Finally had the chance to stop by Little House of Books today! What a fabulous little book shop!…read moreThe small town feel and cozy ambiance reminded me of Stars Hollow (Gilmore Girls fans, anyone?). The place is adorably decorated and has a nice size, curated book collection with something to offer for everyone. I was greeted by the owner who was so kind and also rang me up. My books were packaged so nicely with decorative tissue paper too! I found two books here that have been on my list to grab: Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid and Crying in H-Mart by Michelle Zauner (singer in the band Japanese Breakfast!). Both books are paperback which is my preference, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that Crying in H-Mart was 30% off! There is an area for kids, a cafe area serving coffee and drinks, and a nice outdoor patio area as well. This place has it all! If you're in the area, be sure to stop by and browse!

The selection is massive, and the staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable, especially in the sale area at the back of the store. I also love the kids area, which has a train table and puppets that children can play with; it's a great outing on a winter day.

The coffee bar surpasses expectations. The drinks are great, especially because of their unique syrups and drink combinations. I have enjoyed lattes and fruit flavored lemonades, and my favorites have been the strawberry matcha and the blue velvet latte, which featured blueberry roobios syrup. The employees have also been very nice and it is cute inside. There is space to sit and read or work near the coffee bar - you are able to take your computer and work there with a drink from the coffee bar, without even needing to buy a book. It is a great multifunctional community space.

Some employees play music which I found distracting. Another employee seemed to have monitored me during my entire visit; maybe she thought I was going to steal a $4.99 book. Idk The place is not as clean as it could be, such as the bathroom, and some of the chairs need to be wiped off or completely replaced as they are stained and have an odor. I would not get any beverages from here unless it's sealed. The hours fluctuate often. I have made one too many trips during the weekday, weekend, daytime or afternoon to find the door locked. And I'm not aware that there's communication given ahead of time about their fluctuating hours for the given day. If you need to get your fix from a book, just buy it because there's no guarantee you can read it the next time you plan to.

We love to go to Half Price Books locations and see what titles are in our favorite sections and if our favorite authors have any gems sitting on a shelf. This location is tucked in a lower level of the plaza with ample parking because of the lack of stores on this side. The store is definitely kept up to date with fall displays at the front to celebrate the season. They had plenty of staff and were able to take care of us quickly when we were ready to checkout.

This particular store is in the Village Square Mall. For many years, I purchased books through the business's website. Most recently, my husband and I shopped in this physical store. My husband felt interested in looking at books about software and gaming. He saw some books that he liked. However, he saw one book that he already owns and that he said was not worth the $75 price tag. Otherwise, I felt interested in the books about photography, film, pets, and the social sciences. This store has many other sections of books, including home repair, interior design, gardening, fashion, architecture, cooking, history, science, travel, language, crime, children's, etcetera. Some books are collectibles such as first editions and signed copies. This store also sells calendars, greeting cards, board games, and more. I will give a neutral rating for this physical store, because the business's website has a significantly larger selection of merchandise that is available for shipping.
