A few Christmases ago, my cat tipped over the Christmas tree (first time ever after 10 years having this cat) and I have hard wood floors, so you know what happened. The egg was broken in many places. I was devastated. But I picked up the egg and its broken pieces and put in a plastic bag, determined to figure out how to fix. I spent a few months looking all over the internet and reached out to friends for help with no success. I took a break for a few months and then decided to ask ChatGPT for assistance. The first answer it gave me was Restoration Services. I went to the website and the rest is history as they say. The owner, Micheal, helped me directly. I sent him pictures of the egg and he provided some options to restore it. This was no easy task, I didn't have all the broken pieces so he had to create those missing pieces. It took him close to a year to restore but I got it a few days ago and it's PERFECT! I'm so thankful that he was able to restore my precious keepsake with such precision. I will say this ornament will never be going on the Christmas tree as I will find a way to display in a case on my fireplace mantle. I highly recommend Restoration Services. Thank you, thank you, thank you

I sent an enquiry for cloissone repair for a vase I owned. I was quoted $100-…read more$200, so I shipped them my vase. That cost me $65. When they received it, they said the repair would be $750, more than the value of the vase. They said if I wanted it back, it would cost me $200. I said I did not want to pay more than double of what it cost me to ship it to them. They said they would dispose of it for me. I told them I was unhappy with this program, no response. I sent a follow up email, no response. Very unhappy with this business.

Oliver Brothers restored my painting and I can now no longer notice any dots on it, which is remarkable as it's a very complicated painting. The restoration took many months but was worth it. I felt my side of the disagreement had been heard and respected. They were able to accommodate my concerns and we came to a very amicable agreement. I was impressed with their patience and commitment to making this transaction and investment work out in all parties favor. This company has been in business for many years and based on this successful interaction I'm sure they'll enjoy continued success.

I needed at-home repair of several antique pieces. One was a mahogany buffet which needed veneer…read morerepair as well as loose posts on the piece. Both problems were resolved by the Trefler technician Sam, who made the repairs and skillfully colored the area. Another was an 18th century French armoire. One of the original shelves had warped and had to be resized to fit back into the piece. I also needed the door latch relocated so that I could open the doors without using a ladder. These repairs were effected by the technician Bernard. The remaining time was used to repair an antique table with a loose shim, a loose piece on the front of another anntique armoire and a Charles X antique clock which had cracked on the front of the piece. There was a three-hour minimum payment for the technicians' time and transport. While expensive, I felt the time was well used and the expertise of the technicians totally justified the fee for their presence. The bottom line is that all my furniture problems were resolved by their intervention. You get what you pay for.
