Craig was professional, extremely knowledgeable, and upfront from the beginning. He initially quoted a very fair price for a like-for-like pump replacement -- much lower than the $12K quote I got elsewhere. I ended up upgrading to a 1.5 HP pump, which raised the cost a bit, but the installation was done well and everything worked great. Craig and his team did a solid job draining and cleaning the pool, and I appreciated the bundled pricing offer to keep costs manageable. Where things fell a bit short was in communication. The monthly pool cleaning service was quoted at $170, which felt a bit high, and when I asked about flexibility, communication started to taper off. I also didn't receive a walkthrough on how to use the new pump -- just the manual. Overall, Craig really knows pools and gets the job done efficiently. If the communication and follow-through had been a little stronger, this would've easily been a 5-star experience.

I was told that your response to the repair was that you don't do repairs and that it needed to be repaired before services would be reinstated. My review was on the lack of repair options, now if she misunderstood that's her/our fault (see I'm holding her/us accountable). No need to try and air out something that I already said we didn't own up to-payment. If you can make it out on Wednesday you'll get your fee and I'd like for you to provide a quote on repairs, if not, thank you for your service and best of luck in your business.

RYAN responded, conducted an inspection of the spa, and suggested a "clean sweep" service, which included cleaning the interior and exterior of the spa cabinet, removing pest evidence, replacing a non-working part, draining the spa, cleaning it, refilling it, and getting the chemicals back in order. RYAN was very knowledgable and friendly. Regarding the cost, it was very reasonable. At no time did it appear RYAN was trying to sale anything; just an honest inspection without any hidden fees. In addition, we were able to have the work scheduled and completed within two days. At the conclusion of the work, RYAN provided before and after photos. Well we went on vacation and left instructions with my father in law to add chemicals while we were gone. Unfortunately he completely forgot about it for 2 weeks in the middle of summer, and we came back to a swamp! Thank god I discovered Yelp and found Matt! Several of the pool guys we called had suggested draining our pool and acid washing it. Matt pointed out that not only would that not work with our pool,(It is a fiberglass pool) but that it was going to end up costing almost double what it would cost to do it with their process! They warned us that it might take a couple weeks to straighten out our pool that was a swamp, and I don't know how they did it, but it cleaned up to perfect in less than 3 days. In all of our years of having a pool service, A splash above far exceeded our expectations.
