I ordered this here food spot in hopes that I could satisfy a craving I was too lazy to cook . I got my food it was okay . The rice could've had a bit more flavor and the chicken just wasn't up to the standard that I'm used too . It will do the trick in a pinch it just overall didn't do it for me . I've driven past here 1000 times, finally decided to give it a try and let me tell you. This is some of the best Mediterranean food I've had in WA. I had the lamb, beef and chicken combo and my gf had the chicken shawarma plate. It was so good I forgot to take a picture. Shawarma was seasoned very well and super flavorful. Lamb was perfectly cooked. And the portions were great, especially for being so reasonably priced. This is definitely gonna be my go to south of Seattle. read more

The food was good. My wife and I each ordered a euro sandwich, the only difference was that I ordered a combo that came with fries and a drink, which cost a couple bucks more. I was surprised when my sandwich had half the amount of meat. When I asked the owner, he stated it was less meat to make up for the fries and drink. Was excited to try this place as it had vegetarian options for my friend. Unfortunately, both of us were not impressed with our meals. The hummus had no flavor whatsoever and my chicken shwarma was dry and tasted like it had been sitting in a heating tray for a long time. Coming from San Francisco, this was My first time eating Mediterranean food but my friends asked me for a simple healthy dinner as they are vegetarians. Now, I never had a wrap anything but per their menu, I ordered a wrap with shawarma chicken and fries topped with their house garlic sauce. It was fresh with a pita wrapped chicken shawarma that had a nice bbq taste. The fries were outstanding, crispy, flavorable, and my mouth was soaked in a garlicky taste that I had once in my life at the defunct Gilroy garlic festival. This place is a mix between fast food and fast casual. When you walk in there's a sign that tells you to go to the counter for takeout or wait for dine-in. If you dine in things are served on actual dishware. I personally have always gone with takeout, but I do notice the hustle of the wait staff and it would appear that there's good service here. I always get good service at the counter that is usually prompt. Food is okay. Like I said, it's pretty fast casual. Falafel is most likely from frozen - dense and dry. Rice may or may not be dry based on how long its been sitting, usually it's pretty alright; nicely seasoned. Included with the dishes I get there's also hummus, which is pretty basic, and a Greek salad, also basic. The platters also come with a full pita. These are always crazy hot when I get them (like, use this thing as a heating pack for the rest hot!), but possibly the best part of the dish (and clearly bought in the store). I've ended up here several times because I really don't want to cook anything, but for the price? Eh. It's good, but there's better out there. read more

The first time I had Greek food was at Mr. D's Greek Delicacies at Pike Place Market. It became my spot. At lunch time I would catch a bus uptown from Pioneer Square to Westlake then walk to the shop. I would order a chicken gyro and eat it while I walked back to the bus stop on 3rd Ave to bring me back to work. Since I don't work downtown anymore I'm glad to have found Olive Tree off Kent-Kangley Rd. I do miss the touristy chaos at the Market but at least Olive Tree's food is good and parking is free. I like their chicken kebab and they make pretty good tzatziki sauce. They do give big portions so I asked for a box for my leftovers. It's a pretty popular place. Lots of people came in for to-go orders and people were having lunch inside too. read more

Mmmmmm! Tried this on DoorDash because I was craving a Greek salad. I ended up ordering a Greek salad, beef kabobs and feta fries. Everything was sooo good! The salad was exactly what I had been craving. I've never had feta fries and they were super good. I can only imagine how good they would be fresh at the restaurant. This is a spot here in my neighborhood which our family goes to often. We love Mediterranean and this restaurant new we disappoints. Whether it is a to-go or done-in, they make sure to always deliver at best quality. When walking in, you place an order at the counter and then sit down and wait. The portions are enough to share and fulfilling. They are generous. There are booths around and tables in the middle of restaurant. It makes it more family friendly and a local homey restaurant. Chicken was dry which is probably why they had so much Tzatziki sauce, we got carry out to have a picnic but had no napkins so I wasn't able to eat it and the flat bread was soggy when we got to the park. I might try again but ask for Tzatziki on the side so I can add what I like read more

Falafel was pleasant surprise, it was not as dry as in the oastHaven't been here in a while , food seems to have gotten better.

First time in their newer space. Staff was very friendly and the gyros were great. Fries were very hot and crispy. Seating was limited because of Covid, most of the beers in tap had run out so that was a bummer. read more

Olive Tree is amazing! I can't even begin to describe! Ummmm....yummmm, oh yes, I can! To start, they are very COVID-aware, with plexiglass at the ordering counter and all employees wearing masks. The restaurant itself is very clean and with a warm atmosphere, booths feel very private. They are so friendly. Service is good. Be aware that during the lunch hours, they don't do table service - you have to order at the counter. They will bring the food to the table for you. That said, the food is really what you want to come here for. I've eaten at a couple of different Greek/Mediterranean restaurants and Olive Tree puts them to shame. My husband has tried several dishes - dolmas, gyros, tabouleh salads, etc., and they are all amazing. My go-to favorite is the chicken kebab platter. The portion is enough for two meals and includes a little bit of everything (chicken breast kebab, rice, potatoes, salad, hummus, and pita). Prices are reasonable, if a little high. They serve great wine and beer, which is always a plus for me. I crave this place all the time, seriously. Maybe I should be glad that it's a little bit of a drive, or I'd be here every day! read more

Stopped by for dinner after a hike. My friends and I ordered a bunch of different dishes. The garlic fries were a favorite, super fresh with a better-than-average garlic sauce. The pita bread that came with the plates was also hot, fresh and fluffier than the average pita. A couple of my friends ordered shawarma plates and wraps and raved about the shawarma. Minus one star for the falafel and kebabs though. My friend who ordered the falafel said it was just ok. I tried all three kebab varieties -- the lamb and chicken were pretty good, though a tad dry. I hate writing this review as they were extremely nice and accommodating, but the food here was terrible. Not sure why they got such high reviews. The only thing that was decent, was the appetizer, and the dolma were cold and out of a can. Was expecting warm, freshly made dolmas. Food comes out, looking forward to the garlic fries, but they were EXTREMELY hard and overcooked! How do you mess up FRIES?! The seasoning was great, as well as the sauce, and that's what made them semi edible. The rest was hard and had no potatoes instead because someone left them in the fryer way too long. Such a waste of money. Then on to the gyros, my husband's was cold, but he was hungry and just ate it. My chicken as pictured, was weird dark meat pieces, I was expecting chicken breast. Aside from that, it tasted boiled, and it was absolutely tasteless! It lacked flavor and any seasoning! I couldn't even bother with it, so I politely asked for the traditional gyro meat which they kindly made for me. I really appreciated that! I had to hand the old one to him in his hand, but I didn't mind that too much. They quickly brought out the new gyro with the traditional meat, and it was absolutely delicious!!! Much better than the chicken Chicago one which was also lacking a few ingredients. But at that point, the traditional gyro was SOOOO GOOD! UNTIL, I pulled a huge piece of plastic out of my mouth!!! As pictured! I was mortified! They AGAIN, were extremely kind, apologetic, and refunded me for that combo. I appreciate the customer service and he even admitted it was the plastic they use to wrap the meat. Unfortunately, I could have choked and that is scary and completely unacceptable! I was hoping for a full refund as our experience was not very pleasant, and I could have choked to DEATH. Not good. Definitely a great Mediterranean place in the Kent area. The lamb kebab platter was great and really filled me up. Lamb is not under or over cooked but just right and perfect size to eat in 1 or 2 bites. The rice and pita bread were also really good and paired well with the hummus. The fried zucchini sticks were not what I was used to with so much breading but they were still very good and great with the tzatziki sauce. Nicely situated next to Trader Joe's with lots of parking off the busy Kent kangley road. Ordered Falafel platter for lunch. Ate here recently with my boyfriend. It was recommended to us. It was delicious and the service is excellent. We ordered a chicken shawarma gyro and a lamb shank platter. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. The gyro was also very flavorful and delicious. The gyro came with fries, while the lamb came with rice, Hummus and a little salad. We also got the baba ghanouj, it too was very good. It wasn't to busy when we got there, but it picked up as we were waiting for our food. The service didn't waiver regardless of how busy it was.
