Then, the color they recommended, which was more of an ivory, looks terrible next to my white cabinets in my kitchen. I had asked the designer to recommend the best blind color seeing my decor, and she assured me the cream would look really great and soften the look. Well, she was wrong in that a blind with whiter undertones was absolutely what should have been ordred, not ivory since my cabinets were WHITE. When I called to tell them they don't look good next to my cabinets and that I took their recommendation, they said it was my mistake, I shouldn't have ordered them. When I said I took Katie, the designer's recommendation, they said it didn't matter, it was my decision and they would not exchange them. When I asked if they would consider a break on two cornices to cover the cream strip near the white cabinets above the blinds, they said NO. This was your fault and we will not give you any concessions. HRMPHHH. Go to Lowes or somewhere else to avoid this company. For the limited number of items I order for $3000, I could have bought from a much better company that actually knew what to design, and treats their customers with respect and understanding.

They wanted to start me with $10 dollars an hour (which I was okay with)... Because they said after 90 days you will get a raise. After 9 months I was working very hard and they gave me 30 cents even though I finished 40 draperies every day. It wasn't that difficult of a job, it was a very dark company because everyone there started to bully me and gave me a hard time. Every single day. Starting from the owner and ending with youngest person working there. They started to think I was recording them, but now looking back I wish I did, but I just wanted to let them know I was there to work and not for any high school drama. But again the boss wasn't very peaceful about this all together. just wanted me to have no say and quit. After that the boss started to put my friends against me, again I started to have patience. For them it was enough, they found themselves in a big serious problem. After we worked 3 months overtime the boss took a vacation for about a week and after she came back on April 1st 2019. she talked to my supervisor and everyone and made a plan to fire me without no reason. She turned the lights off (they didn't want me to catch them doing the dirty works). and she called me in the office. Saying " I have to let you go, because you sowed four draperies together before six months ago and you hurt Linda and Cathy". Which that wasn't the truth in the first place! What I'm saying in this review is the truth ..... This place is like HELL I need to let everyone know , if your interested in this job watch out .... Because it's too much to deal with. I NEVER MISSED day and they NEVER gave me a vacation.

We were given a 4-6 week window from the time the blinds were ordered to when they would be ready to install. We had them installed towards the beginning of that window, and the installment went very smoothly. We absolutely love the finished product, and will work with Budget Blinds again when we update the window coverings in our sun room. The only reason we give Budget Blinds 4 stars instead of 5 is that some of the blinds had a little damage from the way they were packaged, and replacement parts had to be ordered.

My Journey with McCloud Windows has been amazing, way above my expectations. It started in March…read morewith a phone conversation with Joe. I had sent an online message through their website outlining what I was looking for. I had been through several visits from other companies. I had gotten a whole lot of gimmicks, smoke and mirror special offers, and high pressure 'sign today' sales. I was over it. I asked McCloud if they could give me an honest quote on just the four windows that needed replaced the most. Joe responded and asked a few questions. I sent him pictures and dimensions of what I needed. There were no issues providing a quote and committing to only four windows, when everyone else had 6-7 window minimum. In addition to the minimums, the prices were more with less windows at the other places (discounts for doing all 17). McCloud had the same price for me, no matter how many I ordered. There were also no confusing buy 2 get 2 hard to understand offers. Just upfront competitive pricing. Joe was fantastic on the phone and provided great information and was able to help answer questions based on his past experience. I agreed to have Joe come out and take a look at the windows. We talked through all our options, discussed various ways we could order/replace (Four windows, just the front windows, just the second floor, etc.). All my questions and scenarios were talked through, with zero pressure. He was there discussing and putting up with my questions so long his wife called to check on him! After talking with Joe, researching the company, and understanding the quality and price, we actually decided to move forward with replacing almost all of our windows. The only one we did not replace was a half round. I decided to pass on this one for now because Joe took the time to explain to me that because of its shape it is a bit more expensive. Based on the price, and other factors, I was able to put that one off and will have McCloud replace that in a few years. This was possible because they are willing to do just one window. No one else that I had in for an estimate would have done that. This week our windows were installed. We had the best installation crew in Brad and Brad. My wife said, of all of the contractors/workers that have been in our house, none have been as respectful and courteous as these two. They were professional from the beginning. They explained everything and took great pride in what they were doing. The install looks fantastic. The caulking is nearly immaculate. There was no mess to clean, the drywall needed to be trimmed and there is not a spec of dust to be found. The guys were super efficient and we could not have asked for a better experience. Today Joe came by and completed a final walkthrough to make sure everything went as expected. In addition to making sure we were satisfied, he walked through the lifetime warranty and all other post install details. We could not be more pleased with this process from start to finish! I would recommend McCloud to anyone looking for quality windows at a great price. We did have one issue, the bathroom window was supposed to be opaque, but showed up clear. Things happen. We discussed it with Joe on our walkthrough today and I am sure we will see the correct window soon.

Five Star Painting is Five Stars!…read more I cannot speak highly enough about Five Star Painting! This is saying something given that my husband and I are both quite picky about most things. We had our 1,400 square foot condo painted, and it was a brilliant job. We've wanted to do this for more than a year, and with both of us now working from home, found this an opportune time. However, there was also concerns about coronavirus, and having people in my home. FSP Rep Colson was very understanding of my concerns about being safe. I know it's a focus of this company's as well. We found the staff to be friendly, conscientious, and very good at their jobs. The entire team was great. The person taping the baseboards, doors, and windows was so incredibly precise and fast. The lead painter was amazing. While on stilts, he painted a perfect freehand edge at the top of every wall. Freehand! When we made suggestions or requests, they were more than happy to comply. With a smile. The team wanted to make sure we were happy with our home. This team went above and beyond to make sure we were completely happy. Now at the end of this job, we're completely in love with the colors we've chosen, and the beautiful way they were applied to the walls of our home. I will not hesitate to recommend Five Star Painting to my family and friends. In fact, I already have! High quality work, professional staff, and reasonably priced. We could not be happier. Thank you to the FSP team that made our home so incredibly beautiful! ~ Mike and Julie Burge Thank you also to Sherman Williams for beautiful paint colors. Moonlit Orchid just makes me swoon. It is gorgeous. And then my Knockout Orange! I adore it. It brings me Joy! My husband had to be talked into it. In the end I think he likes it. It was his suggestion to add it to the bathroom shower walls!

That said, the quality of the job done at my new house was so poor that I was compelled to give the public my experience of 5 Star's service quality for our property in the western suburbs of Columbus. I'll lead with the positives because it wasn't all bad. They were responsive and quite friendly with my wife (who handled the majority of the scheduling) while we were setting up the consultation. They were flexible with our times, and the site/project manager himself (Cole) was great to work with. He was flexible, heard our concerns after the fact, and did his best to fix them. We have no qualms with him or his attempts to rectify our situation. All that being said, this was the poorest paint job I've ever seen, and I used to paint interiors to pay for my schooling. I've seen slop jobs before and this was unlike anything I've ever experienced. Just to name a few of the issues... 1. Sanding dust was EVERYWHERE in our house upon moving in. No one cleaned it up after they finished, on either of our floors. Scratch that...my wife cleaned it up during our move in. Basic sanding rule is that you clean up the dust afterwards. Especially when it's not your house and you're doing a job for someone else. They didn't, so we had to breathe that stuff while our boxes were coming in. 2. There was paint dripping in every room. This is no exaggeration. I'm talking about our stove, outlets, bathroom floors, office carpet, curtain rods, etc. You name it and chances are it had paint dripping on it. 3. Clumped paint in the upstairs hallway, meaning rather than changing the can out they opted to scrape the bottom of the barrel. 4. Evidence of either poor/no taping around the edges, paint dripping onto several outlets. These are only to name a few of the things we had to deal with. We had them come back and fix whatever we could find on short notice, and to be fair they did try to correct some of the issues. But several weeks out we are still finding problems. Entirely unacceptable. Over this entire episode I started losing track of the issues at around #29-30. It would be comical if it weren't so infuriating. I have no idea what the problem was or why there was such a breakdown of quality control. But whatever it was, it should never have been our problem to deal with. We paid several grand for this job and, to be frank, I could have hired a few HS students from the school down the road for half that and they would have done a better job. Avoid this paint company. Five Star Painting of Plain City and Powell" What they failed to mention in this public comment, however, was that we HAD been in contact with the franchise owner over email indicating our disappointment, frustration, and concerns. This last communication was sent on 09/09/2026 (several days before our review, we wanted to give them time to respond and make this right.). We also informed him directly that we would be leaving a review so that others could be informed of the shoddy work. We were ghosted and completely ignored, thus we left a review. We still have not received any communication from them as of this posting. While they may appear to be presenting an outward appearance of attending to customer concern, please note that our experience has been one met largely with private silence. Not exactly striving for "quality service" as we were expecting. Yet another reason to find another paint company. Cheers, Grant
