It's rare to find a place that combines such a high level of care with a genuine sense of community. I'm so proud to be a part of this team!

That was not our experience. Beneath the polished tours and Christian branding, leadership at this campus proved ineffective, dismissive, and unwilling to meaningfully address serious concerns raised by families. Many parents are drawn to a Christian school hoping to shield children from age-inappropriate influences; ironically, in our personal experience, our children were exposed to more inappropriate language and behavior here than they had been in a Chandler public school, with limited administrative response. Administration frequently emphasized high demand to attend, yet from our firsthand experience and conversations with other parents, just as many families appeared to be leaving. Academic quality and classroom professionalism raised serious questions about how teachers are hired, their qualifications, and why turnover seemed high. Tuition and a Christian label do not automatically guarantee a better education, stronger values, or responsible leadership. This review is shared in good faith to encourage families to look beyond appearances and ask direct questions about leadership accountability, discipline policies, teacher hiring practices, and retention before enrolling.

We have been attending SMB for over 10 years, and we couldn't be happier. Weekly curriculum includes art, Spanish, PE, science and music. Extra-curricular activities are available for EVERY interest! Band, theater, choir, orchestra, chess, robotics, ballet, sports, STEM, to name a few. Junior high students can choose from many electives, such as forensic science, anatomy and physiology, personal finance, sewing, improvisation, screen writing, and many, many others! The teachers are exceptional and truly care about the success of EACH and every student. My older children are academically doing well, and were challenged by SMB's curriculum. They are now succeeding in a Catholic high school. My younger children struggled to return to grade level after Covid-19 quarantine (SMB returned to in-person option in Aug of 2020, thank goodness!) The teachers and support staff dedicated much time to getting my children back up to par. I was touched! The school has math and reading specialists and a counselor present on campus. The students practice the sacraments regularly; they attend mass at least weekly, as well as regular confession and adoration. Priests can be seen regularly attending morning prayer, and the sisters are employees of the school as teachers, school nurse and playground monitors. I love having religious priests and nuns present daily in the students' school day. The principal is a phenomenal leader! Lastly, the parent community is unbeatable; very supportive of each other and prays for the students, staff and each other with weekly rosaries and monthly adoration, and bible studies. It is worth your time to visit this school in person. You will be blown away!

Parent involvement is amazing and vital to this school. This school in particular scores highest in the diocese in ITBS and many students coming in are catching up to their pace and level. Extra-curricular activities include Robotics, Music/Band, Sports: Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, and Flag Football, Chess and more. After school care is available. Financial Aid is available. If you are thinking of putting your child into this school I urge you to explore ALL other options…read morefirst. They will promise you the world, encourage you to apply for ALL the scholarships humanly possible... but deliver absolutely nothing by way of educational standards. They will attempt to teach to the lowest common denominator and even fail at that, which becomes increasingly obvious as the years progress. The Principal seems to be more of a business manager than a teacher and her efforts seem to concentrate entirely on appearances (style) ...but negligible substance. As parents, we had two meetings with the School Principal 'postponed', presumably because we had some difficult questions for them regarding their lack of attention regarding our child, double standards, unnecessarily stupid and punitive treatment of children, blatant nepotism, wasteful practices etc etc. Somehow the meetings never happened. If you do however dare to question (the) authority, you will find great unity in the closed ranks and tight lips here. The fundraisers and proceeds, of which there are many throughout the school year, the majority of which end up in the church coffers and never appear to benefit the children, whose parents, school staff and friends frequently give their help FOC. Additional outside grants have been misappropriated and used for other purposes. The school educational accreditation is a joke; the day of inspection was broadcast well in advance and thoroughly prepared for...by hastily papering over the cracks. In an upside down, topsy-turvy, war is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength sort of world....I would give this school 5 stars for hypocrisy.
