Wow, I can't believe no one has reviewed this place yet!…read more Children's Choice is awesome. My son is in the upper 3-year-old class there and it's by far the best daycare/preschool I've been to in the area. And trust me, I went to a LOT as I researched schools. This facility is right on the Banner Baywood campus, and it was originally available only to Banner employees. It has recently opened to everyone, which I assume is because there weren't enough Banner-only kids in this economic climate. I don't work for Banner, so I'm glad we were able to get in. Here are the things I like about this place: Ratio: Their ratios are lower than the state-mandated ones that most child care centers around here adhere to. In my son's room, for example, the ratio is 10:1 instead of the state-mandated 13:1. Food: They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to the kids, which is great because I HATE making lunches for my son. He's only there for lunch, but the food has been really good. They serve the ever-present chicken nuggets, of course, but they also have things like spaghetti, BBQ sandwiches, scalloped potatoes, green beans, fruit, milk. They'll do fun things during snack time like serve popsicles on hot days, and I don't mind at all. Cleanliness. I don't know, maybe it's because this place is affiliated with a hospital, but it is really clean. Like, cleaner than any place I've seen. They provide kids with bedsheets for naptime, and they wash the sheets every night. Crazy. Activities. Children's Choice almost has a Montessori-like feel in the number and variety of activities they give kids to do independently. There's very much a choose-your-own-adventure feel to the classroom, where the teacher sets up various stations and the kids pick what they want to do. My son was looking at fake bugs through a microscope one day. He fingerpaints. He plays educational games on the computer. He plays in the kitchen. He buries seashells in sand. They sit down for structured time, too, like story time, but I like the variety of free play materials. Playground. The playground is HUGE. And once a week in the summer they have "water day" where kids can go play in the sprinklers. Security. There's serious security here. Video cameras around all the entrances. Secret access codes for everyone. Computerized check-in and out. I feel pretty safe about leaving my son there. Staff: The ladies that work there actually seem happy. That's a big improvement from the last school my son was briefly at before I found this place. The director is really nice and helpful. So yeah, I like it. I'm really glad we found this place, because there aren't many reviews online about it.

I used to absolutely LOVE this program when my eldest attended 3 years ago. They had an excellent…read morepreschool program, they were super friendly and informative. I felt that my child was in the best learning environment to get a head start for Kindergarten. Unfortunately, the quality has gone down hill. Their record keeping for the billing has been a complete mess, and I have been overcharged several times. Callie does not provide assistance in a timely manner, and it has now been three months without a refund. This would have never been the case in past years. Billing issues were resolved quickly and accurately. The quality of the teaching staff has also diminished. Previously, they employed teachers with degrees in the field and strong teaching backgrounds. Nowadays, I'm lucky to receive a daily reports on my child's day. I have brought this issue to the Director's attention 4 times, and it still continues to be an issue. I am very sad to realize that I will be very glad when my youngest starts Kindergarten, and we are done using this childcare center. They still have many good qualities and are perhaps still better than some of the other large centers, but they are not nearly as good a program as they used to be.

An intruder attempted to enter the building and minimal information was provided to the parents. This comes after they had plumbing stole from their building that forced them to close the daycare for a day. Additionally, a grandparent that was picking up a child threatened to bring harm to me and my vehicle the next time he saw me after an alleged ding. Police were contacted and I report was filed however charges cannot be pressed because their camera footage has not been working for months. Parents are not notified of this issue and we only found this out after a police report was made and police police attempted to collect footage of the incident. Needless to say this man is still being allowed on campus even though he is a harm to parents and potentially their children. To my knowledge parents have still not been notified that their cameras do not work outside the facility that monitor the perimeter or are supposed to monitor the perimeter. The daycare does not take these issues seriously enough and issues are often skirted under the rug when they are addressed with the Director or any sort of management.

The facilities are so nice and the curriculum is excellent. I loved seeing the pictures and reading about all of his activities throughout the day on their app. It's truly amazing to see your child enjoy going to day care each day. My son attended from age 18 months to 2 years. The only reason we are leaving Bright Horizons is because my husband took a job out of state and we are moving. I can easily say the hardest thing about leaving AZ will be saying goodbye to Bright Horizons. They have set the bar so high for childcare I truly worry about finding another daycare that is on their same level in our new state.

Safari review This…read morereview is split into 2 parts and may be a bit confusing but I feel only right to say both sides of my experience for future parents. My daughter has been coming here for 2.5 years and for the most part has had a great time. She's made some friends and the teachers have almost all been great. Her current teacher Ms Andrea is so great, easy to talk to and is great with the class. My daughter likes going to school and has fun which is the main thing. So thank you to her teachers. However when we put my 2yr old in it did not go as planned. I spoke to about 5 different teachers the weeks leading up to him starting about him needing help on the toilet as he was still new to going to the bathroom as he literally just turned 2 the month before. they all told me "yeah sure, we can help him" "no problem" "that's awesome that he's in underwear, makes my life easier". Needless to say, each day he peed on his pants while sitting on the toilet (never an accident, always when sat on the toilet) Over the 5 days I spoke to 7 different teachers at pickup (which is a problem in itself) about him needing help pushing it down to pee, all said "ohhh I didn't know, I'll help next time" day 5 came and we'd had enough, my son was crying his eyes out at pick up, in a pull up (clothes were in his backpack). I asked the teacher in there if she helped him and she said " I just watched him". We were told from the director that she'd message everyone about helping him, and they will do hand over hand so no one was physically touching him (which I get, that's what I did in my old day care for 5 years In the potty training room),then on the drive home, 5 minutes later, they phoned to say no one would be helping him as the bathroom had no cameras, the room would be out of ratio and they just couldn't help. If I'd have been told that before starting him I would have waited until he was more confident going alone. It's such a shame that it happened as my daughter had a great time and her teachers I've encounter there were good. Ms Sarah, Ms Jessica, Mr Chris, Mr Aaron and again Ms Andrea, were all great, they get 5 Stars. Since I found this school by looking at reviews, my advice would be if you have a kid who can go to the bathroom alone, then go, but I would not go if you have a child needing help in the bathroom/not potty trained yet.

My almost 2-year-old daughter…read moreis thriving, and it's all thanks to the loving and highly skilled teachers, especially Ms. Rachel, who my daughter adores like a second mom. The teachers here are incredibly well-trained in nurturing and guiding kids aged 1-4, and I can see the results every day. One of the biggest milestones for us has been potty training. My daughter is getting the support she needs at school, and it's clicking! She comes home so happy and fulfilled, singing, dancing, and playing. I was initially so worried about putting her in daycare, as she was a Velcro baby and would always scream when she wasn't with me. But the environment is so warm and welcoming that she quickly became comfortable and now loves going to school. What makes this place truly special is the variety of enriching activities. My daughter helps take care of the chickens, tends the organic garden, and enjoys reading, drawing, dancing, and playing with her friends. The magic these teachers create in their classrooms is truly amazing--they know just how to care for my baby girl, and I feel so lucky to have found them. I also love how transparent and communicative the school is. I receive daily text message updates, so I always know what's going on with my daughter, which gives me so much peace of mind. The school worked with us on our budget and schedule, and I really appreciate how upfront they are with pricing and schedules on their website--no hidden surprises. Ms. Jennifer, the owner, made us feel like family from day one, and I'm so grateful for the warm, nurturing environment she's created. I honestly feel like we hit the jackpot with this preschool. It's the best possible place for our daughter, and I would recommend it to any parent looking for a magical, loving environment where their child can grow and thrive!

I first heard about The Little Garden Schoolhouse in May 2016 when they had their seasonal…read morecommunity seed exchange event. At the time my spirited preschool daughter was attending a local STEM school, and while it was a good school - I didn't feel that she was supported and she wasn't thriving to her full potential... Enter Jennifer Valverde When I met Jennifer (Owner & visionary of LGS) it was immediately discernable the amount of care, passion, ENTHUSIASM and knowledge she was bringing to the table in the locally wide world of preschools. I made the decision to enroll both my 2 year old and my then 5 year old daughters into LGS - I can happily say I never looked back. Enrolling at LGS was a real game changer for our family, both of my girls felt supported, a home away from home. They grew and fostered relationships with the other students, Ms. Jennifer and staff. They developed an appreciation for recycling & composting, their love for yoga deepened as it is a different experience for them to partake in yoga with their peers rather than at home with their Mom. At this age a child's real work is learning to be in this big world and learning that there are others as well to work & play well with, a lesson I think some adults tend to forget. I love the snack system at LGS -and I am always peeking in to garner new ideas myself. The children -even the toddlers join at the community table and help each other with their chairs and passing utensils and plates around. As far as "meat" not offered as an option during snack -I myself have never witnessed meat offered as a snack to students at other preschools -and I would be concerned if it were "how is the meat handled" and such. As far as vitamin nutrition is concerned -this begins at home -as a parent it our own responsibility to ensure our children receiving the most out of their diets and supplements that we provide. All else is gravy. Amongst the veritably gorgeous food forest I see a plethora of butterflies and wild parakeets swooping around amongst the pine and sunflowers.

We experienced multiple serious safety incidents involving our toddler at Primrose School of East Mesa. Despite months of trying to work with leadership, the issues were never resolved, communication was inconsistent, most incidents were communicated to us parents-to-parent and when we asked leadership about what happened their response was "who told you" over prioritizing resolution. We were ultimately forced to unenroll for our child's safety. We were also given conflicting explanations and very limited follow-up from administration. I'm sharing this so other parents can be aware and ask the important questions before enrolling. Our kids deserve transparency, accountability, and safe care every single day and in our experience, that's not a Primrose priority.
