Thank you Max and your team for providing excellent support for my father's hospice care in the final days of his life. As soon as we decided to switch to hospice care, we've been in touch with a few places but Maximum Care Hospice felt most transparent and comprehensive. Other places were a bit unclear about who is coming from where and what exactly is being provided with hospice care. Switching to hospice care was a difficult decision, but we are so happy to have chosen Maximum Care. We had a wonderful nurse Victoria. It was a short seven days but she provided all the support that we needed. There was no judgement whatsoever (my father was difficult) and she was very respectful and kind. We had a somewhat unusual circumstance, where the police had to be in touch with them (due to my father's passing as a result of a crime), but they handled it all very graciously. Equipment delivery and pickup was excellent. They are contracted with a place called St Joseph's and every staff from there was respectful and friendly. We also had a wonderful woman come to bathe my father before he passed away She was very thorough and efficient. I believe she isn't an employee but someone who is contracted to provide personal care to several hospices, but she had told me that she tries to take every job requested by Maximum Care because they treat her very well. When my father passed, Victoria came immediately and connected us with their recommended mortuary. My cousin, who is experienced with contacting mortuaries at her church community, was very impressed how seamless and "easy" Maximum Care made the process. I can't thank Max enough for transferring my mom to their hospice care service. We had used Maximum for my grandpa back in 2017, and my mom always told me how much she appreciated how much they took care of our Dedushka. It haunts me to write this as I realize my own mom wrote a review here back in 2017 that I didn't even know about, and now I am writing one referring to my experience using Maximum with her. My mom had told me that if her health spiraled and we needed a hospice care service that she felt very comfortable with Maximum Care, so that is who we called as soon as we could. The first night, Victoria, our first nurse, came in for an assessment and was very patient with mama. She took thorough notes on mama, asked all the proper questions tenderly, and took immediate actions on how to proceed and move things forward to make her feel more comfortable. She recommended continuous care for a few days until we understood the gravity of the situation as her health was deteriorating very quickly. The next two days we had a very kind, patient nurse during the day named Sonia. She was also very attentive to my mama by helping her to the bathroom, cleaning her, putting lip balm on her lips, and turning her over every few hours so she wasn't in one place. For me, it's the little things that matter at that point, and it felt good to see mama receiving that meticulous attention to ease her pain even just a little bit. At night, we had Anush helping us for her last two days, who also was very sweet and empathetic. I had asked specifically if she would run over and grab me if she saw my mom's breathing change so I could say one last goodbye. Luckily, I was able to run over, kiss her on the forehead, and witness her last breath. Overall, my brother and I felt more at ease that my mom had her last few days of life with Maximum Care by our side. Their service was impeccable. I contacted Maximum Care when I knew my husband was returning home from the hospital. Before he arrived home a hospital bed was waiting for him. Shortly after that came the intake nurse, the Doctor, and the supplies. He lived 5 more days but in that span of time he was given constant care. The night nurse came and every hour took his vitals and made him comfortable by moving him from side to side. If I could give this company zero stars I would. This company should not be in business. My mother died Monday, 6/20/22. She was placed on hospice the previous Thursday. We were told a nurse would meet with us on Friday 9-10am. At 10am I called the company to see where the nurse was. They said she will be there at 11:10am. I took time off work to meet the nurse that didn't show up when Max (the owner) said she would. No phone call, nothing letting us know she would be late. We were also told the nurse would check my mom head to toe and we would get a report. Never happened. I called and spoke with Max on numerous occassions and he said he would call right back. He never did. They delivered my mom's hospital bed on Friday along with the oxygen equipment and suction equipment for suctioning out phlegm. Nothing was ever hooked up. Just dropped it off. What's the point in that other than billing the insurance company. When I went to go visit my mom on Monday 6/20/22 she was having a difficult time breathing. I called the company again asking for help. I called Max several times in a panic because my mom couldn't breathe. I called my sister to my mom's assisted living place (Villa Redondo) to help me. Max said a nurse will be there in two hours! I said we need someone NOW!! He said he'd call me back and once again he did not! After several calls pleading for help my sister and I tried to hook up the equipment for suctioning since they never did. We finally got it working and when we started to suction her I noticed she stopped breathing! She had died! The nurse finally showed up at 6:30pm. My mom died at 5:45pm. This company did not care about my mom. They are full of empty promises and NEVER followed through. I can't say enough about what a terrible company this is. Do NOT trust the words that come out of their mouth. We are devastated at the loss of our mother that quite possibly could have been avoided. read more

Max was responsive from the first phone call. He met with me the next morning to explain the process and the services offered. My dad was at Kaiser at the time. He organized the move and all the necessary equipment to be sent over to his house and arranged for 24/7 nursing care. When my dad arrived home, an admission nurse and an aide was waiting. He was washed and made comfortable immediately. Arthur the night nurse took over and he was extremely attentive and ultra nice. He even brought us cakes and treats each night. Our day nurse, Rasa was great as well - very caring with a great attitude. All in all, Max and his team made a very difficult and challenging time, a little less stressful. My partner's mother was very sick for the past three years. She was exhausted by going back and forth to the hospital. A social worker at the hospital recommended hospice. We did our research on best home care services. Met with tree agencies. Max and his staff impressed us the most. They were very friendly and I would say personal. Max and his team have provided excellent service for my 94 year old dad over the past 5-6 months. The transitioning from the hospital to his home was extremely easy. Everything, including all medical equipment: oxygen, wheelchair, Hoyer lift, nebulizer, suctioning machine and all medical supplies had been delivered and set up for my dad's arrival home from the hospital. A nurse was there on duty for the first few days to monitor and care for my dad. That was such a relief for us. Maximum Care has provided all medicine, food for my dad's G tube and everything needed for his comfort. Jackie is a wonderful contact for the company. She is excellent, so sweet and efficient, and goes out of her way to make sure we have everything we need, and in a timely manner. Arlin, the new DON is very kind, helpful and thorough in managing my dad's medicine, medical care, and she also works closely with my dad's primary care physician. My mother was with another hospice company which I wasn't satisfied with...So in the middle of a crisis with the other hospice company I called Max. Max came over right away and took over my mother's case. He made me feel at ease. I had worries over filling out new paperwork, they took care of everything which made it a smooth transition. All this took place immediately. So with that they get 5 stars from me. Max and his team (24 hr phone support and his nurses) came thru for me right up to my mother's passing. Maximum Care Hospice is A PLUS, Excellent, well managed, responsive Hospice provider organization. Max himself and the crew, Jannetta, Jackie and Liana and the back end support staff are providing the best anybody can ever imagine and/or request to ease out our painful time. The whole system that Max manages are just working like a clock. The team that are taking care of and supporting my son are like a family member to us, they make you feel very comfortable and they all have empathy towards you and your love one. I had my son on Maximum care for a month (extremely happy), take him out of Hospice because of surgery and hospitalization and then had a painful stressful time being under Home care system, and then switched back to Maximum care. The equipment that was not delivered after two weeks with other organization, was delivered in 24 hrs. by Maximum. Whatever you need (medication refills or supplies usually are delivered the same day and hours after nurse leave). All said, I have nothing but, good to say about such a well-managed organization and such a well-trained, kind, professional staff that are supporting my son. read more
