However, the lady working the counter guessed my boyfriend's size correctly and went to the back to see if they had any blazers or jackets in his size, so that was nice of her. Prices seemed kind of high for what they had, often several dollars more than a similar item would be priced at Goodwill. The best part of this store was the books/music/media. They had a surprisingly large selection of new literary fiction and book-club-type books at reasonable prices -- definitely worth checking out. There are also some fun random things, like the train-rides-of-the-world VHS set or the bins of vintage cookbooks. The way the furniture area is set up, it feels like a cozy reading nook, and they probably wouldn't mind if you sat down to flip through a book or two! After we left, I was hovering outside and checking out the donut stand, and the owner came out and coaxed us into coming over and trying an apple fritter. I mean, who can resist a homemade donut with homemade icing? The donut was dense, cakey, with tasty apple chunks and very sweet icing. A decent thrift store, worth stopping if you're thrifting in the area. And the little donut stand outside is good for a coffee and a sweet treat if you need a pick-me-up!
