No where near as good as the Briarwood location. Chicken Shwarma was awful. Broccoli soup was not warm and didn't have a lot of flavor at all. My mom's original Olga had very little Olga sauce on it and it was room temperature. There were less than 10 people dining so no excuse. Hostess said they would do something for my mom's 70th birthday but when I asked my server, she said only if we had an email membership? Oh, and to top it off,she put two of the horrible shwarma sandwich on my bill by mistake. Complete disappointment and waste of money and time. read more

Every time I pick up an order from here I wait 15+ minutes after my estimated pickup time. I once sat for nearly 30 minutes waiting for a curbside order. Probably the worst location I've ever been to, I thought being in Ann Arbor it would be decent, boy was I wrong. They were not busy. There was dirty tables and the floors were just as dirty. The waiter brought my wife cold soup( she wasn't the only one I heard another lady complain from half way across the dining room) couldn't find the waiter so we flagged down a different girl. She asked who our waiter was we described him. She must not of found him either cause she brought the soup back, still not hot, but warm.... This was the nicest looking Olga's been to. Greeted at the door and the waitresses have been amazing! This service has been very fast so far and I've been very happy. I know what I want when I walk in and I'm able to get in and out within 30 minutes. The ingredients were fresh and although our orders weren't prepared correctly, the manager, Patrick, checked in with us (I'm not sure if it was our facial expressions or him just being a manager) and addressed EVERYTHING and more. I haven't been to Olga's in a lot longer than I care to remember and everything about this location was better than I remembered across the board. Excellent service, great food - LOVE the snackers - hot food, and it was ready faster than estimated. The manager couldn't have been nicer when I spoke with him, and if you want (reasonably) fast & nice casual in Ann Arbor this is the place I'd suggest. Decided to go to Olga's today for lunch. When we arrived we were seated right away, but it took over 10 minutes for the server to acknowledge us. When she did she asked what we wanted and left. It took another 5 minutes to get our drinks. The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend it. The server didn't not acknowledge us again until I had to flag her down for a drink refill. I'd have a better time flagging a taxi in rush hour. She didn't check on us at all and was more than ready to dump the bill and leave. Overall, the food is good but the service is not great. We Were there today for a late lunch. The food was delicious. Our server was fantastic. Olgas is a favorite of mine but unfortunately we don't have one where I live. It was wonderful to dine there again. My fiance and I highly recommend this location. The original and the ham and cheese Olga were both great. We enjoyed the brownie with ice cream dessert. Better customer service at the dirty Briarwood location. The experience today at this location on washtenaw was poor. Dined in at 530p, less than 5 tables occupied. Not busy at all. Sat down with our menus for at least 5-10 mins before the waitress asked for our drink order. By then we knew what we wanted off the menu. I ordered a veggie sandwich with curly fries. My mom ordered spinach pie and a side of zucchini fries. Being vegetarian, you have few options to pick from on the menu. 15 mins go by. My mom gets her spinach pie. Another 5 go by, another table gets their whole order of sandwiches before we get ours. My mother flags the waitress asking when our very simple order will be ready. Waitress glances at the kitchen and says "it's coming out right now". Well, at this location you can see the kitchen right behind us. It's an open layout and you can hear our waitress asking where our order is multiple times. Clearly she lied. It wasn't ready. Another 5-10 mins go by. Only thing on the table is half of my mom's order for her meal (just the spinach pie). My mom stands up at this point and looks behind her at the kitchen to our waitress asking a cook to bring out our food because we questioned why it was taking so long(we were kind when we asked that, not rude at all as we both work in a customer service position daily). The waitress is begging the cook to bring out our food, so she doesn't have to. What kind of waitress can't just say sorry it took so long, here's your food? We would've been fine with that, but lying that she saw it coming out, then not wanting to face a customer when the food is ready? What kind of service is that? Waitress finally comes over after our food is served by someone else and says how is it? My mom responded with, "well it would've been better if our meals were served together and mine was all at once" the waitress then goes on to explain how my mom was wrong to order an appetizer as a meal if she wanted the two items to come out together and being defensive...don't question the customer's meal choice. No reason. All in all, the service at this location is poor. 30 min wait for two simple orders. Do not recommend this place! read more

This place takes forever. First, no one came to the host stand for two minutes even though the restaurant was practically empty. Then, the waiter took over ten minutes to come back after giving us waters when we still needed to order. The food also took a very long time to come out. To top it off, the bills were all charged the wrong amounts after we got them back. I am still in this Olga's waiting for them to correct our bills. I have been here for almost two hours!!! Olga's is supposed to be a relatively quick experience! They didn't do anything to apologize for our wasted time. I would never come back here. First impression was disappointment. The restaurant was not busy, but for a couple of patrons dining inside. When I arrived, the greeter/server was in the front entrance chatting with a departing customer. After a couple of minutes, I was wondering if he was ever going to sit me. I was a few seconds away from leaving until I decided to ask if I can just sit myself down since I had a plane to catch in a couple of hours. Finally, I was seated. The gyros sandwich was ok, pita bread was not warm. It seemed I had to initiate everything from start to finish: Get seated, order from the menu, ask for refill, and ask for the check. I have had nothing but good experiences at this Olga's in the past, but I was extremely displeased with my most recent visit. A couple of weeks ago we ordered curbside pick-up and ended up waiting in our car for over 20 min past our posted arrival time. Two different vehicles came and were serviced before us, and each time the waitress came out she did not acknowledge our vehicle at all. Finally we went inside and waited for the woman at the cash register to finish her phone call before she would even look at us. There were four people in the kitchen, two waitresses, and even a guy cleaning the floor, so they were not understaffed. When we told her we would like our order because we have been waiting 20 min, she simply replied "fine" and gave us our order, which was sitting behind the counter. She never apologized or even acknowledged that we have been waiting for so long. When we got home we realized that one of our sandwiches was incorrect and the order was missing our fries. Very unhappy and likely will not be returning after the awful service we experienced. read more

Hostess ignored us when we came in. She walked away from us and put menus on a table and then came back to the hostess stand. She had not said hello or spoke to us. This is how she offered us seating. This felt very passive aggressive, as intended. The waitress who took our order could not have spoke faster if she had tried. It was like trying to unscramble a riddle. This was brought to her attention, she apologized and then spoke at an acknowledgeable rate of speed. She was friendly but checked in on us almost too often, she must've asked us seven times how everything was. We were interrupted our table twice in regards to helping them check on the ketchup container and then the saltshaker. This was as stated, a very strange experience. The food in and of it's self was fine. My sandwich was not warm enough though, and neither was my sisters. And the fries were not warm. My sister's husband's food from what I remember, it was fine. A hostess's job is to greet patrons, say hello, make eye contact, be friendly and offer them a seat. Basic, and if you can't do this, there's not much else youThe little girl acting as hostess this evening was a complete disaster. The waitress that we had, all she needed to do was tone it down a bit and talk at a normal rate of speed. And the food coming out of the kitchen, make sure it's warm. Not great. I ordered the original classic Olga meal. My salad was brown and saugy . I had asked for the classic Olga to be no onions extra tomato and it came with no onion and no tomato. My friend's order was messed up too and her fries were clearly old and cold. Our server never came back until he brought our checks either. No impressed at all. read more

THE BEST OLGA'S LOCATION I've ever been to in my life! I only wish I lived closer! Bring one of these new Olga's to our current digs in northern Michigan! Gaylord is desperate, lol... Been traveling around the U.S. recently and found the fast casual mediterranean chain Zoe's Kitchen, with great looking food, only to be disappointed with how flavorless and terrible everything we tried was. I hope this new Olga's takes off and is able to expand to many more locations. Our food (with friendly and efficient wait staff) was served very fresh, super flavorful and priced well. I read after the fact that the new owners returned to original Olga recipe ingredients, and I can't speak for whatever recipes they were using before, but these are perfect. The best spinach pies, Olga wraps and the greek salads we had were so very good. I'm drooling. There just isn't another comparison for this type of fast-casual dining. The new owners really hit the nail on the head for the restaurant design too. I was kind of floored by the thoughtful decisions they made even in the bathrooms that you don't often find in much nicer restaurants- and I'm from the big city of Chicago. Silly, but the point is you can tell they really care, and so do I! I've been forced to go to considerable effort to make my own "Olga bread" over the years for living too many places that don't have an Olga's! Ha! I'm hoping this new incarnation thrives and that I can visit more often! read more

The place is really nice for an Olga's. Great decor. The watress was super nice and friendly. But, we over heard her apologize to the cooks for putting in an order. Saying, "don't be mad at me, but I have an order. " It was 9 and they close at 10. My food was not hot, but not cold either. They were putting up the chairs and I felt bad being there when they obviously wanted to go home. I will come back tho since they were so friendly. The place was super clean as well. Olga's is Olga's. That's why you go. But service here is not the best. On our way to appointment with plenty of time to spare. Two orders of Olga original with fries and salad, and an extra piece of bread. How are the salads not ready until after over half the meal is gone? Have always gotten the salads first. A week ago I purchased dinner for my coworkers and myself by ordering online via the Olga's website from the Olga's on Washtenaw Rd in Ann Arbor, MI. Our food was never delivered so I contacted the restaurant and they said to contact the delivery company because they had no idea what happened to our order, all they knew was that it had been picked up. I finally found on the website that they use DoorDash. DoorDash then told me to contact the restaurant because I did not use the DoorDash app to buy the food. The transaction on my bank statement shows the purchase as "Olga's Kitchen", so I assumed the restaurant could refund my money. However, every person I have talked to, including the manager, has told me they will call me back after confirming what to do with a higher-up but no one has followed up with me after multiple phone calls to the restaurant. I just want my money back for the service I never received and contacting the restaurant has been of no use so far. read more

We visited Olga's for lunch yesterday. It was our first time at this location, and it had been years since we'd eaten at Olga's. My husband and I both got the original Olga, curly fries, and small salads. We really were looking forward to it, but ended up disappointed. While it wasn't awful, we have had much, much better gyros at Coney Islands as well as one of our favorite diners. The silverware, especially my husbands, was not very clean, and seemed almost greasy. We asked the waitress for new silverware, which she promptly bought, and apologized, too. The bread was the best part. It was soft and fresh. The meat on the other hand was dried out and not served very hot. Some pieces actually were cold. The sauce was totally bland! I was expecting tzatziki, and it basically tasted like plain yogurt with nothing added. Curly fries were pretty good, though a bit greasy. Salad was ok. Lots of iceburg lettuce. I asked the waitress for ranch dressing instead of the house. She gave the salad without dressing instead to my husband, and didn't deliver any ranch until I reminded her. Our waitress to her credit was nice. Just not terribly efficient. If we return, we will not get the original Olga's. read more

Food is always good. But ordering mobile/online was clunky and frustrating, the payment didn't go through. When I got to the restaurant for pick up, the pickup parking spaces were full with cars that were NOT picking up, they were empty. Olga's was out of the soup we ordered, replaced with another item. When we got the take out home it was missing one of the 'snackers' and an order of french fries. So the small portions for the 'pick two' were extremely small without the rest of the order. What Olga's Kitchen generally has going for it is not great food, but their ability to provide a consistent taste that people associate with their food. It's like you don't go to McDonald's because you want a really good burger, you go because you have a taste for McDonald's. Today I had a taste for Olga's and what I always order is the peasant soup and spinach pie. The server informed me the spinach pie would take up to 20 minutes. Hmmm, that's new...but okay, I'll wait. The pie I received certainly wasn't the Olga's spinach pie I've had at any Olga's anywhere in the past. This pie was mainly a cheese pie with some spinach in it. I don't know what kind of cheese but it looked like runny large curd cottage cheese. It was so unappetizing to look at I didn't bother to finish it. If this is the direction Olga's is taking with their food I can't see a point in going back. read more

I love Olga's white-bean chicken chili, but at THIS PARTICULAR OLGA'S (on Washtenaw) it's always sort of "soupy"; more broth and beans than chicken chili. In contrast, the chicken chili at the Briarwood location always has lots of chicken, and is filling. read more
