I didn't realize I'd been overcharged until viewing my receipt after. I went back in and asked a clerk in the aisle to scan it again and it was $39.99. When I mentioned the cost on the shelf, she said the price had gone up. So I did a little research and this is the law in Massachusetts. The price on the shelf prevails.
