I urge you to carefully consider this before contracting with any hospice provider. Unfortunately, our experience with Faith & Hope made an already painful situation even harder. In April 2025, my mom suffered a massive stroke. She was placed under Continuous Care (CC), which meant she required critical, around-the-clock nursing support. We were told her case would be re-evaluated after three days. However, the care was stopped in less than 24 hours and we were given only 4 hours' notice that services would be discontinued. At that point, it was clear our needs no longer aligned with Faith & Hope's philosophy of care. We scrambled to hire private help on extremely short notice. That night, my mom was in significant pain & experienced agitation. She needed her medication adjusted and an increase of the dosage frequency to help manage her symptoms. The next day, we made final attempts to Faith & Hope to reassess mom's eligibility for CC, even though the on-call night nurse, when we asked, did acknowledge that we were free to seek another hospice provider. We waited all day for a response from Faith & Hope, but heard nothing. Faced with another evening without adequate care, we transferred my mom to a different hospice. They gave us the right care without hesitation. Sadly, our mom passed away only 4 days later. The only positive experience we had with Faith & Hope was with Nurse Theresa. She cared for my mom with compassion, dedication and a true commitment to patient advocacy. Theresa's thoughtfulness and support helped guide my brothers and me through an incredibly challenging time, and for that we are deeply grateful.

I paid $1200 out of pocket, only to find out that the wheelchair was far too large for my mom's small frame. Their referral would not exchange the wheelchair for a smaller size, nor would they refund any of my money for a wheelchair my mom was unable to use. I was stuck with the entire bill of $1200 and they provided no financial assistance whatsoever I ended up donating the wheelchair to the nursing facility. The worst experience of all occurred the day my mom passed away. They delivered my mother's body to the wrong crematorium, which was located approximately 30 minutes from the correct funeral home. lNever received an apology, nor did I receive a call or a single response from them, despite my countless attempts to contact them by phone, email and text. Horrific experience!!! I wish I could give them ZERO stars

She began with Palliative Care and transitioned into Hospice Care. Navigating care is an incredibly daunting journey, but having them by our side made all the difference. What stood out most was their unfailing promptness; whenever we had a request for supplies, equipment, or medical advice, they responded immediately. Beyond the logistics, they are truly compassionate professionals. They didn't just treat my mother as a patient; they treated her with dignity and our entire family with kindness. During our most difficult moments, they provided the wisdom and guidance we desperately needed. They helped us understand what to expect and gave us the peace of mind to focus on being present with my mom rather than worrying about the details of her care. If you are looking for a team that is transparent, reliable, and deeply caring, I highly recommend Maximum Care Hospice. Thank you Max, Victoria (our nurse), and Aylin (comfort care nurse) for everything! We could not have gotten through my mom's last few days without you! You were a blessing to our family!

As soon as we decided to switch to hospice care, we've been in touch with a few places but Maximum Care Hospice felt most transparent and comprehensive. Other places were a bit unclear about who is coming from where and what exactly is being provided with hospice care. Switching to hospice care was a difficult decision, but we are so happy to have chosen Maximum Care. We had a wonderful nurse Victoria. It was a short seven days but she provided all the support that we needed. There was no judgement whatsoever (my father was difficult) and she was very respectful and kind. We had a somewhat unusual circumstance, where the police had to be in touch with them (due to my father's passing as a result of a crime), but they handled it all very graciously. Equipment delivery and pickup was excellent. They are contracted with a place called St Joseph's and every staff from there was respectful and friendly. We also had a wonderful woman come to bathe my father before he passed away She was very thorough and efficient. I believe she isn't an employee but someone who is contracted to provide personal care to several hospices, but she had told me that she tries to take every job requested by Maximum Care because they treat her very well. When my father passed, Victoria came immediately and connected us with their recommended mortuary. My cousin, who is experienced with contacting mortuaries at her church community, was very impressed how seamless and "easy" Maximum Care made the process. Thank you again, and I will forever recommend Maximum Care Hospice to anyone who needs hospice care providers.

I was given the numbers of L.A. Hospice as well as another organization called VITAS and called the latter first. While VITAS was polite and informative over the phone, I decided to compare them with L.A. Hospice. My gut told me to make the initial appointment with them and so i did. When I thought it would be a social worker who would meet me at mom's nursing home, it turned out to be a woman Reverend and I was awestruck. She proved knowledgeable and patient as we filled out forms and discussed end-of-life care, wishes and medical advanced directives. She even sang and said a prayer for my mother in mom's room (moved me to misty-eyedness). The Reverend gave me a folder with all copies of my important paperwork as well. Within the next week i met the nurse assigned to her as i didn't have time to wait that very day due to a child care issue. I was told the nurse would visit her twice weekly to see that her comfort needs were being tended to. She'd also have a local doctor assigned to her, and a new mattress for her comfort and care needs. When i met the nurse, just today, I was impressed by his politeness and kind, unobtrusive bedside manner. I can now sit a little more easily knowing that mom's nursing home doctor and I already had an end-of-life talk, and that the interdisciplinary team at the nursing home told me to select a hospice organization of my choice, and that i chose the right one for my mom.

For the most part things went well, when we needed items to be replenished they did so with a bit of pushback at times but we received them promptly nonetheless. The care from the home health aide and LVN were for the most part great, no complaints there! Thorough and helpful by nature. One concern was the RN that made it a habit on more then one occasion to have my family member clean out their own ostomy bag even though my family member was bed bound and would not be able to properly clean their hands afterwards. I will be reporting said nurse to the appropriate agency. Only other disappointment was after my family members passing, no real attempt was made by their counselor or staff to help with the grieving process which seemed like such a harsh disconnection.

Forever Grateful to Healing Care Hospice for the Care They Gave My Dad…read more I don't even know where to begin in expressing the depth of my gratitude for Healing Care Hospice and their incredible team. When my dad's health began to decline and we were told it was time for hospice, my family was heartbroken and scared. We didn't know what to expect, and we wanted to make sure he would be surrounded by love, comfort, and dignity. From the very first moment Healing Care Hospice stepped in, we felt an enormous sense of peace. The nurses who cared for my dad were absolute angels. They treated him like he was their own family -- always gentle, patient, and respectful. They explained everything to us with compassion and honesty, making sure we understood what was happening every step of the way. It never felt rushed or routine; it felt deeply personal. Even during the hardest moments, their calm presence and kindness made such a difference. The aides and caregivers were just as amazing. They made sure my dad was clean, comfortable, and pain-free. They noticed the little things -- fixing his blanket, massaging his hands, talking softly to him when he couldn't respond -- small gestures that spoke volumes about their compassion. The social worker and chaplain also brought so much comfort, not just to my dad but to our entire family. They gave us emotional support, listened when we needed to talk, and helped us process everything we were feeling. It meant the world to have people who didn't just focus on medical care but truly cared for the human and spiritual side of what we were going through. One thing that stood out was the way the team communicated. They were always available -- day or night -- and made sure we never felt alone. Whether it was a question about medication, a sudden change in my dad's condition, or just needing reassurance, someone was always there to help with warmth and patience. When my dad passed, the hospice team was with us, guiding us gently through those final moments with compassion and respect. They handled everything with such grace, giving us space to say goodbye in peace. Even after, they checked in on us to see how we were doing, which meant so much. I can honestly say Healing Care Hospice helped my dad transition with comfort and dignity, and helped our family find peace in an incredibly painful time. They weren't just caregivers -- they became part of our family during those last weeks. To everyone at Healing Care Hospice: thank you from the bottom of my heart. You made an unbearable time a little easier, and you gave my dad the care and love he deserved. We will never forget what you did for us. If anyone reading this is searching for hospice care for a loved one, I can say with complete confidence that Healing Care Hospice is the kind of team you want by your side. They bring heart, compassion, and genuine humanity to every moment.
