The book selection is fairly mainstream, but if you're a fan of genre novels (Romance, Westerns, Sci-Fi, etc.), or a budget buyer, The Book Bug has you covered. On this particular trip, I was looking for multiple paperback copies of a 70s novel (harder to find). Not only did they have EXACTLY what I needed, but I managed to find another unexpected treasure. Finally tally was 8 books for just under $12. I highly recommend them, if you're a paperback junkie!

I was talked down to and treated horribly anytime i asked a question. I assume the worker was mad since I interuped her smoking outside and being on her phone. I asked about trading in the books for credit after looking around and finding very little in the children's section. She poi tedly told me to get out of the store. When .I asked why she was being so rude. She informed me she retains the right to refuse service to anyone. When I asked for my books back, since she had already put them behind the counter, she informed me "Nope, you donated them so get out". When I attempted to talk to her about her actions, getting my books back, and her previous mentions of trade in values. She told me the store does not do trade-ins or credit. I was then informed that she would call the cops if I did not leave she wouldwcall the cops. I did nothing wrong and this "lady" essentially kicked me out of the store, stole the books I brought in as trade, told me that the sign painted on the building is a lie, and treated me like absolute garbage.

I special order Buffy, Angel, Charmed and other comics for myself and my kids and have a file. Huge selection of used paperback and hard cover books CHEAP, other they have a trade-in program on used books. One of the only comic or used book stores in this area of the country. I've even known them to ship comics to old customers who have moved far away on a weekly basis - very personal service. I spend quite a bit of time there :D

As…read moreI got off the highway I noticed that there was a sign for the Sikeston Factory Outlet Stores and figured that I could make a quick stop before getting back on the highway and heading home. I should have just passed on by and saved myself the time, because the the selection here was extremely limited to only a handful of stores. Stores were pretty much limited to VF Outlet, Kitchen Collections, Rue 21, Famous Footwear, Dress Barn, L'eggs/Hanes/Bali/Playtex, and G.H. Bass and Co with the remaining storefronts either sitting empty or taking on a beauty shop, and school of cosmetology. I did managed to stop in to G.H. Bass and the VF Outlet and discovered they offered a decent selection with reasonable prices, however I didn't see anything at either stores and left empty handed. Not sure I can really recommend this as a stop, unless you lived in the area I would pass this on by if you are driving down I-55.

Nice womens clothing store, Bass outlet is great, undergarment outlet is good, Carters childrens clothing is excellent, ladies clothing and plus is nice, as is the larger outlet on the southeast side. But, thats it. There used to be other stores, Ive spent 2-3 hours there, but i was done in less than an hour this time.
