We are a young couple who went to this cafe on a busy Saturday afternoon. Not only was our service slow and inattentive but after we had finished our meal, we were still sitting at the table and decided to roll a cigarette each before we left. Before we had even the chance to pay the manager approached us and rudely told us that what we were doing was 'illegal', and that we were to pay and leave the premises immediately. We were then further shocked when we were told told to 'piss off' when we questioned politely why it was an issue, and were told in a threatening manner that the police would be called. She then proceeded to threaten us that the chef of the establishment was going to come and 'kick us out' of the cafe. Using no rude language, just being very surprised and insulted by her derogatory comments on how we looked and the apparent 'mess' we had made, (the table had no tobacco on it), we then proceeded to refuse pay on the principle we had been victimised after a very mediocre meal. We were then told that because of our apparent behaviour we were then going to be barred from every cafe in Lincoln. This place is discriminatory and ill mannered and I advise anyone planning on going there to avoid their services at all costs. There are plenty of other wonderful cafes in Lincoln. read more
