This was my first time eating Korean bbq. We tried a bunch of different dishes. My favorites were the Beef Bulgogi and the Prime Beef Brisket. I really enjoyed the ambiance and my kids loved spying stuff throughout the restaurant. Our burner kept blowing out but the staff were on top of it and quickly fixed the issues. I eat a lot of all you can eat Korean barbecue and I have to say this one was actually up there with one of the better ones. The sides that they have the selection of meat and the nonstop checking on us by the server gives this place definitely a two thumbs up. I gave it a four star due to the fact that we had issues with the fountain machine and our drinks. I really like authentic Korean food and have been eating Korean cuisine for 35 years. I immediately saw the problem when I went to Ombu in SLC and saw most of the menu was in Chinese. It's Chinese folks trying to do Korean. For example, the Kimchi is way too sweet, the beef on the grill is to thick and it had the distinct flavor of hoisin sauce. I was truly dIsappointed. The service was exceptional and everything came with a smile. Was my first time and my server explained everything to me. If you have never tried Korean BBQ you should give them a try. I am kinda bummed that this place only has 3.5 stars. I don't think that's entirely fair. Korean BBQ is such a fun idea! It's such a fun group activity and there truly is something for everyone. Even my picky little sister left satisfied which is an accomplishment. The meat and the vegetables are great! The appetizers and sides are yummy. The fruit is a nice touch. Our waiter spoke very little English but she was sweet and attentive. The restaurant is clean and aesthetically pleasing. For all the variety, the value is amazing! The only feedback I would offer is the following: 1. The noodles weren't very good. 2. The portions are HUGE and you get charged for not eating everything. (AYCE) I would prefer less meat for every serving so that I could try more. Otherwise, you have to bring a few friends to make it worthwhile. 3. I hate that the lunch rate doesn't extend to Sunday. $20+ is a lot to pay for lunch even on Sunday. read more

Be really careful when you come here, it's gonna be easy to order way more than you can eat! Everything is delicious, the selections are awesome, and the price is a little bit more competitive in comparison to other all-you-can-eat gourmet restaurants, at only $20.99! You have to make sure to get some bibimbap, but also know that it's going to fill you up and perhaps you should progressively whittle it down while putting the meats you cook in it, as at the end of my stay my bibimbap was sadly still about half full. All of the meats are great and the stove is easy for the staff to maintain, so if you've been there a while and prior cookings are crisping up the grill they can easily change it out without any hassle for you. Everything my wife and I tried on the menu was great and I'd highly recommend anybody in the area to check this place out, even those not from the area too! read more

Was our first time trying Korean BBQ we were told Ombu is better than Yummy's so we decided to go here instead of yummy's. We came here with friends and literally everything we had was fantastic. I love coming here for the food but I give this place a 3 because of the customer service. It's a hit or miss. I've had servers rapidly click their pen while we are ordering because they want us to hurry up. They also have days where they do not check on the table and I have to continuously wave them down for more food. Great place for Korean BBQ! They have A ton of options to choose from and the price is great for what you get. I loved the potstickers and the tongue beef (if you're into that type of stuff) ha. The staff was amazing at explaining everything and made sure everything came out as quickly as possible. They have all types of drinks, including some alcohol beverages. They do lunch at a lower price Monday-Saturday until 3pm and they are open Sundays for dinner all day. However if you go during lunch time and want dinner items you can still get them, you will just be charged the dinner price. It was such a fun experience and the food was delicious so you know we will definitely be going back! read more

This place is a great value, especially if you have preteen boys that can EAT!!! Literally everything we got here was good! The fried rice, the spring rolls, the Hawaiian pork. They only have their full menu available at dinner, so we've never gone for lunch (which is cheaper), but we love this place so much I chose this as my dinner for Mother's Day!! Oh. Wow. Came here at the suggestion of a friend. Not just a great meal, but a fun experience. So worth the dinner price. We tried nearly everything on the menu, except the seafood. Beef tenderloin was by far the favorite. The chicken is *amazing* when dipped in the lemon sauce. And they have blooming teas! The doenjang sauce was something different and lovely.
