I knew I had to visit the brewery before moving back to Los Angeles later in the summer and it was a highlight of my Maine trip. What an incredible job they have done with this brewery set up. My local friend consistently orders their poutine as a meal and he doesn't even finish it all. It's a huge plate of fries smothered with decadent combo of meat, cheese, and gravy. I ordered the trufflalo Brussel Sprouts, the special mussels, and maple chili rub wings. The sprouts were crispy, tangy and spicy. The broth with the mussels was so dip worthy, we wished to have had a whole load of bread. The wings were SO GOOD!!! The sweetness of the maple syrup and the kick from the chili danced like Raygun in my mouth. The rest of the gang ate sandwiches and fish and chips. My daughter loved the fish and the string onions rings. We were fortunate to have had amazing weather. So we had dinner outside by the docks on the pond. The Maine air was crisp and fresh and the colors of dusk kept changing in its brilliance in the cloudy horizon.

The flavors are beautiful, surprising and rare (at least in these parts) and very much welcomed. My first visit was to try the food, now it's the service that brings me back. It's a family and they welcome you with open arms. The ever changing specials menu keeps you on your toes and wanting more. It's adventures, exotic and sexy....yes, you heard me, the food is SEXY. This week, I was seconds away from proposing to a miso glazed black cod, before I realized that my or may not be frowned upon. It was silky, sweet and cooked beyond perfection. I paired it with Viberti Piemonte Filebasse, EXQUISITE. I can't say I've ever had a bad meal here, but I have had some better than others and this one stands alone.

We had family visiting so we made it a point to take them to a new brewery for all of us! Cute establishment! With seating available indoors and outdoors. Drinks were good! They did have a food menu of shared plates that I saw so something we'll have to try out next time we come visit. We will definitely be back!

If the Maine Street is full there is a large free parking lot in the back. Their beer offerings change but they still keep some of their staples in rotation. They offer a large selection of non-alcoholic options as well. Lots of thought is put into their flavors, beer types, the season. You never know what yummy flavor you may see. If you aren't sure what to get try their refreshing Kölsch or famous ThaI.P.A. with lemongrass flavor. Indoor and outdoor is dog friendly. Upstairs has event space for rent. Check their instagram or Facebook for special events, food trucks, new beer and hard selzter releases.

There is ample parking and lots (and lots) of outdoor seating (some of it covered for Sun protection and for cooling off.) There was a misting fan running, too. Service was very hospitable, and no long lines for food or beverages. The cost of eating and drinking here (on a special event day no less) was very welcoming: Our tab surprised me, and I more than made it up on the gratuity (which I hope you do, too.) These people are working hard, and some of them are in front of a blazing pizza oven. My only regret: I forgot to purchase beer to take home. I will remedy this shortly.
