What does evil look like? It looks like a scam artists playing on sympathy while shoving $600+ invoices in your face! I walked in with a sick cat, an older cat, but not a dead cat. I came out with a loopy cat doing somersaults when I got her home and about 30 min later she was dead! I lost one of the very best things in my world because of this clinic. After composing myself and calling them to properly inform them of the situation, I also demanded a refund for the killing of my kid. They were compassionate, but un wielding with results. I point blank told them, you killed my kid and I'm not paying for that! I was later told that they did nothing wrong and will not refund me. I hung up and instantly called my CC company to dispute the charge! It's all horrible, death is beyond words when you have love for the lost ones. After years of dealing with them and multiple pets/babies, I have seen a very clear pattern. I was here in the Oley Valley long before them, I watched that building being built. From my dogs to my cats I took them all to the Oley Valley Animal Clinic. In the last 12 years I would say the place changed a lot! Not real vets anymore, just middle men/women sending you to the ones that can actually do the job necessary for your pet/friend/kid. But this last example as I break behind keyboard. This needs special attention! When I walked in to the patient room I took Carmin out of the box and set her on the table, that weighing scale table. Seconds later I was greeted with an intern that point blank asked me: "are we going to do any blood work today?" I'm dumbfounded holding my kid on the weighing table. Just WFT did you just ask and why? It was crystal clear to me right then and there. All smoke and mirrors here. But then the "vet" came in and began to examine my kid. Credit due where it's warranted, she sat on the floor to examine my baby even though regurgitating old news. She recommended a pain killer and a steroid. Now what could go wrong with that? It did, go wrong! My kid was seeing things, as if we have a ghost here and there but my kid was seeing it/them. She was very afraid of a certain corner, kept looking at it like someone was standing there and it was a stranger. I didn't know she was so close to the end, I was working elsewhere in the house when my baby came running in and just layed down at me feet and died. So did my world at that moment! I'm not good yet, but I cannot wait a year to tell you to stay the hell away from the middleman Oley Valley Clinic! My cat of 18yrs passed away on 1 -16- 2025. I decided I would bring him to this veterinary facility for "end of life supportive care." I was very pleased with Dr. Fegan. She was very supportive and compassionate and also knowledgable. The one thing though, that really bothers me, and still bothers me to this day, is the fact that they couldn't take the time to send out a "sympathy card" for our loss... That will always leave an everlasting impression on me on how they really felt about my pet. read more

Would have given a lower rating if I could. A few weeks ago we had our 4 yr old lab there for a tooth extraction at the clinics suggestion. Then from there it was downhill quickly. Our dog stopped eating and drinking. Lost 12 pounds in a week. We took her back in, they prescribed meds and special food. Called them said it is not working, they prescribed more meds. No luck, took her back in and were told the pain meds given may have caused stomach ulcers. More meds given and still nothing, poor dog was in pain. Finally gave up and died at our feet. This should not have happened. What is worse no one followed up to see what happened. This is terrible and upsetting. read more

Had to change my review after YEARS of Our 3 plus dogs going there for treatment. Our dog had a growth on His paw. Took Him and we saw a new doctor, Dr Gerow. She was awful, suggesting nothing but have an expensive test done for tumor and prescribing only 3 days of steroids. She took Him in the back and said she saw nothing, but 2 days later we got a lit magnifying glass and pulled DOZENS of ingrown hairs out with a tweezers!!! I texted through the app on Tuesday, as we were told results would be in by Wednesday. When the receptionist called back, I was trying to tell Her about the ingrown hairs and all She kept doing was reading from the script that the results would be 2 weeks and giving me the receptionist brushoff!!! She never heard a word about the ingrown hairs and that his ulcer was no better at all as was obvious on Friday when this doctor called back with the negative test results and She knew NOTHING about Us pulling all the hairs out from His growth on His paw and that I even had called at all! NOTHING!!! She suggested we bring Him in and spend MORE money to see what they could find! I don't even see Her name listed on the website as a doctor! I questioned who she was the day we met her and knew there was another doctor there we never met so figured she was the one. We have spent THOUSANDS of dollars at Oley Vet over the years because we Love Our animals, but service and Respect in the cases of Our family must be consistent or, as the old saying oes, one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch! We took Our little guy to another vet , they checked it thoroughly in front of Us and, after 3 days, the bubble on His paw has shrunk considerably!! ......Found out from records that the results were held from me, even though I called AND went into the clinic to pick up another week of antibiotics!!! I was RIGHT THERE on Wednesday at 10:30, they called at 10:02 and the RESULTS WERE THERE AT 9:02 that morning. A test to tell me if Our dog had cancer and Nicole Hart-less told them to wait til Friday to call!!! What compassionate vet would EVER even think of doing this What PERSON would ever do this with any Heart ???!! Why would we EVER take our Family back to this now CORPORATE run facility. On the records also, there is a statement that I called and "roughly" removed hairs from His infection. I NEVER EVER used the word roughly, that is all made up in the records to suit their egos and to protect themselves if the infection got worse. I love Dr. Gerow. She's professional, empathetic, a great listener and my puppies love her, too. All 18 of them. My adult dogs enjoy going to the vet to see staff and drs. I couldn't believe what happened today! I called and spoke to someone very nice and helpful, Jordan I believe, and made an appt for a stray wounded cat that I found the night before. It had a bite and smelled horribly so I assumed infection. They said they could get me in within 40 minutes of the phone call so I left my nursing classes early in a hurry to rush the poor baby in. I called to let them know I may be 10 minutes late and someone else, very unpleasantly informed me that I needed to reschedule. I re-explained the situation and was told that "the doctors are on a schedule." As if this is something I was unaware of. I then asked if they knew anywhere else I could take this cat that needed medical attention and she told me: "no, sorry." You can't tell me you actually care about animals. Took it to another vet who assured me they would treat her and personally find her a new home. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Made my very 1st appointment at this office. We pull up follow the instructions on the sign, called to check in. I called gave pet name and parking space #4, was told someone would be right out for me. Meantime 2 new people pull up and get seen. The nurse/check in lady comes out and say can I help you with something, I said what do you mean I checked in before these other people 20 mind ago, she said oh sorry turned around went back in. Wait another 20 minutes and still nothing. A Total of 45 minutes later we just finally pull out and leave. I am a new patient this was horrible treatment. 1 hr total later I get a phone call saying they were out looking for you I explained the situation and said I will NEVER be back again. Wow, just wow. I can't believe the hospitality I received from all staff members and I can't say enough about the veterinarian that examined my pet. She was so knowledgeable and caring and made it a point to make sure I understood everything she talked about. I would like to thank the Oley Valley Animal Hospital for taking us in on an emergency situation my Snuggles was very sick, and I didn't know if she was coming home with me. I had called my previous Vet of which I was a customer of about 20 years, and live approx. 40 min. from, they didnt have time to see her, but Oley Valley Animal Hospital took care of us in 1 hour. DO NOT take your cat to Oley Valley Animal Clinic!! They continue to use adjuvant based rabies vaccines even though they have been proven to cause Feline Injection Site Sarcoma (FISS). A safer vaccine made from recombinant virus DNA has been available for 10 years and has a proven record of safety. I know this because OVAC injected my cat with the adjuvant vaccine, she developed tumors at the site and died within a year after the cancer spread. I took my cat to the Hope veterinary clinic in Malvern where the cancer was diagnosed via biopsy and CAT scan. If you search on Google Scholar there are numerous articles proving the danger of these adjuvant vaccines. Other veterinarians in our area use the recombinant vaccine including Willow Creek and the Pet clinics found in the Tractor Supply stores. OVAC admitted that the vaccines they use can and do cause FISS! Please save your cat's life and find a safer veterinarian!! read more

Dr. Fatkin and staff are the best! Friendly and professional. We have tried many other clinics closer to our home but none are as good as Oley Valley. We have 3 Vet clinics within 15 minutes of our home , yet we still drive over 45 minutes each way just to go there because of their superior service. They don't do unnecessary ($$$) tests like the other clinics just to get your money. They really care about your pet! read more

I would give 0 rating if I could. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT ANIMALS. I have been going to here for several year and after today I will NOT be returning. I hope you don't either. My dog had a seizer 3 weeks ago. This happened at 12:30 in the morning so we were not able to bring her here (thankfully). She was put on medication and was "loaded" with medication so the medicine would start working immediately. After leaving this hospital they asked for the vet information so they could fax over her report and what steps they should be taking to help my dog. They were supposed to call me 2 weeks to have my dogs level checked. I was never called and I wasn't aware of this or I would have called myself and made the appointment. Here's when the problem started. My dog has 2 seizers last night I called in the morning right away and asked if I should give her more medication (not knowing that her levels should be checked) . They never told me you should be bringing her in to get her levels in. The receptionist was so rude from the minute she answered the phone. She tells me that the medicine will take a "months" and not to worry unless she has another episode (doesn't mention having her levels checked). My dog has another one during lunch time. This is 3 seizers now in less than 8 hours. I call back again the same rude lady answers the phone and tells me again that it can takes months until the medicine starts working and me feel like I'm an idiot because I'm worried that my dog has had 3 seizers in 8 hours. Then has the nerve to tell me to call the hospital where I originally took her. This made me so upset they have seen my dog over 5 times why would I call the hospital where she was only seen once. It made me feel like they didn't even care. So I took her advice as I was told and call the hospital. They are in such shock that the receptionist didn't say to bring her immediately because this can be life threatening. I've been in contact with OVAC over 4 times in the last 3 weeks and they didn't mention once about getting her levels checked. Side note the medicine does NOT take months to start working that why the hospital "loaded her with the medication thru an IV". I call the OVAC back and tell this to the rude receptionist again and she is brushing me off again saying okay you can bring her in I can't give you an estimate she should have just said hey I don't care what you need stop calling. She's acting like I'm a bother for making her do her job. I don't know the test she needs neither does the vet. I ask her to call the hospital and she tells me to call them? Like I have been all day going back and forth. OVAC is my vet for years why aren't you helping me? So disconnect the call with her. She claims she looked at the reports the hospital faxed over. My question is why would the vet with or without seeing her not know the basic test a dog needs? Seizures in dogs is not that uncommon. I call back and thankfully get someone else that actually wants to help me. Why aren't they telling me she needs her levels checks, why are they telling me to bring her in, why are they brushing off her 3 seizures off like nothing. This receptionist tells me the test she needs and the cost an "estimate" and bring her in. POINT BLANK I should have not had to call them 4 times in one day before being told I should bring her in. But why would I ever go back to them? The lady that I spoke first should not have job in customer service because she doesn't know how to treat people and makes it VERY apparent she doesn't like her job. read more
