I was treated so well by the Staff, Front Desk employees and the Nurse who checked me in and then Dr. Smith, who was beyond wonderful! The level of information and care is incredible…read more I was a little nervous because of how blind I already was and those "what ifs" start creeping in about what if it gets worse or I end up completely blind instead of the already mostly blind. Everyone there makes you feel so at ease. Dr. Passi is awesome. You can tell he has the experience, knowledge to get what needs to happen done and forethought of everything you may ask, answered. One of my favorite things about Dr. Passi was his complete honesty, just enough fluff to make you comfortable but at the same time, made sure you understand what's going to happen, what needs to happen afterwards and realistically what to expect after treatment and that's ultimately what he's logically there for. The expertise in this area, and he more than knows his craft. Last night oof, he was right, I was wrecked but after following directions of medicated eye drops every 2 hours and wear the covers with the correct amount of ibuprofen- Tylenol ratio, I was totally fine this morning (I took melatonin too because it never hurts to want to not wake up constantly) I'm sure Hoopes is great BUT I also would say there's definitely not just a single place to go and don't rule this place out. I personally loved loved it.

I can be a difficult eye patient, with all the machines, and probing, and prodding around my eyes. Each time they remind me that I need to get my eyes dilated, in order to have a proper eye exam. When I make my eye appointment it is during banker hours, and therefore I have to get back to work. I haven't had my eyes dilated for a few years now, due to the downtime, it takes for your eyes to be able to read printed words. I just found out that they are open on some Saturdays, and that I could make a Saturday appointment, that way I wouldn't have to take anytime off work. On a less than positive side, Keirsten the assistant, was very condescending, and borderline rude. I would also, like to see the "intake" machines updated. They remind me of old school eye exams where you covered one eye with your hand.

Dr. Miller took extra time, having me come in twice for measurements to make sure he was clear on all the challenges in removing my cataract without tearing a larger hole in my eye. It's a terrifying thing, pondering if you're going to lose the vision in your eye. But because Dr. Miller was so precise, prepared and concerned, he was able to successfully remove the cataract, put in my new lens and save my vision, even with all the attendant risks. I don't know how to thank him enough for his concern and his skill. He told me, "I will take care of you like you were a member of my family," and I believe him. I am extremely disappointed with how my daughter's care has been handled by this office…read more My daughter has severe dental anxiety, which the dentist was aware of. We had discussed her anxiety and made a plan with the dentist that included medication before her appointments so she could receive the dental care she needs. Twice, we did not receive the follow-up needed to get the prescription taken care of. Over approximately three months, her appointment has now been rescheduled three times, each time pushing her care out about another month. We confirmed her most recent appointment on Monday, and on Tuesday the office said they tried to contact her to reschedule it again. She has no record of receiving that call. There have also been ongoing communication issues. My daughter has signed an authorization twice allowing the office to speak with me about her care, and both times we were later told they did not have it. Today I spoke directly with the Resident dentist (Dr. B) because my daughter is now having dental pain and I was concerned about continuing to delay her treatment. Unfortunately, I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously. The dentist brought up one previous appointment my daughter missed because she had a fever and told me that she had waited three hours for her. When I tried to discuss the repeated issues we have experienced since then, I was essentially told that the dentist is too busy to deal with the issues involving the phone staff and that we could find another dental office. I then asked to speak with the office manager and was told to call back another time. I understand that schedules change and that dental offices are busy. I also understand that caring for someone with severe dental anxiety can be challenging. What has been most upsetting is that we were trying to work with the dentist and had already established a plan to help my daughter successfully receive treatment. After the repeated delays, communication problems, problems carrying out the anxiety plan, and today's conversation, we no longer feel comfortable continuing her care here and will be looking for another dentist.
