Swordfish Puttanesca - the best swordfish I've ever had.

I think I had the best swordfish I've ever had. Everything waWhile on the smallish side for a restaurant and you have to make reservations ahead of time, it was worth it!

Texted about 45 minutes ahead of time before we left Plymouth and had 2 bar seats ready for us when we arrived. Parking was easy across the street although I'm not sure this would be the case in the summer. It did seem like a lot of street parking was available as well. Cool cocktail list, interesting menu and fantastic service. Bartenders were friendly, welcoming and offered great recommendations. Everything we had to eat was fantastic and I can't wait to return to try more of the menu. This time we ordered the scallops and bacon, Caesar salad, New Orleans style shrimp, swordfish puttanesca and cheesecake for dessert. Many gluten free options as well and the staff was very knowledgeable which my wife appreciated. Awesome restaurant!

The food was amazing. From the starter soup to the main meal (& then churros). Everything was delicious. I can see why you need reservations. The place itself is very small which gives it a more intimate atmosphere which I enjoyed. Our waiter was very attentive and explained every that came with our meal. I will definitely be coming back.

    Haddock and pesto risotto

I've been hearing so many great things about this restaurant since they opened and finally got to check it out. It's cute, not too big, lovely bar and solid date night spot. As someone who's fortunate enough to try really great eats, I wasn't blown away by my meal, the dessert however was unbelievably tasty. I had a special, haddock with a pasta and pesto. It was super dry and the pasta was under seasoned. We tried the wings, the sauce was on-point, but the wings weren't crispy. The hubby had a Peruvian inspired lomo saltado which was good. Okay so this dessert was amazing. I'll go back just for the pistachio croissant bread pudding. So I've been struggling with adding this part and decided to add it in hopes the restaurant does some staff training to ensure patrons are 100% satisfied especially when you're dropping $200+ on dinner. My husband ordered a pain killer. It's a pretty classic drink and when they brought it over he was confused because it didn't look like the usual. The waitress commented that they use clarified coconut vs coconut cream. It would be nice to include that in the menu description and honestly, it wasn't good. He took maybe two sips from it and left it there. It was noticeable that the drink wasn't satisfactory and it was also noticeable that the waitress saw he wasn't drinking it and never asked about it even after coming to clear plates, pack leftovers, bring dessert menus, bring and clear dessert and coffee. That was unfortunate because it left an impression. It won't stop me from trying the place once again, but it was a real bummer.

We had our 4 year anniversary & enjoyed it very much. The staff and (owner) were super attentive to our needs. They were pleasant & kind & aimed to please. The sirloin steak special was outstanding. The steak melted in your mouth. The craft cocktails & pistachio bread pudding dessert was amazing. I also recommend the Brussels for an appetizer. WOW. If you want a cozy, intimate atmosphere with coastal food you need to stop in.

As expected, everything wad fantastic. I'd definitely recommend reservations as it's a tight space. The staff were great. The brussel sprouts were amazing. The Caesar salad with salmon was so good. The crispy chicken add on was also great. The churros were the perfect way to finish the meal. I can't wait to get back here!

So good that we cancelled our reservation we had the next evening elsewhere and came right back. With that being said, let's get right into it. The hostess seated us at a beautiful corner table outside looking out to the ocean and the bridge entrance and skyline of New Bedford. The view was simply amazing. Our waitress Bri was, for lack of a better word? Awesome! She was friendly, patient attentive and made some of the best cocktails my wife and I had and no they weren't watered down like most places do but again, perfect in every way. Right amount of everything. Everything we ordered came hot, fresh and most of all delicious also a reason why we chose to visit a second time. The next visit we were blessed enough to have a table in the exact same location and and again everything was amazing. From our server Peyton, great great guy! To the drinks he made to the food service. What an epic time we had! On behalf of my wife and I I would just like to say THANK YOU so so much for a wonderful anniversary weekend. We are both looking forward to coming back sooner than later. Continue being great. You have our full support!!!

The fried combo is a fine choice with the aforementioned mollusk plus scrod. I was off regular chowder for a while due to my clear RI obsession but with the excellent Fathoms concoction I was happy to revisit the "regular" version. And given the relative dearth of great iced tea in "the world's best city" I was thrilled to find a great one at Fathoms.

Our…read moreserver, Ray, was incredibly helpful, offering great suggestions for wine, appetizers, and entrées. We started with the calamari with spicy peppers and salsa rossa, which was delicious, well seasoned and very generous in portion. The Caesar salad with lemon-garlic dressing and a parmigiano crisp was perfectly balanced and fresh. The cacio e pepe arancini were a delightful surprise and quickly became a favorite at the table. For entrées, the scallops with risotto were outstanding. The Chicken Bosco and Chicken Francaise were both amazing: tender, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. For dessert, my mom loved the caramel apple cannoli, which paired perfectly with her cappuccino. It was an excellent meal from start to finish, with attentive service and great food. We'll definitely be back.

The zuppa toscana was flavorful but arrived a bit cold, which affected the texture. (Not necessarily their fault) but it paired well with the complimentary rosemary bread. It was so soft and easily the highlight of the meal, though the butter was quite salty. The chicken Milanese was cooked well, and the arugula and tomatoes were fresh, but the sweet, Italian dressing adjacent sauce didn't work for me. My fiancé ordered the pizza which was also just okay. We topped it with balsamic drizzle which elevated it. Overall, I wasn't very impressed and will likely stick to my usual spots, like Ma Raffa's, for Italian. They also forgot the silverware I requested, which wasn't a big deal but worth mentioning. All in all, I'm sure there are better things to order from here, but I wasn't wowed by anything I tried.

As a native New Englander, I don't say this lightly: this was one of the best seafood meals we've…read morehad in a very long time. Phenomenal oysters and shrimp; seared tuna was stellar! We made the rookie mistake of showing up without a reservation on a Tuesday night, and the restaurant was packed. The hostess, who was in training, handled the situation with such poise. She was warm, thoughtful, and transparent about the 45-minute wait, which we genuinely appreciated. What really set the tone, though, was Will. I later learned he was one of the owners, but you never would have guessed it. He wasn't standing back overseeing the dining room; instead, he was in it, working just as hard as everyone else. He welcomed us personally, empathized, and even offered us a cocktail while we waited. As we sat nearby, we watched him gently coach the hostess in training. There was humor, kindness, and encouragement, balanced with clear expectations: simple reminders like making sure every guest is greeted the moment they walk through the door. It was leadership by example. He carried himself with humility, intention, and a work ethic that he clearly models for his entire team. Watching those interactions made me appreciate the restaurant even before we sat down to eat. By the end of the meal, the wait didn't matter one bit. In fact, after experiencing both the hospitality and the food, we completely understood why the restaurant was full on a Tuesday night. The service was exceptional. I'll update this review once I remember our server's name because she absolutely deserves recognition. She was attentive, incredibly hardworking, and gracefully managed not only our table but the many families with children around us. The manager also stopped by to check on us, and it felt entirely sincere. The model started at the top and was clearly part of their ethos. They were so generous which is why we recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area! The food was every bit as impressive as the service. The shrimp cocktail featured some of the largest, freshest shrimp I've had in years--perfectly chilled and absolutely delicious. The oysters were impeccably fresh and beautifully presented. Every dish reinforced why New England seafood has the reputation it does. Great restaurants serve great food. Exceptional restaurants create a culture that guests can actually feel. This place does both. We'll absolutely be back--and next time, we'll be smart enough to make a reservation.
