She is gifted academically, but she also has needs that simply do not fit neatly into a traditional classroom model. Before coming to Spondeo, we were at a gifted school in the Chandler district and were repeatedly told that what she needed most was a gifted environment so she wouldn't be bored. On paper, that made sense. In reality, it was an awful fit for her. What we have learned is that being gifted was never the whole picture. Yes, she needs to be challenged academically, and she absolutely thrives when given the opportunity to move at her own pace. But she also needs an environment that understands her nervous system, gives her room to regulate, and does not demand conformity simply for the sake of making a child fit into a traditional mold. That is where Spondeo has been such a blessing. They see the whole child. They recognize that a student can be incredibly advanced academically while still needing patience, flexibility, movement, choice, sensory support, and a different approach when something feels overwhelming. Instead of treating those needs like obstacles, Spondeo works with them. They meet her where she is and still continue to help her grow. Academically, she is able to flourish. She can work at the level she is capable of without being artificially held back by age or grade expectations. But what means even more to us is that Spondeo understands that education is not just about how quickly a child can read, write, or do math. A child has to feel safe enough to learn. They have to trust the adults around them. They have to be given space to become independent without constantly being forced into compliance. We have seen such a difference in our daughter since coming here. She walks into school independently. She is participating, completing work, building relationships, and finding success again. For some families, those things may sound ordinary. For us, after the school experiences we came from, they are enormous. The communication from her teachers has also been thoughtful, honest, and compassionate. When something is difficult, the conversation is not simply about what she did wrong. They look at what happened, what she needed in that moment, what strategies might help, and how everyone can support her moving forward. That approach has brought our family a level of peace that we did not have before. For a long time, we thought the answer was simply finding a better gifted school. It turns out what our daughter really needed was Montessori. She needed an environment like Spondeo, where her giftedness could be nurtured without sacrificing her emotional well-being, where her differences were understood instead of punished, and where she could be challenged without being forced to conform. Spondeo has been an absolute blessing to our family. Five stars honestly does not feel like enough. But what really keeps us coming back is the relationships. Our son started with Hannah, and they clicked instantly. Years later, our daughter had that same connection with her right away. Both kids have also been absolutely obsessed with Betsy and Fanny and they light up when they talk about them. We've also gotten to know some of the newer assistants like Kate and Ashlyn, and they've built such genuine bonds with both our kids. What impressed us most, though, is how the front office, Kim and Mon especially, make you feel genuinely cared for. We know turnover happens in daycares, and this team handles it really well. Because they're part of a larger network across multiple locations, teachers can transition between centers seamlessly. The kids often already know them or the teachers are deeply trained on the curriculum and processes, so they can jump right in and focus on what matters: the kids. That eases a lot of the uncertainty parents usually feel during transitions. The whole team makes you feel at home. That matters so much when you're trusting someone with your kids.

The quality of the teachers here feels more like a family. Everyone in the school helps each other. Miss Jazzy, Miss Caitlin, really every single teacher I have ever met has made me feel like home. They all know your child and love your child. Miss Wulan and Miss Ann Marie were her home room teachers and wow. These woman.. they don't make them like this anymore! Positive, loving, personal, engaged are only a few ways to describe them. They have been absolutely instrumental to Logan's growth and experience. She has thrived and become a social butterfly. These teachers never look tired and are always up beat. Ms Chrystal at the front desk always welcomes you with warmth and familiarity and never judged how many incident reports my daughter had. I was always met with comfort and understanding whenever I was worried about something my Daughter had done! And the school is owned and managed by Penny who is a GEM of a human being. From the very first visit, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. You can tell the team really loves what they do. Our main teacher is always so happy around the children, you can feel her joy, and it really stood out compared to other places we toured. All the teachers are kind and smiling, and they take the time to connect with both the children and the parents. It's such a warm, supportive environment. Literally everyone is so nice! Another huge factor for us was safety and peace of mind. As a parent, being able to drop off your child without worrying is everything, and this preschool makes that possible. The classroom ratios are low, the environment is always clean, the sign-in process is secure, and they're thoughtful about food and nutrition. We've also had no issues with recurring colds or back-to-back illnesses, which has been such a relief. All of that makes a big difference. They've also been incredibly flexible, willing to work with us to make sure our child feels comfortable, whether that means bringing a favorite stuffy from home or making food & drink accommodations. They even have an easy, healthy lunch ordering system, which has been such a plus for our busy mornings. It's the family owned business and that make the learning for kids so much different then other places. Your kids will love, play and learn from the friendly and caring staff around them. My kids still talking about what he did at Wilkins and how much the miss their teacher and those fun projects that they did until today, and that means a whole world for them! I think you are definitely on the right track with getting him tested for speech and seeing what other ways the school district can assist you in your academic journey. I would often drop in unexpectedly, and everything was always in order. However, I was not particularly fond of the area manager, Angel. Her unprofessional behavior and personal drama, involving her creepy, cheating husband, were evident to the parents. I also witnessed her speaking down to the front desk staff on several occasions, which was very uncomfortable to see. It hard to be a working mom and I struggled when I first started using daycare because I felt guilty about starting a career. I know that she is having a great time and being able to learn social skills with other children and it makes me feel at ease knowing that she is loved on by all these amazing ladies.
