My mother doesn't speak English well, so I helped translate. We explained her internist needed clearance from a cardiologist to restart blood pressure medication, which had previously been stopped during a hospital stay. Dr. Yuen didn't bother reviewing any of my mother's recent tests or consulting her family doctor. Instead, she demanded a repeat EKG and blood work and refused to help when my mother expressed concern over insurance coverage and test duplication. When I asked if she would speak with the internist or provide the necessary clearance, Dr. Yuen said, "Your mother refused testing," and walked out. Moments later, she called security--on a 93-year-old woman with limited English who had done nothing wrong. It was shocking, cold, and completely lacking in compassion. She showed no interest in helping and seemed focused on rushing to the next patient. I left feeling like this was all about billing, not care. I would never recommend Dr. Yuen or Scarsdale Medical Group. Our elders deserve far better.

I was skeptical but within 15 minutes, Dr. Adler called and reassured me but suggested I drop into their Heathcote office on Saturday morning to see a doctor. Scarsdale Medical has walk in hours on Saturday and Sunday, no appointments are necessary. I showed up at 7:55, and while their hours are 8am-5pm, their office was open and within 10 minutes, I was seen by Dr. Sarah Van Wagner. Dr. Wagner took my vitals, examined me and within another 20 minutes I walked out of their office with a smile on my face, feeling great. I think it's pretty amazing to be able to get such amazing medical treatment from such a dedicated team of professionals. My family has gone to him for decades as do many of our friends' families. He is like THE local doctor. Although he has so many local patients, I have never heard a bad story and can call up several situations in which he has literally saved the lives of members of my family by noticing little things (turned out to be not so little things) in routine check-ups. He examined me carefully and recommended an MRI, while I was there he gave me a through physical. I find Dr. Fialk to be an extremely knowledgeable and caring physician. Dr. Fialk is an excellent diagnostician who treats the whole patient, he does not beat around the bush, he tells you what his findings are, and how he feels they should be dealt with. He is a straight from the shoulder doctor which is something I greatly appreciate. Over the last few years I have developed a personal relationship with him and find him to be a most interesting person. I am lucky to have found this doctor.
