I forgot how much I love the whole vibe of a book store. The books, the people studying the shelves, touching books and scores of different magazines. I also forgot how hard it is not to stroll down each aisle and pause at the tables with books from new to those on sale and not want each one to add to the stack already on my bedside table. I found a cook book and managed to ignore the siren song of the books and left with it. Don't forget to stop at a book store. It's good for your eyes and your soul.

I love the racks in the main part of the store that highlight new paperbacks, staff recommendations, award winners, local authors, etc. Their "highlighted" books are 20% off. I picked up Anne Patchett's latest and a new historical novel about Anne Boleyn. (Both 20% off.) I also bought a staff recommendation and David Sedaris' new book of essays. Honestly, this is a dangerous spot for me to shop BUT make sure you keep track of your loyalty points card!

The store is beautifully decorated, and it's clear that the staff is very knowledgeable about local interest and insightful recommendations. They also have lunch options and stuff (think sandwiches, etc.). Overall, you can cover a majority of your dining needs at this place, so it's a good option to meet with friends, or even for a casual date. - The latte I had tasted pretty good (the espresso, I mean; a touch on the "too hot" side). - The prices aren't unreasonable, all things considered; a 16 oz latte was $5.50. But to give gross people like Bolz a platform to influence less aware Christians is... ew. Or as we say amongst Christian brothers and sisters, it shows "... a lack of discernment." Edit: My wife went for her own coffee crawl thing later in the day, and she didn't end up with a half-empty cup, so the complaint at this point is more about inconsistency (or potentially over-steaming the milk), as opposed to me feeling ripped off.
