I had an IEP form that was not accurate or understandable when reviewed by my new school. The Leading Edge staff made changes to the information without my parent or guardians permission and knowledge. I had been threatened by the vice principal that she would be calling the cops due to throwing an empty plastic water bottle at a student who was physically assaulting another kid. The school staff, withheld my transcripts when they learned I was going to another school. My parents contacted LEA MULTIPLE TIMES, even going into the school to get them before we received the transcripts. Leading Edge staff protect bullies due to their parents being on staff. These students cause problems constantly but are never addressed, creating a sense of disruption, anxiety, and fear among the students. I and other students have had things stolen from our bags multiple times, and when the staff was told that the police would be involved the item would mysteriously return the next day in our bag. For Spirit week, the principal and vice principal dressed up in onesies and pacifiers, riding tricycles and talking to students like babies. They also had scoops of ice cream in their hands which they had students, of several grades, lick off. The students were then encouraged to do the same to each other in front of the school. Some teachers and staff treated the students really well, but the majority of the staff bullied and neglected the students.

I was terrified to put my daughter In school as a first time mom. I actually couldn't handle the anxiety so I pulled her out after I was sobbing all day the first day she was gone. Well, penny and the staff were not only empathetic but made me feel comfortable doing things on my own time table. So when I decided to try again a week later I was welcomed with open arms. The quality of the teachers here feels more like a family. Everyone in the school helps each other. Miss Jazzy, Miss Caitlin, really every single teacher I have ever met has made me feel like home. They all know your child and love your child. Miss Wulan and Miss Ann Marie were her home room teachers and wow. These woman.. they don't make them like this anymore! Positive, loving, personal, engaged are only a few ways to describe them. They have been absolutely instrumental to Logan's growth and experience. She has thrived and become a social butterfly. These teachers never look tired and are always up beat. Ms Chrystal at the front desk always welcomes you with warmth and familiarity and never judged how many incident reports my daughter had. I was always met with comfort and understanding whenever I was worried about something my Daughter had done! And the school is owned and managed by Penny who is a GEM of a human being. These women are loving, smart, and are valued so much. They deserve the world and I'm so grateful to have found them. I'm forever in debt to this school and all it has done for myself and my daughter. Also, they know how much I love them and never once asked for a review. But if you are a nervous mom, or want an honest take, please ask penny for my number and I'd be happy to walk you through how they made this experience incredible.

Being a first time parent and transitioning your child from being with you 24/7 to daycare is tough, for child and parent alike. What I found incredibly helpful was the time Ms. Penny took to answer all of our questions and make us feel confident in our decision. The transition was very smooth, our little one runs to the door every time we say it's time for school. He often just runs straight into the classroom, already busy playing, a true reflection of his teachers' supportive and caring nature. He is confident and at ease, and what's been most surprising is how much his knowledge and learning continue to expand. From watching him dance with his classmates to fun tunes, to seeing him replicate that at home, or hearing him point to our eyes and ears and say the words, every day feels like he develops a new skill. His vocabulary and social skills are both continuously growing. Although leaving your child to go to work never gets easier, I have full peace of mind knowing he is in the right hands. We are constantly updated with pictures and videos from his day, along with fun events, dress-up days, learning milestones, and classroom activities. They also have an amazing backyard with real grass for the kids to run around in, and even a splash area during the summer. All in all, I couldn't recommend Goddard on East Germann enough and am endlessly grateful to Ms. Penny, his teacher Ms. Sydni and the amazing teachers who care for our son.

The indoor and outdoor environment is one of a kind and the teachers/management make you feel like family. They truly have mastered the art of school for our young. I had high hopes for Greenhouse Montessori. I loved the…read morevision of outdoor learning, the enrichment programs discussed online, and the thought of a supportive community. I also really liked the values they spoke of. In the beginning things started out amazing and then quickly just went downhill and looking back I realize a lot now I didn't notice at the time we were with the school. And to be fair, teachers like Ms. Andrea and Ms. Theresa (often in the front office) are truly wonderful. But overall, the experience was disappointing especially with the Director Ms. Jennifer and how different things were from what's promised. First, the outdoor learning was one of the biggest things we were excited about, but when my child clearly desired/needed more time outside than inside, it was a constant issue. I was told staffing made it difficult, which goes against everything they promote online. Other programs like "live animal enrichment" and "preschool philanthropy"were talked about but didn't actually exist at all the 2024/2025 school year. And with the lower elementary program shutting down this next year (2025/2026), it of course raised red flags about the school's stability. There's also limited childcare, no after school care, no break care, and only 16 summer spots I was told. Again very different than their online promises. Bringing it back to the hardest part though, our interaction with the Director. I heard about not great interactions had with her but it wasn't until we neared ending our time with the school I finally experienced it first hand. When I had tried to advocate for my son/family, I was met with coldness, defensiveness, and zero empathy. I mean zero. Felt like professional gaslighting at its finest. Instead of working with me, I was told my son was just "no longer a fit." She seemed to be avoiding discomfort rather than doing what was best for my son. And looking back there was a pattern of families being pushed out when they advocated too much. There's also a noticeable lack of diversity, and manyyy kids were encouraged to get IEPs only to later be told they don't belong there any more because Greenhouse couldn't work with them. Lots of kids dropped like flies from the programs. It made me question how much they really support inclusion and individualized learning (like they claim). I really wanted to believe in this school. But the gap between their online image and reality is too big to ignore. I hope in the future they make the necessary changes to be fully in alignment with their promises because they do have great potential and loving teachers.

I would hands down recommend Kids Inc.

The past director did a great job of keeping up with what changes needed to take place in order to create healthy learning and development of our little one and class rooms. Over the last year we have noticed a dip in operations and leadership. My little one started to constantly told us she did not want to go to school. We started to take more details as to why our little one felt this way and deliver communication with leads/teachers on the challenges. Given they have had lots of transition operationally wanted to partner on a solution. However, no actions were taken. Leaders were not great with communication and partnership on creating development plans with my child. The teachers were all very honest and expressed they can only due so much given high classroom counts and being short staffed consistently. Several teachers also expressed have difficulty with several kids in the high classroom numbers and not getting leadership support. Then creating a lack of positive culture and environment. That piece is important to us as parents. Very high teacher turnover the last year, we experienced a lack of consistency for the class room changes along with no communication on changes to us parents. Ie. If a teacher was no longer working at the center for our classroom we were not notified. This can be challenging for little ones without consistency and consistency rotating different teachers within the same day. We also have had issues with the office over charging payments. We did have to sit down and explain and breakdown payments to the leads in order for it to get corrected. It is unfortunate experience I believe the classroom structure from 3 years and up can uses some additional training and education. Leadership best practices can be critique to provide action planning. Example: listening to all sides including: parents and teachers feedback to create healthier environments for the children to thrive. This would be my biggest recommendation. In addition, training, support and education to the new operations leaders/teachers in order to create action plans to support healthy changes for children in our community is key to successful development.
