Olympus Board Shop is amazing! I bought a Riviera Nugget from Jeremy, brand new and got the colors I wanted with a great price! Jeremy prides himself in excellent customer service and is extremely knowledgeable about the boards and paddles that he carries. There is a lot of science behind the paddles and I wasn't aware of the amount of detail and research that goes into it. Olympus also does a lot of snowboard rentals too, which I may consider for the first time since I was younger. I just feel rusty at it, that's all. I always enjoy conversing with Jeremy and his staff. They do yoga on stand up paddleboards, lessons, tours, and board rentals too. A great group of people having a great time. That's what life is all about! read more

Olympus Board Shop - Just picked up my new 8' Riviera Nugget! Thanks Jeremy! - Ski & Snowboard Shops Near Me - Carson, California

Had to get my snowboard and my girls snowboard waxed and ready for opening day at Snow Summit and chose this shop to do the work. Called at 11am for a quote and turn around time and was set to go! They told me it would take two days but Gino and Jeremy, I think thats how you spell it, and the rest of the crew hooked it up and had it done in 2 hours! They are highly knowledgeable in the sport and go out of their way to satisfy your needs. I own a K2 party platter powder board and was shopping around for a park board. I asked what their recommendation was. Within seconds Gino and Jeremey had like 8 boards on the wall for me to show my options. All happened within a blink of an eye LOL. They offer A+ customer service and best of all the ambiance is friendlier than a bunch of girls selling girl scout cookies! Thanks guys see you on the white chedddaaarrrrrr!!! Calling all adrenaline junkies. Come to Olympus Board shop for your board needs!!!! read more

I don't think I'll go anywhere else for SUP rentals. I've used Olympus 4 times this summer. They are friendly, informative, and punctual. I like that they bring all the equipment to the dock. This makes the experience much more enjoyable, especially since we've been inviting friends who have never done it before. We have also been bringing our kids and teens. When you get to work with a company who respects participants of different ages, that's really special. Jeremy and Beau are awesome. Thanks, Olympus!!! read more

Thanks to Jeremy and his staff for helping me choose the perfect new snowboard before heading out for the weekend. Jeremy took the time to know my "riding style," offered great recommendations and made the decision easy. Fair prices and always happy to support a local small business with even greater service. read more

I've always had awesome experiences at Olympus! Jeremy the owner is super knowledgable, friendly, and passionate. First time I walked in just to check the place out I ended sticking around for an hour just talking to him even though I wasn't there to buy anything. I went back recently to get some repairs done on my board, and Rafa and Jeff working in the shop are incredible. Not only were they able to complete my repairs right there while I waited, they answered all my questions about snowboard tuning and gave me some advice on how to do some more minor repairs myself. Highly recommend this shop. read more

Olympus board shop is the best place in the area to rent from. Every summer my family and I rent from Jeremy at least 3-4 times and he's always in an upbeat mood and is fun to be around and talk to when he's not busy getting more people on the water. His rental rate of 25/ 2 hours is hard to beat and gives plenty of time to paddle around the Redondo marina which is where he launches from. From the very start Jeremy was honest with us our first time going out. Other places may charge for beginner lessons which Jeremy showed is in 1 minute how to stand up from sitting and which part to paddle with. Jeremy is the best at what he does and we will continue to rent with him until we buy our own paddle boards. read more

Staff here are super awesome and so helpful!! Ive been bring my snowboard to Olympus Board Shop for a few years now. It's always a great experience when I come in. The staff are very informative. They let me know what's really needed or not and they also give me some tips to help me keep my board in good shape longer. Price and turn around time is awesome! They always do their best to work with your schedule. My friend went in and was able to get her board back the same day for a little more than what it takes for next day turn around! I'm so grateful to have this shop close by and even more grateful that they are open even during damn Corona! I definitely recommend Olympus board shop! read more

This is an awesome small business. Whether you're a first time snowboarder or a seasoned rider, Jeremy and his associates really help you choose the right gear for the mountain. His rentals are well taken care of and regularly maintained. He's also got a great selection of boards. They are all so friendly and patient with answering your questions. read more

I stopped in to Olympus on the recommendation of a friend since I was looking to demo a snowboard. The selection was great and all of the staff was super helpful and knowledgeable (with a special shout-out to Brick). Brick was able to listen to me explain my riding style and offer suggestions for what I might enjoy. I would recommend Olympus Board Shop to anyone in the market for a new board! read more

I busted the edge of my snowboard pretty severely and was convinced that it was irreparable. Luckily, Beau at Olympus assessed the damage, listed out the options for repair and to my pleasant surprise was able to complete the repair with surgical precision. I basically got a therapist & a doctor at this shop. They helped me grieve/ cope with the initial conditional of my board then rushed that board to the operating table to save its life! read more

Outstanding service they had everything we needed for our trip to Big Bear and we will definitely come back and rent again from them. Jeremy was awesome and very helpful. read more

Just wanted to throw some mad props out to all the dudes at Olympus for helping me out as always! Really wanted to leave a compliment to Brick as he was getting ready to go on his break, but scratched his break to welcome me with open arms. Not only did Brick help me out, he took detailed time to help me with a damaged snowboard and provided me with great information! Stoked that there's still people willing to help like that! Thank you Brick, you da man! Thank you to Olympus as always! read more

Jeremy and his team of very experienced staff completely changed my snowboarding experience! Back when, I used to just kind of like snowboarding. Then I heard of the ability to demo boards to find the best fit. These guys were super patient, changed up my stance to a very natural position, which saved my knees, and ultimately got me into the best board for me...happened to be from Never Summer. After a couple demos, I was in love with my West! It has a completely different feel than my old Burton. It's almost impossible to catch an edge so now I'm smiling down the whole mountain, screaming for joy at times! My visits with Jeremy completely changed my relationship with snowboarding...lol...this makes him sound like a therapist. But seriously, go in and say hi. He's just slightly sarcastic ;-) read more

I'm from around the area and have heard of this place from a handful of friends over the years. I've always rented whenever I went up to the mountains and thought this year was a great time to invest in my own snowboard. We came in last night and it was pretty busy considering everyone is getting ready to go to Big Bear for the weekend. The sales associate who helped me, Gino, was great! Very friendly and knew his stuff. I'm still very beginner and he showed me a bunch of different types of boards and found the right board for my skill set. He also showed me different bindings and added them on. Super excited to go up to the mountains this weekend to try my new board! read more

Went in to get the used board I bought for my daughter tuned up and started chatting with Jeremy about my plans for the board and her. He asked me how tall she was and then commenced to give me some super helpful advice about the best board for her and even offered to swap the one I bought for something he had in the back so she'd have a better experience. He then suggested I come in with my daughter to get a better understanding of what would be best for her. The vibe of the place was great and I left there feeling like I wanted to come back and spend some dough. I called a friend on the way home from there just to tell about the excellent customer service. Olympus, you just became my local shop. read more

My cousin introduced me to this fully loaded shop with boards. They have a wide selection of boards. They keep your record of sizing which I great. You can just call in let them know when you'll be picking up and they'll set you up. Everything inside is well organized and they are on it. I highly recommend Jeremy for his boys for taking care of us. read more

No customer service whatsoever! It's a really small place and the place was messy. Peter helped us but was really short on his answers and your typical salesperson. He was no help at all. Prior to coming...we called to ask about prices on waxing and tuning...and the person on the line just said "it's on the website" and hangs up. We had to call again and explain that we had no access to the website would like to know their prices....very UNPROFESSIONAL. Still went since it was the closest to us but never again!!! If I could give it NO stars...I would! read more

Been coming here for the past few years, awesome service every time and quick turnaround on board waxing.

First time snowboarding and needed some gear. A friend of mine recommended this shop and I'm glad I went! Quick and great customer service! Stopped by on a Tuesday to get my boots and board size. Was in and out in less than 10 min! It cost $25 to rent both the boots and board for one day. Picked up my boots/board Friday night, board all day Saturday, and easy return on Sunday! read more

Really great service and turn around time was great. One of the guys spent a lot of time with me trying to figure out if my bindings were the correct fit on the board which was great because I had no idea that there were different stances that people took. It was really great information to have and I appreciate the effort and time he gave to make sure I left with a smile and great service. Will definitely return. read more

Yes, I know snowboarding season is over here in Southern California but that doesn't mean you should neglect your snowboards! I took my snowboard here to get waxed before my last trip to Mammoth. The owner, Jeremy, and his staff was very helpful and friendly. Jeremy suggested a couple of different settings for my board to improve on jumping and carving. I was able to fix the stance in Mammoth and it really did help out. He also suggested having it tuned up the next time because I beat up my board so bad, so I'll definitely be back soon for that. I brought along a friend with me because he was looking for a new snowboard and Jeremy gave him a really good deal on a new one. If my board wasn't still pretty new, I would've bought one too. If you're looking to rent or buy gear for snowboarding or surfing this is the place to go to! read more

This review update is totally for a different thing, but still a solid 5 stars for customer service and adventure. Wow!!! My first SUP! Jeremy was super friendly! I never got interested in doing anything with water or ocean, but as soon as I saw his pic with the blue whale, I was so eager to join him on his next expedition to catch them on their migration, so I waited almost a year. Well, the time finally came, we ventured out but we didn't get to see the blue whales, it was so far out of the ocean. The group decided to hang out in the middle of the ocean, just pretty much chatting and sharing cookies. I was almost bailing out on this because I didn't take any lesson before this adventure, but Jeremy assured me that it would be fine, hence he gave me a longer board than my friend who has taken lesson before, to give me more stability. It was totally working, I loved this experience, though the deep water kinda scared me and the waves from the big boat, but he was so encouraging, I might end up doing it again sometime in the future. read more

AMAZING ! what more can I say ? This review is for the stand up Paddle board tour around Palos Verdes. Jeremy and Taco were awesome at giving instructions and taking the time with each one in our group. Everyone felt comfortable and at ease in the water. We were all up and doing it in no time at all. Only one person couldn't stand up in the whole group of 10 that went and that was due to his weight and size. They provided the Lesson, the rental of the boards, even wet suits and a guided tour , Well worth the price. I highly recommend these guys if you want a killer work out and are looking to try stand up paddle boarding. Some of us were able to jump off and do a little snorkeling near the kelp beds and that was cool. They have everything on a big mobile trailer and when your on the water they have dry bags for your phones and keys, they thought of everything. Everyone in our group had a blast and you will too.... give it try you wont be disappointed... 5 solid stars awesome customer service. read more

The people here are friendly and give good instruction. My second time out doing SUP aka Stand Up Paddle Boarding. Helen G. Set up the appointment and told them about my situation. I had tried it before but was unsuccessful and I was so bothered by it I didn't want to try it again. Granted my first experience sucked I didn't really get proper training on how to do it plus maybe my weight had something to do with it at that previous time. These ladies were helpful and they were really encouraging and I got an extra wide board for my situation and ultimately I had a great time. I was successful and enjoyed my time in the ocean. They also do yoga classes which I watched a class in session. Maybe a few more SUP before I try the yoga. Two thumbs up to these people! read more

What a nice local joint. I am new to snowboarding and was referred to this shop, specifically Taco. The guy that referred me swore by them and promised I would be in excellent hands. He was right. Both Jeremy (owner) and Taco were so sweet and so informative. I did purchase a board and bindings from here and feel really good about my purchase. I will definitely be referring my westside people out to Olympus not only for the fair prices, but also for the quality of people so you can walk away happy you did business with them. I do intend on giving these guys more business - thank you for being real ! *Note: the shop is small and can get a bit cramped but don't let that scare you away - it's worth the wait! read more

I like this shop. Honestly. There are not that many locations in the South Bay that sells snowboarding equipment and I found this little gem over 10 years ago. I bought my first board here. I take people here to get their rental gear. I have called a few times and the guy answering the phone did not have the best phone etiquette, but that's to be expected. The staff working there are all boarders of some sort and it's not like this a corporate job so they might be a bit rough around the edges. read more

In a world where customer service is dead, Adam and everyone else in the store are extremely patient, friendly, and knowledgeable, I wish every store had people like these. I've been snowboarding for over 15yrs with the same gear and decided to upgrade. The bigger chain stores couldn't really answer my questions the way I'd hoped. Everyone here knows their stuff and take the time to get it right, giving you options in different price ranges without being pushy. Mlexcellent service, much appreciated! read more
