Mast o moosir(yogurt and shallots appetizer)
Selin H.

Nice place, but not good food. We ordered BBQ and some appetizers. The BBQ was served with soup of the day, which was lentil soup. It was a little bit spicy but delicious. The BBQ was tasteless, and unfortunately, a small piece of hair was in my plate. The price of the food did not match the tasteless food. They need to improve the food.

Came for lunch with my dad and was immediately seated. Very clean inside the restaurant and we were served immediately. There was a great selection available. Food was very fresh and we will definitely order from here again.

I've been going here for nearly ten years and it's one of the most consistent restaurants I've been to. Easy five star spot. I've had so many items off the menu and the Tadig is one of my favorites. It's a crunchy rice dish that is topped off by a strew and surrounded by fluffy rice. The crunchy rice is about a half inch thick. It is super crunchy, chewy, and soon to one of your favorite meals. It is topped off by a hot stew that gives you a variety of textures and flavors that leave a party in your mouth you'll want to attend regularly. Not pictured is another one of my favorites and that's the Persian baba ganoush. I love this because the eggplant is warm and soft and it's topped off with crunchy fried onions and a yogurt sauce--not your traditional baba ganoush. I highly recommend trying the Tadig and Persian baba ganoush. Then there are their shish kebab plates which are all killer and no filler. Pictured is the chicken thigh, which is juicy and packed with flavor, but I would recommend trying the salmon because it is so soft with a crunchy skin and I am always shocked that everything always tastes the same as it has for nearly ten years. The ambiance is friendly and the place is clean. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive, and I always satisfied with everything I've experienced while there. They have a free parking lot in the back, btw. The prices are pretty fair, the bathrooms are clean, and there's a guy there on the weekends that plays the keyboard and sings--it's not loud, so it doesn't disrupt the ambiance. I believe this spot is worth your time and hard earned $.

This has become my new favorite place! Service is great, and the food is always amazing!! Comfort food at its best. When I'm craving a delicious meal that I KNOW will be amazing this is my go-to. Large portions so you'll always leave with leftovers, my favorite :)

Always come to this restaurant and every time the food, service and staff are amazing. The servers are always friendly and welcoming. I've tried mostly everything on the menu and everything tastes great! My favorite dish is the lamb shank. The restaurant is always clean and there's live music on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.... Would definitely recommend this place... 10/10

It was disgusting! I will never go there again And they're rude . Sad because it used to be a very nice restaurant not anymore.

Super disappointed that they are charging $30+ for the lamb shank when it's now apparently a third of the size it used to be. Unfortunate, since this has always been one of my favorite local restaurants.

From the moment you walk in, the ambiance feels upscale and inviting--dim lighting, clean decor, and smooth jazz playing softly in the background set the perfect mood. I especially loved the window seating--it added a cozy yet refined touch to the overall experience. I ordered the chicken and beef kabob rice plate, and it was absolutely delicious--perfectly seasoned, juicy, and full of flavor. The barley soup was a comforting starter; I added a touch of salt to suit my taste, and it warmed me right up. The fresh, warm pita bread was the perfect accompaniment--soft, pillowy, and satisfying. The service was excellent--attentive, kind, and thoughtful. From start to finish, it was a wonderful dining experience that I'll definitely return for.

I think the inside of the restaurant could be more cozy but I normally get food to go. It's been very good lately. Lots of food, so tasty! The ladies are always nice.

Looking for middle eastern fare in the Glendale area of La Crescenta? This spot on Foothill Blvd is a great little place to fill your tummy. Portions are monstrous and at a great price. Certainly enough food to have two meals. Typically a quiet place and could be considered romantic if you can get a table by the front window. Service is good and attentive. Many to go orders come through here, so it may be a good place to order food on your way home from work. The food was tasty and well prepared, and enjoyable dining experience.

Food is so delicious don't eat your finger. And also it's so quiet place. I take all my friends and they're like it.

Chicken thighs and don't forget the hummus was so much food and the price was great

Do they also have a restaurant in Upland? I love this place but hope there's one closer to my place.

No they don't.

Food is good but music sucks?

I was always charmed by the musician they had playing, but ... that' may be just me.

George was our server and he was excellent. We were very fortunate to have George as a waiter because we love good food and like to pair it with good wine and George really knew his stuff. George started us on an appetizer he recommended called Grilled Spanish octopus. It was the best octopus I ever tasted full of delicious flavors. He paired that with a white Greek wine called Gavalas Assyrtiko Santorini. This wine opened with a beautiful bouquet of stone fruit that paired perfectly with spices of the octopus and was also delicious on its own. For the entree , George recommended the Moussaka eggplant and the pastitsio that is layered with pasta, sirloin , and bechamel sauce. Both were delicious. George recommended Naoussa Xinomavro red wine. It was delicious. TBH this place was one of the choices cause it was closest to us while we ran our demands. After parking in the garage, we gathered our dog and popped in fur lunch. Our server Derrick is memorable, exceptional, patient, knowledgeable, quick, intelligent, and friendly. The place is so amazingly designed. My husband was having a difficult day and Derrick truly had the best people skills navigating us through the menu and the tough day. Truly, after the whole 2020 pandemic thing - dining out has just about lost its shine and charm, but the restaurant's layout and the human experience Derrick brought to us was reminiscent of a time before. My husband felt at ease and even ordered a glass of wine which he took the recommendation with immediacy. He is usually resistant to suggestions too. Highly resistant. So that was even more pivotal to the experience. Our dog was even in the happiest of moods. All around this was therapeutic AND I haven't even go to the food yet. Wow. The FOOD. THE EFFING FOOOOOD!!!! Whatever the cook needs give it. The texture and creaminess plus tanginess of the tzatziki- it was delicious and perfect. The lemon potatoes - they reminded me so much of my grandma's growing up. The lunch special was excellent and truly it's a staple in Los Angeles dining because where else? For sure this is one of my favorites from here on out. My dog, my husband, and myself all satisfied. The day changed entirely after coming here- truly. This is a diamond of a place. Thank you.

But it is without question the most important Armenian restaurant in the world. Armenians are simultaneously a diaspora people, a people of the book, and an old country people. Therefore, odd as it may seem, it is entirely appropriate that the most important Armenian restaurant in the world should not be located in Armenia at all, but should serve a diaspora community in a way that makes them feel connected to home, both interns of cuisine and in terms of communal warmth. Technically, this is more of a Lebanese restaurant than an Armenian restaurant, but that hardly matters. It's a place of celebration, merriment, laughter, and tears. In short, it is THE gathering place for Armenians in Southern California. Because of its fame and importance, the thing that is consistently overlooked about this restaurant is just how excellent the food is. Bring a Lebanese expat here and you will invariably hear them say after the first bite of hummus that it doesn't compare to the hummus they used to enjoy in Beirut. By the middle of the bowl, they will say that it actually is not as bad as they first thought. By the end of the bowl they will declare that this hummus ranks among the greatest they have ever tasted. Carousel does not overwhelm you. It seduces you. And you'll be back.
