Via Farina was serving pizza that night, and I was excited to see my favorite, the Fratello, on the menu. The pizza came out quickly and was just as delicious as always. When we arrived, the place was completely full, so we were added to the waitlist. Even though there was a wait, the hostess was incredibly friendly and made the experience much better. I didn't catch her name, but she recommended several nearby spots where we could grab a drink while we waited. Our table ended up being ready sooner than expected, which was a nice surprise. The live music was fantastic and really added to the atmosphere. The bar was well organized with only a short wait, even with the crowd. The cocktails were fine, but they didn't stand out as much as the rest of the experience. Overall, this is a beautiful place for a date night, especially if you enjoy live music, great pizza, and a fun atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

We grabbed a drink and some pizza and sat around catching up for a good while. It's completely gorgeous, nice and tucked away and full of lush plants. Depending on your party size/time, it may take a while to get in but we got lucky and didn't have to wait at all. They're not open every day sadly but it's worth planning around when they are open!

As someone who isn't exactly the next Martha Stewart but occasionally likes to dabble in…read morecreativity, The Makery was an absolute delight! I spent a Saturday morning there with a wonderful group of ladies, ranging in age from our 40s to 80s, and with crafting skills spanning from "I've got this" to "help me, please." The staff? Top-notch. Seriously. They were like crafting superheroes--swooping in with paint suggestions and design tips and even taking over when my creative stress levels hit their peak. And they did it all with a smile and words of encouragement. The store itself is a crafter's paradise. If you can dream it, you can probably make it here--flowers, bows, 3D words, endless embellishments. Me? I had my heart set on a Husker door hanger (because, well, priorities), and I pulled it off with the staff's help! We were there for about 2.5 hours and had a reservation for our group of six, which I'd recommend because this place was hopping. My masterpiece set me back $48.18, and I happily tossed a $5 tip in the jar--honestly, I wish I'd had more cash because the staff was that helpful. I spotted a few other projects I'd love to try... once my art anxiety settles and I start believing in my crafting abilities again. Until then, I'll admire my door hanger and look forward to my next visit to The Makery--where creativity meets encouragement, and even the most hesitant crafter (like me) can leave feeling like a DIY champion!

The owners, Rhonda and Brian, have assembled a staff that anticipates your every need. Trash is constantly taken out, restrooms are freshened and reset, food service vendors are assisted as needed and everything is taken care of seamlessly allowing guests and family to enjoy their celebration with no stress or drama. The grounds are immaculate, the parking is plentiful and the venue space will take your breath away. A portable microphone was provided for the ceremony and a large scale projector and sound system was also available. The red cedar tables are too beautiful to cover with table cloths so we just did a table runner, candles and eucalyptus. Nice, sturdy white chairs line the tables and are a step above what you usually find at most venues. The size of the venue allows a number of options for table arrangements.
