There have been precious few moments in my life. When I've subjected myself to such a fast paced…read moreprocess or procedure in which I've felt that the people involved had slowed down just enough to convey to me that I mattered. Notably, this is such a rare quality in our society in general, that the fact that it can still exist in light of all the stressors we all face in the world is actually miraculous. For my part, I can only convey the thought I know that I've been truly blessed by the experience. My vision has been corrected beyond my expectations. Whereas before I dare not approach a book, a newspaper or let alone my phone without glasses, now i am typing this review. In my observations, having such a variety of people come together with all their private lives looming always in the background of their own minds; to have the aforementioned capacity to bless me, convey empathy to me and display a certain investment in my outcome glaringly speaks to the fact the entire staff that attended to my needs in this facility are individually unique and beautiful souls with the skillsets to match in ensuring that you leave there far better than when you arrived. Thank you all so much...

They are well qualified to care for your eyes, I don't have an issue with that. I have had five…read moreappointments with them now and every appointment I show up on time only to sit in an exam room by myself for at least 45 minutes. They need to learn to schedule better.

Dr Gayer is the bomb. Do they say that anymore? Dr Gayer is so kind, patient, and knowledgeable…read more Did I say patient? Yes, patient. I can be a difficult eye patient, with all the machines, and probing, and prodding around my eyes. Each time they remind me that I need to get my eyes dilated, in order to have a proper eye exam. When I make my eye appointment it is during banker hours, and therefore I have to get back to work. I haven't had my eyes dilated for a few years now, due to the downtime, it takes for your eyes to be able to read printed words. I just found out that they are open on some Saturdays, and that I could make a Saturday appointment, that way I wouldn't have to take anytime off work. On a less than positive side, Keirsten the assistant, was very condescending, and borderline rude. I would also, like to see the "intake" machines updated. They remind me of old school eye exams where you covered one eye with your hand.

I ultimately went with mono vision And am so glad I did! Dr Parker educated me on all my options, not swaying we one way or another. I'm so incredibly disappointed with how I was treated as a patient after seeing Dr. Alder for 20…read moreyears, especially since my whole family goes to him for care. Dr. Alder was out of my network after just switching insurance but I felt a loyalty to him since I had seen him for so long and he knew my history better than anyone else. This was a big deal to me because I'm a poor PHD student who can't afford out of network care but made an exception for this case. I made an appointment to see him which felt incredibly rushed and I didn't feel good about how quickly I felt hurried out of his office. After getting my glasses from an online retailer I felt something was off with my prescription. I also got contacts for the first time and my eyes couldn't adjust to the new prescription and that indicated something was for sure wrong with my prescription. I felt like I needed to see him again so I went into the office and spoke with one of his nurses. I asked her if I could be seen again with no charge if my prescription was wrong and she assured me I wouldn't be charged for that appointment. When I saw Dr. Alder again, my prescription was indeed incorrect. He wrote me a new prescription and charged me for the visit, even after his nurse told me I wouldn't be charged. When I asked his billing department why I was charged they told me it was because there was a four week gap between my initial appointment and the revisit (this is how long it took to go through the try on process of online glasses shopping and actually to actually receive my glasses). He then charged me a high rate for my contacts which I did not authorize them to purchase and order for me. After I thought all was said and done they sent me another bill with no context. I called and told them I had paid around $600.00 just to get my prescription and they dropped the charge. Dr. Alder was so cold, rude, and rushed every time I visited his office. I feel so violated and taken advantage of. I don't know if he has been in the business too long and doesn't truly care about every patient but I strongly urge anyone considering going to him to find another doctor. I've never, ever, been treated like this as a patient.
