Robert and Lana are awesome!…read more In the last three months, Top Notch has done the following for us- - replaced and painted an exterior door - textured and painted two bathrooms - re-shingled our roof - replaced gutters - washed and stained a patio - replaced a light fixture - put in a set of interior french doors and two regular interior doors - painted a vanity and made a new top for it - painted several rooms ..... and I am sure there are at least 5 things that I am forgetting! Top Notch can do almost anything you need done for your house and they'll do it for a reasonable price and at the time they said they would do it! It's even nicer that both Lana and Robert are great at responding to emails and texts as s that can make it WAY easier to communicate while you're stuck at work. I would highly recommend having them come out and give you an estimate on your next project. I mean.. now that they've finished all that stuff for us I guess it's ok to let you all know how great they are :)

I talked to Robert for about ten minutes. He didn't want to do quotes on evenings or weekends, but my husband and I both work. He eventually said "my wife will kill me, but I'll do it on an evening." He then said we both have to be there in case my husband and I argue and disagree on the work he does, and he couldn't put himself in a position between married people. That sounded a little weird to me, but he sounded nice otherwise, so I figured I'd give him a shot at the work. The next day, I got a voicemail from his wife canceling our appointment saying that we "weren't a good fit for them." I just wish they'd been honest from the beginning and not wasted my ten minutes writing down every detail of the work I wanted and all my contact information and where I'd heard of them if they were just going to cancel immediately afterward. The whole encounter was weird.

He always picked up calls and communicated quickly, and when the first paint job wasn't as close of a match as I had preferred, he was quick to help redo it within the next few hours with lots of understanding, and double-checked for my approval on the paint match. We hired them to get our entire home painted. We had a strict timeline to get things done as we were traveling. I know he told me he would try, and was showing up daily at 8am. Randomly Saturday night at around 9:26pm, he messages me that his guys don't want to work Sunday. Do you tell that to a customer via text at 9:30pm? I found that very unprofessional. A very unusually uncomfortable exchange of text messages went back and forth about reasons why they were not going to show up Sunday as previously planned. We felt stuck because we needed to get this done before we fly out so my husband told me to just stay calm change our plans but have them finish. We were not a small job customer. We paid almost $12k for the job. Anyways, changed up our plans to let them finish. He had done our railings and door for stairs. This was done last minute since we had to fly out. He said it will dry out. We were going to come back after a month, so we thought fine, let's leave it. We came back after over a month, the paint was sticky. It got on my kids hands and our clothes. I don't know what he used, but they all started to come off when we wiped. This was on May 25th. Texted him abd he responded that he will come back and do it. He said he would come back in 2-3 weeks by June 15th. Waited patiently. Followed up July 8th and again this passed Sunday on July 25th. No response. This is what led to me writing the review. I really don't care for them to come back to finish my railings anymore. I had earlier decided not to waste my time writing a review about the owners previous unprofessionalism, but now that he is completely being shady and ignoring my messages, I think people need to know that this is not the experience you deserve as customers. Work with someone else, but not these guys if you want a peace of mind.

The list included the removal of the box o'florescents, the addition of can lights, repair of a hanging light fixture, and the installation of below cabinet lighting. We got a first bid from a very popular Yelp electrician and then one for RX. Rx came in at $1400 cheaper... I was pretty shocked at the price differential, so I asked them to make sure everything was included and they promised no shocks at the end. We were torn, since there was no review for them and the other electrician had many. But, hey $1400 bucks is $1400 flipping bucks or 5 meals at Barley Swine... LOL They arrived right on time and went right to work. Tim was very helpful, knowledgeable and quite a cheerful fellow. He arrived with John, John, Paul and Alan showed up in the last day, today. All of these guys were polite, respectful of our possessions, gave us clear direction on what they were doing. The job took three days and everyday, they were prompt and always in a good mood. The main electrician dude, John, made a suggestion to put in a puck light in an alcove we have and we thought that was a great idea. We changed our mind and asked them to move a can light in the living room, which they did on the fly for us. At the end of each day, they cleaned up their mess and merrily went on their way. We decided to have another wall painted and the back door fixed since it needed some repair, they provided us a quote and we went with it right on the spot. They finished today and we are thoroughly impressed with all the work they accomplished, their attitude and professionalism. We are getting a bid for the installation of wooden floor in living and dining room. I fully expect to see them back here in a week or so to accomplish that. We did have a shock at the end, since they refunded us $102.66 on the bill for parts which they didn't need when they did all the re-wiring, switches and stuff. Pretty dang cool.....
