not his fault - it was from the previously installed floor). We are pleased with Dave's promises kept and quality of work. He did more than he had to - What more could you ask? read more

I have used Omega Flooring 2 times, the first about 3 or 4 years ago, and I was very happy with them so recently had them install more tile flooring. Not only is David very nice and he does beautiful work, but he comes by often to supervise, and he has been very responsive and spot on in accommodating all of our needs/requests (since we have animals and wanted to make our lives as easy as possible during construction). And the workers he uses have all been very nice, too, listening to our requests and doing anything we need. read more

David did a good job on my first home in Pittsburg in 2007. I went back to him in 2011 to do my second home in Antioch however this one is a big mess. He installed something we didn't agree with however he was quick in correcting the error. I was about to give him 0 star that time but thought of 4. Unfortunately my floor got damaged recently by water and has to be replaced completely so I contacted him again to quote a new floor install. He gave me a run around on when he will come and eventually told that he does not go to Antioch because he is too far from Concord but he goes all the way to Calaveras. I think he just lost his word of honor and a one star is appropriate now. read more

We had already seen the work done by Omega through some neighbors and it looked great. We got multiple bids and ended up going with Omega. David was great to work with, extremely competitive, and made some wonderful suggestions to make the job look even better than we originally had thought about.
