Let me start on the positive. The food and beverage staff, particularly the room service ones, are some of the friendliest and most cordial I've ever seen. They were efficient and offered to help in any way. I think this is also mentioned in other reviews. Here's a short summary of the problem that lead my wife and I to check out a day early: I'm in a wheelchair and had reserved a handicapped accessible room. When we arrived the bathroom had lots of grab bars all over the place, but also a small tub with no shower chair. When we requested one, what was delivered was a small plastic chair short enough to accomodate story time in a preschool. The next morning I asked the front desk staff if they could please get me a shower chair high enough to actually use. After a few puzzled expressions, I was assured they could. That evening the same little short chair remained in our tub. When we checked out early, one staff member apologized profusely and said they just couldn't decide where they could get a higher shower chair (there's a CVS about 2 miles away) and WHETHER OR NOT I'D BE CHARGED FOR IT (!). As we left, the gentleman thanked me for "educating" them on the issue. My problem is that I wasn't there to educate anyone. I just wanted to take a shower in the room I paid $209.00 for. read more

We stayed over the weekend & I would say it was enjoyable for the most part. We stayed in a king room & the bed was super comfortable, the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. We booked through hotels.com & got a pretty awesome deal as well. WiFi is good & the staff was fairly friendly. I must've read the description incorrectly thinking there was free breakfast but it says "breakfast available" but you would have to pay. The only other thing that I wasn't very happy with was the hot tub was out of order for most of one of the days we were there. Lastly I feel as though we had still gotten a deal, we still paid a good amount of money to have a relaxing weekend. It was a VERY busy hotel. Lots of kids aka a lot of screaming & yelling in the pool area. I understand they are kids but it was louder than I had ever experienced at any other hotel & we do a lot of traveling. Overall I was impressed. Don't be discouraged by it's dated outside because it's fresh & new on the inside. read more

Last week I stayed at the Omaha Marriott from Sunday, 9/18 until Friday, 9/23. I was the only guest in my room. When I returned to my room on Wednesday evening (9/21) I was greeted by a mysterious pair of mens underwear over the top of one of my bedside lamps (seeThis underwear was not mine, I was the only person staying in my room, and they were not there when I checked in on Sunday 9/18. I called down to the front desk and about 20 minutes later the item was removed by a friendly employee. I can only imagine what events were taking place in my room while I was not there during the day that day (and other days when there were not garments left behind I suppose). This is disgusting, uncalled for, and made me feel extremely unsafe and unsanitary. read more

Overall the hotel was ok. The reason it is not 4 stars because there is some serious air quality issues. The restrooms do not have proper ventilation which causes it to have a moldy smell. After showing everyday you have to leave and shut the restroom door or your entire room will have a foul smell. Unfortunately housekeeping comes in and opens it again. As far as cleanliness the place was surprisingly good. I can tell they had a renovation and the upgrades were welcomed. Next time I'm in town though I will have to check out some other hotels to see if I can get that perfect one. read more

Pretty much the high water mark for hotels in Omaha. Fantastic service. Spacious rooms. The most comfortable beds out of almost any hotel in the city (the downtown Doubletree ain't too shabby, either). Nice indoor/outdoor pool. Beautiful, spacious rooms. A damn fine room service breakfast (get the fruit and granola plate), brought to our room by one of the friendliest hotel employees I've ever encountered (I wish I'd caught your name!). You can get decent rates through Hotwire (about $90 a night is the best I've seen), but they have nice packages for couples and families. We stayed for two nights, but I just wanted to move in for good. I liked the place so much, I bought two pairs of slippers to wear at home so I can always remember that stay. read more

This is ABSOLUTELY the spot in Omaha if you're hear for the Brekshire meeting. We've known that for years but this was the first year we finally got ourselves a room. All the best events and parties are hosted here by all the names you've heard about. And Borsheims and almost all the shareholder events are right down the street. This morning as we checked out, Charlie Munger walked right past. It's where he and Gates stay. Also can't wait to try the indoor and outdoor pool next year. The bar is also a sweet place to meet some fellow BRK partners. The problem is the waiting list is over a year long...get on it! read more

We have stayed at the Regency Marriott a dozen times in the past and I've had an OK experience. I just returned from there and was very very disappointed. It has gone downhill so much. The dining room was nice but we had to wait forever. There was no one working. Our room was dated. The carpet was stained, the shower had mildew.... just to name a few. We have business in Omaha in October but will be looking for a new place. It definitely needs refurbished. Is this really a Marriott property? The place is always busy and we cannot figure out why. Location location location must be the answer. read more

Some girlfriends and I stayed here for a weekend visit. There was some good and some bad. The good: comfortable surrounding, cushy beds and bedding, SUPER hospitable staff who are very knowledgeable about the area (the Saturday evening bartender referred us to an out-of-the-way bar that was so fun!), everything was clean and the hotel is very easy to get to. The bad: WiFi is horrendously SLOW and constantly kicked us off. I was really glad that I didn't need it for work purposes- just simply to find a restaurant or store. Also the whirlpool was closed, and that had been one of the driving forces of us booking this hotel over another closer to downtown. All in all it was a pleasant stay and I'd stay here again. read more

Front staff was friendly. Room was small and NOT clean. There were dead bugs on the bed sheet. Shower had really slow drain. Lock on door was half way falling off. Floor in front of door was filthy. Pool area was ok but could use a good cleaning. Very disappointed in our stay at this hotel. read more

After traveling around the world for work and sleeping in hotels more than on my own bed, I have to say that Hotels in US need some major upgrades. US hotels were considered "fancy" back in the 70s and 80s, but not at this age. the rundown appearance and the outdated design can hardly match hotels in the same category especially in Asia and middle east. Omaha Marriott is one of the oldest oldies in America. the bathroom is so tiny that one person can hardly turn around without hitting the door knob or the counter. The room and closet are equally small and inconvenient. The couch is dirty and filthy no matter which room you stay. The breakfast in concierge lounge normally includes rotten fruits and lack of variety. The only positive side is that the bed is comfortable and looks clean. read more

This hotel is below typical Marriott standards for frequent travelers. No air conditioning in common areas including the fitness room, both elliptical trainers have broken controllers and TVs, bar and restaurant are under-staffed. On the positive side, everyone was friendly and polite, and we had an excellent free buffet breakfast. It is Olympic trials and college World Series week so negatives are amplified but this hotel is in need of a major renovation. read more

This is the worst hotel service ever! I've been waiting for two hours for my room while people in my group checked in two hours after I arrived. The rooms are cozy and clean...the hotel itself is ok..a little old school looking. I am staying here because my company has preferred rates with them. It's also close to the office. The staff is friendly...I got to try out the gym which is small but effecient--they have an indoor plus an outdoor pool...you can also do your laundry here in their self service laundry room which is great because I would not want to pay $15 bucks to wash a pair of pants :) read more

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel and it was my first visit and it will be my last! My family originally had 8 rooms reserved for the full weekend. From the beginning there was one particular employee who was rude to the point of no return! She treated and spoke to me like i was irrelevant. My aunt and uncle had their wedding vow renewal 1 block away so this hotel was close. I called to make a formal complaint 6 days ago and was told it takes 3 to 5 business days to complete but guess what, no response from the hotel. And when i did call i still feel like my issues mean nothing to them. At this point i feel like im being discriminated against. Funny thing is my family knows people on the board of marriott international and i guess i will have to make some calls. Smh never again read more

I just moved to Omaha over the last weekend and this has been my home while I've been trying to make my new apartment habitable. my experience has been awesome here and I really don't want to leave frankly, my room is gorgeous king room desk chair and plenty of space, bed is very comfy. with requested extra pillows and towels and pretty much everything I need in the building. it snowed Sunday and had I gone "cheap" I would have not been able to eat without heading out to a blizzard, or get my laundry done ( they have gorgeous free washers and dryers for the guests you only pay for detergent) due to me being locked out of my new apartment due to a key not being cut correctly. the restaurant downstairs is excellent they serve food all day in room. I have had delicious reasonable meals with fresh food ( i eat organic) they have in room dining as well ( the memory of the morning breakfast trays will always make me smile) and everybody has simply been wonderful during this time of transition. I won't go on with all the other perks they have here you can check out the site. think they would notice if I never left? check online for weekend room specials, I had a nice rate the first day. perfect for a getaway to simply indulge in room service! read more

Stayed here for a couple of weeks. A typical Marriott. Not much more to say. Close to a mall. Nice concierge lounge.

Old school hotel. OG red and gold leaf design carpet, tan walls. In what seems like the middle of nowhere Omaha, but near a Whole Foods and a shopping mall. This hotels staff was very nice to me and the group I was with. Very nice breakfast buffet and the beds were comfortable. I had a room with a balcony which was also a bonus. Cant say that I would opt to come here on my own but would not mind at all if the business landed me here agin. read more

The common areas on each floor needs updating. The rooms themselves are standard Marriott, although the walls are thin. I did have a hard time getting a good night's sleep here. Staff were nice and friendly. Tip - there is a Whole Foods close by if you want to eat healthy. read more

Wow! New, clean, the staff is nice and the rooms large. A great place to stay.

The location is so-so, the building is not the newest or spiffiest, but this Marriott has the best service of any that I have visited. From the front desk to the restaurant to the lounge, this hotel oozes hospitality. Folks are pleasant and go out of their way to accommodate. And I have not seen another location that offers a 24-hour concierge lounge. Not that I would use it in off hours but it's still a nice touch. read more

Early staff was nice and helpful. The late night guy on the other hand wasn't. Was doing laundry and only to find out that both dryers must not working because over an hour later my clothes are still damp. Asked to see if the industrial one could be used and got a straight no. I'd have to wait till 6am for housekeeping (good thing I have to leave in an hour). If there was a sign on the dryers before hand I would have waited to do laundry elsewhere. I'm just upset that the late night guy pretty much had no care for my damp clothes and not helpful at all to help solve the problem. Thanks but no thanks. read more

I am very disappointed in my experience here. The rooms are not updated and the hotel seems consistently understaffed. If you do end up having to stay here DO NOT eat at the bar or restaurant. The food is mediocre but the service is HORRIBLE (see my other review). The only meal worth eating here is breakfast. The guy who makes the omelets in the buffet is friendly and makes great food. But be careful cause coffee cups and typically dirty and don't expect to get coffee refills or water refills. I travel here a lot of work and this hotel is very convenient in location. For future visits I will stay much further away and deal with the driving to avoid having to stay here. read more

I can't stay at this hotel again. It was wonderful. The front desk was awesome. The coffee bar in the morning was fantastic and the lady working there was friendly. The pool was great, although when we went, there was obviously a teenage birthday party going on and they overran the place and were pushing each other in. it was kind of out of control and dangerous for my younger kids. The rooms were small but QUIET and nice. It was in a great location. Everything was clean. Here's why I can't stay there again - the air in the room. It was humid. Everything in the room from the carpet to the sheets and eventually my clothes were slightly damp. We had breathing problems at night. I'm wondering if the humidifier was just turned up too high. We all were congested and coughing in the morning. it wasn't allergies, because we would go outside and be just fine within an hour. It's too bad. I'd absolutely stay there again if it weren't for that. read more

Great rooms and very nice quality beds. The front desk is great service. This would have been a 5 star review but the internet has not worked for the 2 days that I have been here so far and I think wifi is a big reason why we stay at a nice high end hotel. Will probably reconsider staying here again if the internet problem doesn't work itself out soon. read more

Frequent traveler to various states and I mostly stay at Marriott's. The good: Great location - close to the mall and several restaurants. Close to the freeway, clean rooms, clean bedding & excellent customer service. Bad: Older hotel (but many renovations underway), horrible restaurant. I had the breakfast buffet. It cost $20 and was cold and not very good. Not many breakfast options in the surrounding area. I would most likely return due to a lack on upscale mainline hotel chains in the immediate area. read more

I had my wedding here and the entire time they kept changing the prices. All my friends got they're rooms messed up an hour before the wedding. That night they sent out vip champagne and treats to a different room, also on the wedding day the entire staff was so rude to all of us and all my guests. At the end of the night we were nice enough to start cleaning up and as doing so 2 staff members decided they wanted to pick a fight about us cleaning and ended up calling the cops because of it. The next day every guest got complimentary breakfast except me and my husband. My husband went to talk calmly with the GM, the General Manager then gives him attitude and just walks away. And they still want to add money on our bill. My wedding has been ruined thanks to the Marriot. A moment I will never get back. read more

Such a nice hotel experience! The rooms are updated and very clean. The bathroom and shower seems brand new and very modern design. All of the staff members I have been in contact with are genuinely friendly and helpful! Walking up to a front desk with professionals such as this place make a world of difference. I was looking for good night's sleep but that was not in the cards.. - I had my Do Not Disturb sign hung on the door along 2 pm late check out ste with the front desk... housekeeping knocked at 8:50AM.. woke me... I explained I had 2PM LATE check out ... they knocked again at 11:30AM then someone else knocked again at NOON.. they just don't get it.. This could be a great hotel but the grounds are really lacking maintenance. The front desk staff was great. The rooms were ok just a bit outdated. Smallest bathrooms I have ever been to in a hotel besides the European style hotels where you expect a small bathroom. The restaurant had delicious food but the hostess was very slow and a bit confused at times. The first morning we had about half of our family. She seated us but then told us it would be a while before we got waited on because our waitress too many tables....what? Excuse me? I am pretty sure we could find another restaurant that could accommodate us. For convenience we waited.. 2nd morning - entire family and they could not accommodate us - we ended up splitting up because 4 of us stood around for about 10 minutes because they miscounted chairs at the table. We are Marriott Rewards Members and this has to be the worst Marriot we've ever stayed. Only good thing about this hotel was the location. read more

I should have read the reviews on here before booking multiple reservations. I had the confidence in the staff of this fine hotel company that they could handle more than one reservation, but I was horribly mistaken. I had two reservations, one for one night and another for two night. When I went to check in with my guests, I wanted to ensure each guest had the right hotel room. Manny ensured me that he handed me the correct keys. As soon as I confirmed the key for the one night booking, I promptly gave it to my guest and vice versa for the other. So there was no mishandling of the keys and I had the confidence in Manny that he did the right job. But apparently booking through a third party, me mishandling the keys, me failing to inform staff were why I was charged for the second night for my guest that I had already book for two nights. Help me understand why would the other guest who apparently had the two night room key stay for one night and the guest who had one night key stay for two nights? I am confident my guests aren't incompetent. I can't believe this hotel company would do this, especially their staff. The staff did not apologize or accept blame. This situation could have been easily fixed but immaturity, incompetency and lack of respect and professionalism failed to resolve anything. Needless to say I will never bring business to the Marriott ever again. read more

Bad customer service. I checked in after a long flight only to realize that the access card does not work after reaching the room. They wouldn't send anyone for help either except that I would have to drag my luggage back to the reception to get a card reissued. Unbelievable empathy for their customers. read more
